What a great reaction, Ola. And I love seeing your reaction to how his voice touched you. Elvis had an amazing voice and there will never be another one like him. He was my mother's favorite singer as well. And even though I was very young when he passed away, he has always been a big part of my life. I felt your pain when you mentioned about you will never have the chance to discuss Elvis with your dad, but I know he's smiling down on you watching your enjoyment and admiration for this icon. And my condolences for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. God bless and please continue your reactions. They're so genuine and pure and very enjoyable and it makes me smile so thank you

Elvis had every sickness in the book at this point. His body was shutting down. But it just shows that the spirit and soul are more powerful then the flesh. This was a spiritual,.. other worldly performance out of Elvis,.. for that to come out of him. He couldn’t speak at first then he blew us all away with his great power,.. his love of music and his fans. “Charming” reaction as always Ola. Long live the king!!!✌️❤️

It makes me so happy to see you discover and react to Elvis. He was an amazing singer, performer, and entertainer! The greatest there ever was!!! His life was such a tragedy towards the end. This was his from his last concert and he passed 6-7 weeks later from a heart attack at the age of 42. He was so sick and out of shape at this time but as you see he still gave his fans 10000000%!! He loved his fans and he truly wanted us to please us, which he never disappointed!!

Bridge Over Troubled Water live in 1970, Vegas should def be your next Elvis. It wouldn't surprise me if that was one of your dad's favorite Elvis songs, (covers). I have a feeling your dad will be your bridge over troubled waters for the rest of your life. ❤❤ (have tissues on stand-by)

He was extremely ill at this point & just approximately 6 or 8 weeks away from dying -- very ill w-multiple health complications & a lot of medications. This concert was June 21st 1977, he died Aug. 16, 1977. This was the last FILMED concert but not the last -- he went on to do another concert on June 26th.
As good as others singers were/are, w-Elvis it was the emotion & passion that came from his soul & his gut that he put into every song he sang -- even the upbeat ones.

    • @paulhuggett7503
      @paulhuggett7503 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Actually Carol (and Olavity) he performed concerts on 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th June 1977 as well = not just the very last on June 26th!

@@paulhuggett7503(EDIT: I see where your confusion was because I did not use the word LAST regarding June 26th - which I just noticed now. I normally say Last on June 26th & missed it when copying my notes.) I am aware of all the other concerts he performed in between the 22nd & the 26th even tho' I did not mention those dates (which was not necessary). 90% of the world think his last was that "Unchained ...." performance on the 22nd -- I did say the 22nd was the last FILMED concert & I do know very well his LAST concert was on June 26th @ the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis.

Before I even started watching your reaction, I just wanted you to be aware that this is the last live filmed performance of Elvis. He will die approximately eight weeks later. If you notice he has trouble breathing, he doesn’t look well, but he gave the performance of a lifetime. Probably the most touching from the same concert. Rapid City 1977 would be how great thou Art from that concert 1977 and do my way as well from the same concert. It’s heartbreaking but he is beyond gut wrenching. His final goodbye. 💔

Correcting me about a couple of weeks here and there.
I don't like Internet cops that are trying correct others on soo small things.
The most important is that she understood the fact i was trying to tell.
The he was knocking on heavens door here and could probobly outshine every artist to day even when he is sick.
      That's the important part.
If it was 5 week or 8 weeks or whatever that's not important to the general public or for the message I'm trying to tell.
But therefore always going to be Internet cops out there that really loves to shine for a moment on thier own by Correcting others or bringing them down.

There is a 5 minute clip of Elvis from his movie King Creole starting Walter Matheau, Vic Morrow, and Carolyn Jones, where Elvis plays a busboy in a nightclub. The song he performs is TROUBLE. And you will absolutely flip at seeing him act and sing in one of his early movies.
My mother loved Elvis, too. I used to play his gospel songs for her when she was dying of cancer. She said it gave her comfort. I'm sorry for your loss. Maybe this will help. Elvis sings PEACE IN THE VALLEY on the Ed Sullivan Show. It is one of his popular gospel songs. Play it and enjoy.

His smile will send you to heaven. There is a video on YT where he is rehearsing ‘Don’t’ & is happy & relaxed. The video shows him rehearsing ‘Don’t’ with his musicians & then runs into a heavenly Resync with Elvis singing ‘Don’t’ with the Philharmonic orchestra …. The most beautiful of all his songs, as far as I am concerned, & my absolute favourite, so please give us Elvis fans a Reaction on this little known Elvis song, which shows off his amazing lower range vocals …..1970 rehearsal when Elvis was in wonderful shape at the age of 35 & looking totally gorgeous.

Unfortunately this was only a few weeks before his untimely death. He was incredibly unhealthy, overworked, and run down, however he kept performing. It's been said that there were some shows where he could barely stand up, yet he kept performing. It's truly amazing that even when he can hardly say full sentences, his voice never wavered when he sang. Truly one of the most resilient and talented artists of all time. This special was aired on TV a few months after his death. It always makes me cry. He sang his soul out but so sad to hear him out of breath and he looked so bloated. His smile was childlike. He didn’t want to do this concert. He was afraid his fans would not accept him. His fans are still loyal to this day. You can’t go wrong by reacting to anything on the 1968 comeback special. The first half was the sit down jam session with leather suit and the second part had several choreographed numbers including a gospel song. The ending song was If I Can Dream.

This song was Elvis saying goodbye and saying to God
I will be coming hone soon
    Elvis knew he was dying
It was 8 weeks before he died
    He was so tired
    He couldn't breathe properly
But as soon as he starts singing
You wouldn't know he was sick.
    To the end
    Elvis's voice never failed him
    What you were watching
Was a man who had so many health problems
Needed to take prescription drugs to keep him going
    Then one day
His body just gave up from all the stress and pressure he was under
Elvis had to sing because to many people depended on him
Like his EX wife Priscilla beaulieu
And his manager colonel Tom Parker
    Elvis was the king
The sad thing about all this
    Is that Elvis
    Thought he would be forgotten
It's been 47 years after his death and he is still the KING
And still making millions of dollars
    Elvis will live on forever
This song always makes me emotional
    But when he smiles
    You have to smile to
    It's so infectious
    Love you Elvis ❤

Elvis was in bad shape at this time and died shortly after but he still gave his all--strong voice still.

Jane H commenting ….. Elvis was a very sick man & this was the last time he performed in public. Eight weeks lately he was dead, gone from us, but Never forgotten. I cry every time I see this.

This wasn't long before he died. He was really struggling to breathe there so it just shows just how amazing his voice was! And no such thing as that ridiculous Auto Tune! Pure talent, through and through! RIP Elvis, you're still The King!

Elvis was in very poor health when he did this concert in 1977, & it was the final concert he ever did. Eight weeks later, he was dead. He had so many health issues by the time he performed this concert, & he was obviously exhausted, but Elvis never wanted to disappoint his fans. Being such a sick man, his voice is obviously not in his top form, but he still sang beautifully, in spite of that. He did sing Unchained Melody in an early concert, early in the 1970s, when he was full of health & vigour.

The Righteous Brothers version is the best ever but when it comes to Elvis he has never played 2nd fiddle to anyone and his version is 99% as great as the Righteous Brothers Version.

He just did a bunch of dancing and moving around ...... As he just did like four fast songs in a roll ..... Called a trilogy ...... That is way you can hear him breathing in to the mic ..... But don't worry beautiful ...... He is just catching his breath....... Remember ....... Never bet against Elvis ...... You will lose ever time ...... Just sayin ...... No Brag ...... Just Fact .....

Elvis was a very sick man when he did this concert, just 8 weeks before he died. He had serious lung issues, & that is why he’s short of breath, but he somehow managed to deliver that spellbinding performance. He never wanted to disappoint his fans, even when he was just a few weeks away from death. This is an amazing performance from a man who was in such bad shape health wise, with so many serious health issues. But he nailed it.
