A small tip for those who are trying it for the first time, you can easily forget to take it out during the end or less flow, so put a timer for 10/12 hours so that that you can take it out, wash it and reuse it after every 10-12 hours... also I would recommend buy two of them just that when you use one and its time to replace it, you can have enough time to sterilize it... also it would be great to invest in a good ph maintaining soap solution made specially for the intimate area to wash the cup with so its ph balance is maintained and you don't get infection of some sort and also you might feel a little uncomfortable or a tiny bit of pain in the first few uses because it would be new to you so don't worry! The pain is really less and almost non existent and don't be afraid of it... it won't go deeper to the point that you won't be able to take it out and its really good and comfortable once you get used to it so do give it a try and you'll love it and it'll make your life much more easier... plus it doesn't leak even a bit at night so that problem is solved too!
@@arshdeepkaur3832 yep its super easy! When it gets full, it automatically comes down from the tail so you just have to pull it out while pinching it because it has minute holes for suction so pinch ig a little and pull it out and also if its leaking, that means either its too full or you didn't put it correctly so take it out and place it again!
When I first tried using a menstrual cup, it was very hard. I had never worn a tampon before so it was extra intimidating. It took me a few days of trying and then I finally got it! Now I have been using it for many months and it's effortless. I really like being able to sleep comfortably while wearing it and I agree that it doesn't have the odor issue of pads.
I just bought a menstrual cup yestarday and tried many times to get it in but its just not going well very hard and gives a lot of pain ...can you guide with some tips for better insertion
@@ishamehta536 I recommend using the punch down fold. It makes the diameter of the cup much smaller and easier to insert. Also make sure that you're relaxed when inserting.
@@ishamehta536 that's tough I couldn't figure that out for a long time as well, I usually wiggle and turn it a little or try again if it doesn't open and after a few months I kind of know how it needs to sit to not leak (I know where my cervix is now) so idk if this helps since it's seven months later but just keep using it and maybe still wear pads until you know it well enough

@@Jaaadziiiaaa It shouldn't be painful. If there is significant pain when pulling it out, either the cup is too big or there is a pressure vacuum that needs to be released first.
I already know with my heavy periods (like soaking through clothes and filling shoes heavy) cups or discs would *never* work for me lol, I'd flood those things within an hour or less.
I've been using a menstrual cup for almost three years now and I'll never go back to a tampon. I don't feel uncomfortable anymore during my period and I actually almost always forget I even am on my period cause I don't feel anything of the cup. I do understand that it's quite tricky at the beginning to use. I recommend trying it out when you're home for like the weekend. Just try it out, have no fear. And be patient. Some people won't get it in properly the first time or the first cycle. It's kinda a learning curve. But I do recommend! Just educate yourself before trying it out and it'll al be fine :) My favorite thing about the cup is not feeling like I'm sitting in my own blood (which I did have with pads). So if you hate that, I'd recommend the switch.

I'm glad to say that I helped my Girlfriend Insert her very first Tampon and Menstrual Cup . She was very worried about the fitting so I made her wear Menstrual Cup for an entire day prior to her periods so she would get use to Menstrual Cups and then when she was on her period she was very worried about the leaks so I made her wear a Pad after wearing Menstrual cup ( Only for the first day of her period ) .... And after that she was very Comfortable and Confident in wearing Menstrual cups only . The Menstrual Cup which I bought for her was same as Nicole's ( Different Company / Same Shape ) and even I boiled the cup before my girlfriend used it for the first time but I won't recommend boiling cups after every use because it's will degrade the silicon . And I would recommend everyone to use Menstrual Cups because they are not messy and very easy to use and I'm glad that I forced my girlfriend to atleast try Menstrual Cups because it made her life very easy which Indirectly keeps me Happy
I’d start with a tampon, and using it when your flow is heavy. Tampons are dry, and so is the vaginal opening when the flow is light, so it can hurt then. Heavy blood flow acts sort of like a lubricant so it’s easier to insert.
As a cup user when you use it for first time , inserting and removing will be a little painful.. Using it for 2 to 3 cycles makes this comfortable ...and will never use those disgusting pads ever..🙂
tip from an experienced menstrual cup user: when you put it in the first time do it in the shower so that you aren't afraid of making a mess and you can find a comfortable position :) also don't squeeze out excess air after insertion because this might create a painful suction which is harder to remove
