  • Today We are installing Iron Rock A Arm on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Total took about an hour with the hardest part being taking off the old control arm. Super Easy install I believe anyone can do unless your jeep is Rusted out. Goodluck haha.

    The three ball joint bolts are tight from factory Loctite. Remember to blue loctite when reassembling

    To help with a rusty bolt or nut, use PB Blaster spray. Works a hell of a lot quicker than WD40.

    • @NajarOffroad
      @NajarOffroad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My bolts aren’t rusty but they have a bunch of dirt inside the threads so it’s crunchy all the way out 😂

    That ball joint movent is for drifting. Should actually be alot looser if you want max rush ability.

  • @tysonvance
    @tysonvance 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You can drop the rear axle enough to take the ball joint nut off first allowing you to use an impact or socket wrench on the 3 y link nuts

    • @NajarOffroad

      Good to know the ballpoint one is sometimes a pain to remove to though I’m glad I don’t have to deal with that anymore 😂

    Always remember if you have a “fastenall” in the area,you can get any bolt or fasteners there.

    Just ordered this from Iron Rock. I hope I can get it installed pain free 😂. My WJ is actually the exact same color as yours lol. I just rebuilt the front end basically. Adjustable track bar, steering damper, tie rods, drag link, sway bar end links... got shocks coming tomorrow. Just need to get adjustable control arms for the front after I do the rear a arm. I hope I can get rid of this sway 🙏.

    Just ordered the A-Arm from IRO but with my 4" BDS lift kit, it came with a spacer for the OEM A-arm. Do I need to keep the spacer when adding the IRO A-Arm?

    The iron rock one is heavy and hard to do by yourself.

    What would work best to reduce sway? This triangle or the 4 link long arm kit

    • @NajarOffroad
      @NajarOffroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have experience with the rear long arms so I’m not sure there but changed out the rear if you have worn bushing would definitely help with sway

  • @travisscottmedina

    Great video man!! I’m trying to decide whether to go with this Iron rock kit, or the rusty’s kit. Any thoughts on the two?

    • @NajarOffroad
      @NajarOffroad  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have experience with rustys long arms but the benefit of Iron rock is that it is Bolt on! So I don’t have much welding experience which is why I went iro

    • @travisscottmedina
      @travisscottmedina 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NajarOffroad sweet, yeah Rustys has almost the exact same kit as this that is a bolt on rear upper but it’s almost $250 more. Sounds like you had great success and I’m looking for something easy and that has Heim joints and this should work!
