Thank you for having a video on such a specific topic. In about a year my partner and I want to get an RV but i am disabled and with me passing out all the time, i get to look into ~fun~ things like if the corners on counters are rounded or if ill hit my head on something. I also will probably be using my wheelchair more for safety reasons soon, so this really helps.
use the wheelchair by my self. Converted my camper with a lift and I‘am abel to do everything by my own, cause I don’t have any help. In USA it‘s more simple to drive a truck, in europe austria where I come from you have the 7200lbs rule. When you have more than this maximum weight, you have to pay road toll per mile you drive and other rules for heavy trucks.
Great video! We have a camper van with an Under Vehicle Lift & hand controls. We love it! & my quadriplegic husband drives it but I do too. Our van let's up see the country in comfort!
Sounds like a lot of fun! How long have you been traveling? We’ve talked about getting an RV with a lift once the kids are grown to make getting in and out of the RV easier for us. 😊
Hi Justin. Yes I still use the platform and ramps to get in and out of the RV. I couldn't justify the cost to go to a unit with the lift built in. Maybe someday someone will invent an affordable lift that easily mounts to the doorway, and and can still take the weight of wheelchair and user.
The wheelchair lifts on RVs are really nice and we would have loved one but they take up a lot of room inside the RV and with 5 of us and two dogs living in a 33 foot RV we need all the space we can get. 😁

We’re glad it helped you. And good luck in your ventures

Wow. That’s great that you could do the conversion and be so self sufficient. 💪🏻
So glad I came across this video, I have spina bifida, and I have a place to park an rv, or travel trailer, I just need to find the right option,

Can I ask where you got your ramps?

Thanks, Zachary!
Do you still use this ramp system? (Asking as a fellow paramobilehomer)
