I suppose if the "fake Picture frame" changes position and colour with each image change the chance of burn in is lower. Perhaps you can get around it with a custom gallery.
That said they can always sell you a bezzele surround that looks like a Picture frame or you can make your own.
Shame it's missing as at least and "opt in" option.
I wonder if the frames are still there on LCD TV's with an art mode ?

In my country the 48 inch C2 is the same price as the 55 inch CS. I took the CS and it is absolutely mind blowing, this is my first TV purchase and I am absolutely blown away.

I'm out of the loop why would anyone buy a c2? The cs seems like a C1 which is so similar to a c2 so what am I missing?

The Power cable is normal length in Oceania, 77" is also available. I like the remote, apart from the gloss, but I agree with you on the App bar.

I have got 55 inch C1 few weeks before CS rolled out, any way there is no where to buy CS in my country so I am happy with my purchase. It is almost the same TV in my opinion.
My aunt came over to see the new tv and my cousin's daughter she is 5 years old and we were watching one of those nature channels and she saw it and her words was oh my her mind was also blown 😂😂 by how good OLED tv looks

@@swekiwi4517 doesn't feel like it with stock settings for screen care. Auto dimming hasn't been a problem for me when watching movies or playing games. The screensaver shows up during reasonable away from screen time.
Love my C1 and watched your review of it that helped me go for it. Got one at the start of the year when C2 about to come out. Seeing the new ones I still am happy with C1 thankfully, it’s horrible when a new thing comes out and you want the next model along.

i bought the 65 inch vertion of this tv and it was a nightmare putting the stand on it.the tv is so thin and very delicate i was panicking when i was putting it upright before lifting it onto my unit lol. its like lifting a very heavy thin cardboard out the box if you know what i mean ..but well worth it. the pic quality is brill.
Agree I'm wary of damaging the tv when mounting and I don't get the obsession with thin screens at all.
I was in the same situation. I was sweating bullets when we had to put it upright after putting on the stand. It look like the screen was gonna snap. 😅

Thanks for highlighting my no 1. issue with modern TV's, a fixed power lead. Do LG and others realise that many people want to wall mount and trunk these cables!!
You wouldn't believe how many people say I'm being fussy when I mention it, yet I've lost track of just how many people say it puts them off buying the TV because of it being fixed and short.
The way I see it is that it takes people like me moaning about it for companies to listen.If nobody complained then they would have no reason to change things for the better.

It’s a beautiful TV, however a little bad with the settings. Especially on TV channels it’s not pretty.
I tried various settings, for all sources. Would you have a tutorial for setting the CS? A big thank you.

Always love these not so good things video’s Paul. Company’s always sell a tv on the good and miss out a lot of small technicalities as they can’t ever be specific to any one persons household and setups. I wouldn’t think to checking cable length of whether it fixed. Keep up the good work pal ❤

Merry Christmas. Here in Australia this has appeared in our big box retailer”JB Hi-Fi”. I am interested in the C2 but expensive. The C1 has gone from the shelves 😢. I agree that a short power lead is just cheap manufacturing. Not being able to detach the power lead is also a retrograde step. My next beef is that the wall mounting as you pointed out will set the screen too high (wall mounted) and there will be some annoying adjustments for the bracket and subsequent wall patching I’m not too worried about the remote as I will run it from the Apple TV box. Thanks for the review.

Had this TV for just over a week - AFAIK it is a C1 Panel with the Processor from the C2. The SW Interface is a step backwards from the 'premium ' models. As rightly pointed out - most of the worst things apply to CX and C1 So far my only dissapointment has been this model lacks TWO CALIBRATED Picture mode settings. Expert Mode Bright Room and Dark room - which are really wonderfully pre-calibrated settings that I believe come at a Money cost to LG to have certified. All the critical features you would want are there (HDR, Filmmaker mode, Gaming mode. ALL, Gsync , dolyby vision, atmos support and some more !!!!) but you will almost certainly have to tweak settings and colour and brightness more out of the box than the 'premium models. ' Got my 55" for under £800 from a reatailer offering a Credit related discount. Say no more - Credit is not for everyone and zero interest to promote an retailers.
my CS had the Expert Modes but only when viewing certain content.
hey must've added these in an update because my 55cs has all of the things you mentioned as well as film maker mode, but that aside i dont actually like them so they are too warm and oddly just prefer the standard picture mode.

Hi Paul, You're a life saver with these videos, many thanks! Just bought this 55" TV & want to mount it over the fireplace (wires concealed). 1. No clue what mount to buy-called LG, they sent me to Amazon to choose, any suggestions? Need slight movement and tilt option. It's SO thin, we're not removing it from the box! 2. Short power cable is a big concern. Have a huge DVD collection we want connected to existing Blu-ray to watch our own. Seems like with that short power cable, not sure we can do that. I'm praying yes....at this point I'd better watch the BEST things. So excited, now feel discouraged but your videos are so informative!

I don't know why anyone would get upset at you? these aren't even bad things to most people. It's an awesome TV. Everything has it quirks not matter what brand/model you buy.
Yep this tv is amazing but these things you've mentioned none of them are any bad for a tv in fact one my concern or maybe a more of wish is that the bazels should've been slightly more thin but other than that these are tiny things which are very common in almost in all tvs.
I plan on placing it on furniture and I am worried I won’t find a sound bar slim enough to fit under the tv without obstructing the view. Suggestions appreciated please.

Yeah in NZ and AU the CS comes in 55 65 and 77 inch sizes.
As there's no play/pause button on the remote for this TV I was more than a bit miffed with the long winded procedure to pause live TV but by chance found that my old LG remote (which does have those buttons) actually worked on this TV, bit naf having to use 2 remotes but it's a lot quicker than the new way.
You should try and get your hands on a a95k. Coming from a CX the a95k is a good step up. The power cord is detachable, the controller is the best you can get with a TV, and the picture quality is nearly perfect

A criticism just about how to improve your audio speech. Stop repeating ‘the next worst thing about this tv is’. Instead just say ‘next’… it will dramatically reduce your duration of the video, keep the audience intrigued and keeping it concise is better.

I changed two oled C1 tvs because of dead pixels problems but some of my heart love the quality of oled TVS and some of it afraid of dead pixels and short life of oled tvs
Now LG’s company because of warranaty make me to choose one of LG’S TVS
And lam confused between this two TVS

2-LG QNED 806 QA 55 inches

Could someone tell me the distance between the mounting holes on the 65" model? Need to know if my current stand will accommodate it, thankyou.
LG sell a Premium Magic Remote separately. The LG PM22 GN which is included with the Z2 and is similar to the C2 Star Wars Edition remote. It's a long brushed metal remote, far more premium looking and feeling. It's not cheap at 50-99 euro and oddly it seems only to be sold in Germany. So getting a version without the Rakuten TV may not be possible.
It should work with any OLED dating back to the B9/C9/G9 era. It seems new magic remotes work with old TV's but older magic remotes don't operate newer TVs.
If you have a GX/CX/BX or G9/C9/B9 you can save some money by buying the LG PM20GN. But it won't work on the G1/C1/B1 or G2/c2/B2 etc...

Only just realised this CS was a thing, I have the C2 but to be fair it looks pretty good.
Oh and yeah the UI is terrible, I’d love if they had the bottom row of apps with the rest of the screen clear, a long home button press could bring up all the stuff in the centre. Issue is I think it’s intentional so they can advertise.
Picked it up, and yes, installing was quite scary - the top is so thin and I was not used to it. Took 3 of us to lift it an get it installed on a stand. Wish I had seen your install videos first :)
How you getting on with the TV?

I will look at wall mounting it as it looks so good in your videos (floating design) - but we just had a black Friday sale, and the new C2 was lower priced than the CS - feel a bit burnt by that - but the CS is really good-looking on its own. The reflections are a bit annoying (I have a Samsung Frame with a matt finish with almost zero reflections in contrast).
Hi I have a nanocell 49nano86 tv... would a budget A1 oled be a good upgrade in picture quality? as these tv are very cheap at the moment!
Why would anyone buy a c2 over this though? What am I missing isn't it basically a C1 which is almost identical to a c2?

If your tv suffers from burn in, does your warranty cover that? Like can you return it to be fixed or for a replacement?
It's not advertised as such, but it is often done on a case by case basis.

Got the 65 C2 and thought I still had a protective sticker on the screen, there is a fine line 3mm boarder around the edge of the screen and is visible in playback, didn’t have it on my Panny Jz1500.
I can see it visible on this display as well, it’s like having a poor fitting screen protector on a phone.
Not sure how to get rid of it, not sure if it’s a over scanning issue, but love the to otherwise.
I bought the LG CS 55 inches and compared it to my fathers LG CX 65 inches. I thought the CX looked a lot better on streaming. I don’t understand this

Bought the 55CS6 before I found your reviews !, but thanks anyway. After swapping out my damaged (curved) LG OLED 55, the CS screen is very flimsy by comparison so it needs a lot of care when handling. Because of the poor design of the 55CS, there is no possibility of access to the rear connectors when the TV is wall mounted to a fixed bracket. The cables need to be connected prior to mounting on the wall, unless some form of adjustable bracket is fitted. Which I'm about to fit and using 90Deg/right angle adaptors.
I could not get the 65 C2 they cancelled the order no longer available, but is this one just as good as it’s available might get it still a OLED. you said it’s a amazing tv.

Any TV that is sold and produced is not perfect. It will always be like that.
I was fuming when I set it up to find the power cord was fixed and short. I cant hide the cable and have a clean look.
I also thought the remote design is awful. Why is the ok button sunken in?
Overall I’m happy with it and bought so I can have full effect of ps5.

Samsung have done it too to the new Interface on the Q**B TVs too, the screen don't completely disappear & goes into PIP, it don't have it on the QN90A last year TV better imo

Hi Paul, I'm so sorry brother I don't want to be negative but I have to call a spade a spade and say that this might be the worst TV review I've ever seen. It's like as if you're angry with LG. Lol Almost everything on the cons list can be flipped into a pro. Short cord? Saves space. It comes with a stand so 90% of people will NOT be wall mounting it. Next: the screen sizes. I guess this one can be considered a con but again the lack of sizes is probably one of the main reasons it's discounted. 55"-65" is fine - that's the average range most people have. But I'll give you this one. Variety helps. Next: Remote Control - dude it's the same remote that comes with all the LG OLEDS. They do scratch easy but it's the same remote as the others so I don't see it as a con. Next is the Apps Bar - once again it's the same as the rest of them so I don't get the point there although I do agree I'd rather it be the way it was but that's something that came in an update so it's not indicative to the CS. And oh my god the borders on the screensaver art? C'mon man. Those white borders are driving the pixels the hardest because white requires ALL the colors to produce it. But I think they had a small selector border types so it didn't have to be white and also to your point it'd be nice to have the choice but I understand the logic of removing it altogether means if more people used the borders it increases the chance of burn-in even if it's not white a static image is a static image. Next one: Burn-in. Really dude? Burn-in?? If someone is watching your reviews odds are they already know. It's something every OLED is susceptible to so I think that's just redundant. Next: The design - you had to have had some sort of falling out with LG - I mean the design? You're giving them flack for them being so thin when that's exactly the design aspect that attracts everyone to OLEDS. Next one: Glossy finish. Lol I'm sorry Paul every one of these critiques are hilariously exaggerated. Glossy finishes produce a superior image. Whoever is watching TV in a bright room is probably NOT buying an OLED. And if they do opt for an OLED for a bright room odds are they watch a lot of sports and news which is notorious for causing burn-in so I wouldn't recommend an OLED to those people. Watching movies, TV series and gaming is mostly done in a dark or ambient lit room so the Glossy finish is the way to go, IMO. So that's a pro not a con in my book. Finally we come to a legit drawback - "Availability." If they're going to make an "in-between" or "value" OLED it should be available wherever LG's are sold. But can't I just order it online? Probably not worth the shipping but I'm just curious. Okay - last LAST thing here - Paul, I love you brutha - but you completely missed the only real con to buying this TV - NO EVO OR EX PANEL. So this TV is marginally 20% LESS bright than the C2 AND B2. I realize that this is extremely long and that probably nobody will read it but I felt I had to say something here. So in closing I only see 3 potential cons to this TV - the biggest being the lack of EVO panel then the limit on sizes and finally the availability. But really the only one that matters to me is the lack of EVO. Honestly I think LG had some extra panels left over from 2021 maybe the A to C series even though they supposedly ran out of C1 panels in early 2022 so they had to use G1 panels for some of the C1s which I have on my 77" C1. But I'm not trying to void my warranty tempting as it may be. Lmk if you want me to autograph this book. 😂 💙

I kinda feel bad when I hear that there are bad things about any of my purchases really. But anyway i am more than satisfied with my tv. Im not sure if I should have gone with the C2, but that would only be because of the great design improvements since c1.

Personally decided for B2 were cheaper (bought 2 of them).

Heads up if you are in game optimiser mode and just want to switch the screen off not the TV press the home button then settings button quickly after and the side menu will pop up. Create a 'screen off'shortcut on the side menu. ✨️

@@dapi90 none yet though I am meticulous with my tech they are all my tech babies so I spoil them. 😊 best tv I've owned so far. Very happy. I run my pc from it and a pioneer atmos amp and it all just works plug n play 12 bit hdr 120hz.

Bought one a couple of weeks ago and wanted to watch uhd on sky, the thing is I had to change settings to enable me to watch 4K and uhd, any clue why this is not set a as standard.
It's the same for all Sky boxes mate. I had to change the settings on my Sky Q to get 4k HDR
The worst thing about OLED TV’s is judder and stutter with motion handling. Anyone coming from a plasma or CRT TV will confess to this, especially for gaming. As far as you receiving unacceptable hate comments, obviously these are insecure people who need to think before they speak. I consider however their actions are fuelled by thumbnails and titles like this one with the thumbs down and everything, that essentially implies there are actual big problems making it a bad or “worse” product. Making it feel like they just wasted their money and did a bad purchase. I believe if you worded these kinds of videos differently as merely things to consider, it would come across as less confusing and misleading for buyers. I also think you would receive less hate.

The availablity is a bad thing because CS model is made for the middle eastern such as myself that's why in the fixed wire you'll see this letter "ج" it's represent the quality so yeah in the middle east it's available but the rest of the world not that much unfortunately (sorry for my bad English)
I'd add, turn the screen and auto turn on the ps5, this is really annoying, had to disable the functionality on the PS5. On my old Sony I was able to turn on the PS5, and the PS5 Turn on the screen, not the other way around. And I'd agree, I was afraid to break this while putting on the wall and I have to do new holes on the wall.

Really not an issue unless you have a light source behind the TV.
