This was one of my favorite conversations ever on the show. They’ve all changed so much over the years and a lot of it was talked about during this girl chat. Tamar was forced to slow down when she got sick during DWTS, Tamera started accepting herself as an individual and really believing she was enough, Loni became more vulnerable and open about things that have happened in her life and how they’ve affected her (and admitted she wasn’t always okay when she said she was), Jeannie completely transformed into someone who is unapologetically herself and was able to find true love, and Adrienne found herself and someone to love her fully and encourage her to pursue her dreams no matter what other people might think. This show got me through my college years and early 20s and it’s conversations like this that gave me a new perspective.

I hate the fact that Jeannie thought she wasn’t “cool” or that she didn’t bring anything to the table (so to speak) because to me she was the coolest one, I loved her stories and I literally watched this show in the beginning just to get her insight and listen to her stories. But it goes to show how we perceive ourselves and are our biggest critics! I love this woman seriously!!! Glad she’s found happiness in her life again. ❤️

I’m so happy Loni opened up more in later seasons. It broke my heart when Jeannie asked her if she hasn’t been okay recently and she said no. Everyone struggles! Jeannie’s part also made me cry! 🥲 I’m gonna miss this show so much.

Tamar might be straight talking and what not but you can tell she has a genuine sensitive heart.
This is my favourite episode. It was really nice to see Tamar be nice towards Jeannie and Adrienne in that girl chat segment. Under all of Tamar's attitudes, attacks and shadiness, that woman has soft spot and a heart of gold and really gives very helpful advice.

Yeah she said that but the second Jeannie opened up her mouth she shot her comments quick outta the sky so yeah not really a safe place until Tamar left honestly

I think knowing about Jeannie’s trauma and what it was like growing up for her I can get why she was was closed off. And I’m so happy after almost 10 years later they still have a sisterhood.
Yeah after hearing her open up a lot more throughout the years it makes sense why it seemed she was more connected! You can tell she loved and admired the ladies but as a business perspective… she was done wrong before in a space in television when working with another woman before so I’m sure she’s skeptical of opening up and trying to build relationships with women… especially when the most important one with her mom was sour for 8 years! So it all makes sense

Wow I cried at this. Tamar was so good with Jeanie 🤗💕 I think she usually teases her but genuinely cares
I noticed that after she expressed the different bonds she realized that it was like a light switch went off… it can reassure the feeling of how most young girls feel in high school and no one should feel that way as an adult! Acceptance and people pleasing especially when people like Jeannie fight so hard to be cheerful and to be liked it can hurt a bit when people don’t like u for no reason or question ur integrity or being

Adrienne’s story and reasoning SHOCKED me back then because this woman has one of the best voices in the music industry EVER and if you grew up with the Cheetah Girls you wished you could hit her high notes. Glad she got over it today.

Adrienne, when she says she doesn't like the sound of her own voice, that literally broke my heart because I always loved her voice. I grew up on both 3LW and the Cheetah Girls and I always thought her voice was so unique and interesting and she can hit those notes!
This was the best Girl Chat.
I just LOVED how TT was so quiet and just took her time and Listened to each story and gave her advices and opinions.
I think this was one of my favorite Episodes period🥺🥺absolutely beautiful
I don’t think they all the way understood where Jeannie was coming from… she needed a hug. They genuinely always left her out

Facts
What I loved about this show was how different every single host was yet they truly became close friends.
That’s what life is about. It don’t matter what people look like, how much money they have, the career they got, the family or where they come from. You can find a true friend in the most random people.
That’s what I take from the real, being open to meet people, get rid of prejudices and stereotypes. Find the beauty in everyone.

Now, I have watched this segment before, but today, it really hit me differently. I cried especially at Jeannie's response but honestly could see a bit of myself in all of them. It's so good to have "REAL" conversations with people and share your truth and vulnerabilities but to also get genuine feedback and support as well as a different perspective than your own. This was worth the replay.
Definitely worth the replay. It also hit me deeper today. I feel like that’s life… as you learn and grow, life gets deeper. It’s great to see how all of them conquered the insecurities they spoke about 👏🏽👏🏽

This girl chat makes me cry every time. So authentic and relatable! I’m glad The Real was on during most of my 20s. And I got to be on there virtually one time. Completely life changing for the ladies and fans like me 🙌🏽🙌🏽
I almost cried on Loni's, Tamar's, and Jeannie's note because they try to be strong all the time and positive and barely show their emotions, but they needed someone to say an encouraging kind word to them. The strong silent ones go through more than anyone, but they hide it. Sometimes one kind person can make you feel good an entire day. All the women on this show are beautiful but you can tell they been through so much and no one stopped to think about them. So, I was glad they had each other's backs on this show.🥺😢❤❤❤
By far one of the best segments they ever had. REAL and HEARTFELT. I wanna do this with my friends.
I don't know you guys. I did not like what they said about Jeannie. Only because they made it seem like she is always putting on a front or being "fake". Over the years we have gotten to know her better and she really is like that! She really just enjoys life. In my eyes Jeannie is the coolest. The way other people talk about her character with such admiration is really telling of her.

They specifically said they didn’t think she was being “fake,” but that she was more “PC” around them than they felt she should be. I think they more meant that she was overly careful about saying the wrong thing or someone taking something a certain way than just being blunt and upfront like friends are. She was treating their friendships outside of work like work when they weren’t so their energies and openness didn’t match.
@@amandatracey3287 I think that’s where trauma and things come in… cuz when you have a journey that u feel some people wouldn’t understand you feel the need to oversell the version of yourself NOW and to be overly confident and not focus on the past! So I could see how not wanting to talk about trigger points could cause someone to be cautious cuz believe or not, there are people that bring up vulnerable things you’ve shared and use it out of spite to throw it back in ur face
This was the episode that made me fall in love with *The Real* - I liked watching it before and though it was cool and funny and relatable. But this made me LOVE each host and relate to all of them.
Tamar is being genuinely supportive of Jeannie which is what many ppl kept saying she wasn't. I believe Tamar and Jeannie had a relationship that some ppl didn't understand. They felt Tamar was bullying when both of them were just being real with one another and that was cool to me.
They probably weren't super close but they did have some kind of a relationship...Tamar even said Jeannie spoke up for her behind the scenes when she was fired.
I’m sorry I was all in with girl chat until Tamar fixed her mouth to tell Jeannie “we are not judging you & this is a safe place” when she was the ring leader always shutting down Jeannie & telling her to have several seats! ARE YOU SURE???

Girl, sit down. This is the most beautiful moment between two people, and it was probably the last. Why people always crap on people who are known for being a certain way but try to change for a moment is beyond me.

So refreshing to see Tamar being pleasant to Jeannie. Even before Jeannie spoke her facial expression showed hurt and disappointment as she wasnt her usual self. Good to see our lovely Jeannie being supported by Tamar when she seemed to need it the most🥰
This show changed my life. Thank you all for being with me. I know the show has been cancelled but this show is the only way to get me going all the time.
It's so crazy how they knew how to hit the insecure spots for eachother they knew eachother so well, such a beautiful friendship.

The originals....I loved this show when it was just these five women. The Girl Talk was so authentic and heartfelt. I couldn't stop shedding tears.
Another great episode Tamar was a very hard worker at the time and every one missed her

Best show ever! It touched me deeply as many women. We had the chance to widen our horizons and discover hidden features of our personality. It pushed me to know who I really am, what do I really need, and how to choose what I need. Girls you are amazing and I feel so sorry that the show was cancelled. Please try to make another one similar in the future, we really need that as women from all communities!
I really feel the devil tells us terrible things about ourselves because he knows that God wants to use our gifts for His glory. Adrienne's voice is truly anointed. I cry hearing her sing. It's like the devil is stopping her so God can't be glorified. It's actually crazy, because her voice is so beautiful - youtube, Coritos de Corazon.... chills! I don't speak spanish and so I can't understand lyrics but I always ball my eyes out when Adrienne sings her part "respitoo" like girl I'm done. Ah She's gorgeous.

Also I completely get what Jeannie was saying, I see it during girl chat. She could never really relate to the other girls, that's why she would ask so many, sometimes weird, questions. And when she does puts in her 2 cents it usually gets shut down. And as a result she never really stood out to me, the other girls have a main thing that they play on that makes them stand out
Like the only thing that she could’ve really had at that time was that she was the longest married…but she’s evolved so much since then as a human being and opened up more that it allowed all of their interpersonal relationships to blossom

Experience Jeannie’s situation since birth, as long as I can remember. At 41 I still go through that I’m like her and Tamara. It’s like anybody that has positive energy or not over excessively loud it’s like you’re not being yourself and they always tell you to be yourself and then when you be yourself they make fun of it when you are being yourself and then they wonder why people try to be something that they’re not us because we feel that being ourselves as a joke.
This was beautiful🥺🤧 best tv show for me.

I miss this show so much! I disagree when it comes to Jeannie’s part tho. I’m the same way, I stay motivated and positieve it does not mean that I don’t struggle in life or that my life is perfect. It does put you in a very uncomfortable situation because people get irritated and judge you without actually knowing you. It’s also a cultural thing btw.

Loni, is telling the Truth about that bc, I'm in my late 30s an embracing who I truely am, I was discovering myself in my 20s, an I'm not dreading my 40s, learning to love yourself, at every age an size as well is key, your Self Awareness, is very important, now getting over traumatic past experiences, letting yourself heal, an not be hard on yourself, know it's part of the growth process, you grow an learn an get wiser in aging. ❤ The woman you are, an how the Lord made you!

In the part where they told Jeannie they wanted her words to be from the heart and not the insert gesture to the desk. It felt like that was a moment they were 5 all alone, no crowd, no cameras, no nothing. I like that little selfish energy, it lets me know and partake and enjoy something that was really REAL.

Eventhough tamar didnt like jeannie and even was mean to her sometimes, tamar was really honest and helpful to her on this day and it even seemed like she did like jeannie

It’s crazy how people took EVERYTHING Tamar would say so literal and would create her to be this “villain” or “bully” towards the other ladies. She clearly loved them, even if she teased them or if they had a difference of opinions.
Wow! Tamar explanation to Jeanie was Crazy cuz J she was her self period!!! it was Tamar that was a bully and all the other girls were scared of Tamar and were influenced by her to not like Jeanie. J was the only one from day 1 to the end that was her self. Look now all tamar personal problems. She was super insecure and hated Jeanie’s light.

I don't think they went in on her. I think she didn't understand what they meant at first so they had to explain it to her.
It hurt her but it was clearly not their attention. They had to give more explanation, not to « go in on her », but because they realized she didn’t understand what they meant.
At the end she admitted they were right.
