I think the reason we did not get thunderbolt is the amount of power such drives would need for max transfer speed. I am saying that because my Trancend ESD310 USB SSD does up to 700MB per second when connected to my Mac, but only around 400MB when connected to my iPhone 15 pro max and I think the bottleneck is the 4.5 watt power delivery
I totally agree I can transfer my ProRes LT files way faster than real time from the external SSD to my Thunderbolt editing drive via my Mac thus making moving ProRes video files from The Transend SSD to the editing drive a none issue.

Please answer someone !!! Bro, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro can take 12 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. But iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro can only take 10 bit colour depth photo when ProRaw turned on. Why ? I don't have an iPhone, so can anyone please let me know if you turn ProRaw in 12 megapixel instead of 48 megapixel, can it take 12 bit photos ? I'm curious about this because, 12-bit = 68 billion colours. But, 10-bit = 1.07 billion colours. That's a huge difference. If iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro cannot take 12 bit photos, that seems to be a huge downgrade ! ???
Hey I have really enjoyed your videos. Can you do one on how to wipe your Mac with an ssd and then put everything back on to increase speeds? I bought a sandisk ssd recently to help me do this but I don’t know how. I have a 2019 MacBook Pro and it’s semi slow these days.
Actually, USB-C changes virtually nothing. Video output is still basic screen mirroring, which completely ignores the resolution of the display (and hacky workarounds like infinitex2p do not work for displaying apps). The only difference is the bump to 4k, which could easily have been done with lightning if Apple wanted. Accessories that people actually use are the same as they were on lightning. Lightning hubs exist. The main difference is the ability to have one cable to charge multiple things (unless you happen to need to charge more than one thing at once - then you need two USB-C cables as opposed to one USB-C and one Lightning).
Can I ask if you adjust any settings when recording using your audio interface and mic? I tried recording to my 15 Pro today using my own Evo interface and a studio condenser, but audio would only record on the left channel.
I didn’t adjust anything on the EVO, but if that happens to me I just edit it in the editing software to mono channel or duplicate the left track. I’d also recommend using a proper app to record, it should let you adjust channels there.
Hey Apple Fan Boys and Girls, just make that clear without the EU forcing Apple by law they wouldn't changed it to USB-C at all. Greetings from Germany

IMO Thunderbolt would be a bit of an overkill on the iPhone anyway. USB3 with 10Gbps is plenty fast for 98% of things.

Are you currently using the Pro model or have you switched to the Pro Max?
Does it supports 4K120 , 1440p120 or 1080p120 with type c to hdmi ?
Im so glad that iphone users are finally understanding how amazing usb c is
Fanboys still says lightening cable is best
@@champasama6839 I haven’t heard anyone say lightning is better ever since they had usb c on their Macbooks 10 years ago

Lightning cable is the best
But I don't see android users utilizing their USB-C to the optimum.
Hi you can use USB dock which supply power if the device you want to use needs more power

So how much different is the 15 pro from last year’s? USB C only?
3nm processor mostly

great video bro🔥💯
It's ironic how Google nerfed USB-C's functions in their Pixels
Wow awesome

"roughly half as fast as USB 3"
not quite, try 10x slower
Nice video as always …but missing the cat which used to be there earlier in all your videos …. Plz get your cat back in your videos going forward
She'll be in the next one 😜
I changed to Samsung at iPhone 14, purely because they STILL didn't have USBC. The 15 was one iteration too late for me to stay.

Really? Amazing? It took iPhone 12 years to find out how amazing USB-C on a phone??????? Apple the follower. Their innovation died with Steve.
usb c hasn’t even been out for 8 years…
12 years. You sure?😅
