    Lot of car for the money to be fair Lee. Rear bumper is a must. I would be half tempted to leave the wings unless you find some cheap ones as it is an old car. The main thing is the oily bits. Nice that you’ve sold it and good of you to do your staff member a favour. Looking forward to the new content as ever mate. Cheers!

      Hi martin, sometimes I just flip cars on like this one so not always possible to follow up, I do try and get a bit of workshop fixes in some videos but its very difficult as we are a full time working garage and I am constantly on phones, dealing with customers and mot's in between so don't get the time I would like to do more filming. However I do have changes a foot to get a better balance and push forward the channel and content in the coming months

    I literally was thinking about the pinch bolt before you mentioned it and had a little chuckle when you did. The amount I see on the Audi forums for these and the b8 where the bolt has snapped when trying to remove. It’s a nightmare.
    I own a b8 2.0tdi myself. They go for miles. Lovely when they’re right. Mines currently got 210k thou me doing 140k in last few years. Barely missed in a beat in that mileage.
    Looked after and they go forever with minimal problems.

    another good warts-n-all video Lee.
    the 8/3/21 MOT failure tells a story on that front suspension.
    as Henry Cole often says (when he's not losing money on a tractor deal) "its a case of SPQR - small profit quick return"

    I’m not a car dealer but I like to buy a car off the auction now and then I’ve bought a Volvo 240 1982 what do you think is the best place to list it?

    • @carukchannel

      Hi taxi, type in on ebay (audi a4 painted wings) and you will find a number of companies selling painted wings, you can message them your paint code and they will sort for you if you cant find your colour

    • @carukchannel
      @carukchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi glyn, to be honest I sell most of mine via word of mouth / customers coming to the garage asking. I seem to have built up a reputation and small customer base over the years. We normally get one ready fix up sell and move onto another. Saying that I have got a few cars stored up near ready to sell currently as something bigger is going on which I will go into in a video next month. Thanks for watching glyn and enjoy the bank holidays

      cant tell without removing the box however i would guess replaced as 140k on same clutch snd flywheel is unlikely for how sharp the clutch feels

    Those cheap Chinese suspension arms won’t last 6 months, probably even less but I guess when your selling low end cars it’s all about getting them out the door as cheap as you can.

    • @carukchannel
      @carukchannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      A little bit of unfair assessment, I have a few vehicles that come back to me for MOT with parts from online non OE and years later going fine with no issues, occasionally you get some bad quality parts but I have had some crap genuine parts and bosh parts lately from my local dealers so its not always the case that buying premium is the only way, I try to weigh up cost and quality where possible on the cars I am selling as you rightly put. thanks for watching Umar 👍👍

    2.0 tdi is good engines 1.9 better but simple 8 valve reliable motor. Could never figure why they rust on wings poor construction?😮

    • @carukchannel
      @carukchannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure on the audi's but the golfs and boras of this age had sponges in the wings to soak up moisture and supposed to drain away, ironically they got full of crap and mould and just collected the water and rotted the wings inside out
