fun fact: The spear of Adun is actually 74.5 KM long.
It's also powered by a miniature sun and can mess with time and space.
It was also able to hold off the entire Golden Armada (the largest Protoss fleet in all of starcraft) by itself.
And the Protoss had 3 of them...
Thats why i love them,but in the end every tournament they lose to zerg

How can a probe be so tall? We saw in the cinematics that Zeratul and Artanis aren't that much taller than Raynor. I think the scale on this video is way off.
Same here. Event without marine armor, Raynor is no 0.5m smaller than Artanis
from what i remember of the LOTV oppening cinematic the probe is about the right size, and i've seen that cinematic a lot of times
@@Rosielx In LOTV after the battle to take the keystone from amon's hybrids on a terran planet, a cinematic with Raynor paying respects to the soldiers, artanis appears visibly taller than Raynor IN the marine armor, with Zeratul you dont see that in the WoL cinematic where he appears because he doesnt stand straight up
Maybe they mean his hover height, when he's feeling confident and empowered
and all infantary protoss look like giants
For those saying that the scale is of for the artanis and Raynor cut scene were Raynor was just as tall. Remember . The marines suits makes you taller when you wear them
The CMC Powered Combat Suit is 2m-2.15m tall, Artanis is taller than the Average Protoss. If we take this scale and apply it to Artanis, Artanis would be a meter higher than Raynor in Armor, which isnt the case.
@@XochiCh the powered combat suit is only 2 -2.15 meters tall? That's just over six feet, barely above average male human height. That's much short than i'd expect for a huge suit of armor.

@@brunosandric7568 Yeah I just watched it. You're right. I am just surprised. I thought they had these big-ass boots and super thick helmets and were 7-ish feet tall in their armor. Guess not! So yeah, the scale does seem off, and the cinematics don't seem to mesh with official Blizzard descriptions.
@@XochiCh Zealots and Templar in general are much taller than the average Protoss. They come from the tribes that produce the tallest, strongest and fittest protoss. 2.8m is not that off for a Zealot.

It is power armor not a suit.
This is year 2500, humans could have evolved taller, which would not be a suprise since we constantly evolve height wise

I remember BZ had sold a model(like ops and mech swarm, I don't know did I get the right translation or not) is the protoss rebuilt their unit using terran technology

It makes sense that it's that big, even in cutscene featuring it besides carriers, it makes carrier looks incredibly small despite Carrier being a capital ship is actually very big.
Bigger. Much bigger. The spear of Adun is 29k km TALL, it must be over 100 km long, city that's that big across is not a small city. This thing would cast a shadow over the whole of like... Tokyo.

I thought Colossus was taller, at least equal to the flight height of a plane about 300m since they got shot by Vikings.
64 meget is still quite a lot! Should be enough to be hit by anti Air I guess... You dont want one of these walkers bearing down on you ;)
Colossi are tall, but 300 meters is really, really freaking high up there - taller than most of the world's skyscrapers. Godzilla is less than half that height. That said, 300 meters would be very low altitude for most aircraft, and the AA vulnerability thing is primarily for game balance.

For those who confused why the height is difference, the wiki informed in general protoss height is around 2.5- 3 meters standing upright, ehilebthe youngling is average adult human tall, around 1.7 to 1.8

Void Rays are massive near the in-game scale.
And a single marine can take a down a carrier... when it wouldn't. Remember Raynor and Tychus having a firefight INSIDE the Bucephalus from "Junior" Mengsk on story campaign.
A single marine can not in any scenario take down a carrier.

I don't believe the mechanical Zealot is canon. While there are mechanical Zerg units that the Terrans created (they are in-game), there aren't any for Protoss.

It's top to bottom, If I remember correctly the length is about 1km

@@splitz4615 I think you are confusing the carrier with the spear of Adun that had like 100.000 protoss in it, but carriers only carry interceptors. Al least that's what I remember, might me wrong, haven't played Lotv in a while.
So basically, dark templars are like Irkens, and high templars are like The Almight Tallest.
Dark Templar do tend to be shorter than the average Aiur protoss, yeah. :)

The mother ship holds a gateway to the home world. And is at least 5x the size of a carrier. The height sounds about right but length and width and huge comparitively

No they weren't. In medieval times people were smaller because of a bad diet that didn't include enough healthy products. High neolithic humans prove to be pretty much the same size as modern homo sapiens.

If the Protoss is this freaking tall, I guess the "Human" in Blizzard Universe are not the real world Human.
For real, in Warcraft, the Orcs are even bigger and bulkier than the Protoss, yet in "Mists of Pandaria Cinematic Trailer", a "Human" could go toe to toe with an Orc.
And, we have seen these "Human" in many artworks before. A regular peasant or citizen of Blizzard could be as strong as the real world professional body builder.
You are absolutely correct.
Another example would be World of Warcraft the movie. The humans in the film could never look as cool as in any game trailers or cinematics. Actual humans are just too small and thin.

Just a Part of the Zealot comes in an Dragoon... Head and Chest maybe, they are woundet and wouldn´t live without that armor. Thats what i remember from Starcraft I Manual :-)
