ancient India used to have lot of excellent architectures better than this one. during Islamic rule in India especially in Mughal period about 47000 temples and several other structures were destroyed. others were demolished by the European rulers. that's why India hardly has any ancient structures left in North India. however there are quite a lot of them in South India especially states of Karnataka and Tamilnadu.

India used have a host of excellent Buddhist architecture that was demolished by the tyrant hïndu rulers who constructed temples over them. India would have had a great buddhist architecture if the arrogance and fear of those rulers had not dominated. But it was later corrected by the acumen of the mughals who introduced variety into Indian architecture.

@@Feynman_Fries ..........Seriously!!!! I am listening to these claims from many years. But without any proof. Can you tell me which ancient Buddhist text say this...The Hindu rulers and empire like Gupta and Mauryan gave proper support to the Buddhist. Nalanda University made by Guptas had huge no. of Buddhist scholars and students.
Guptas gave place for Buddhist Shrines. Another University-Vikram-Shilla too had big no. of Buddhist.
Buddhism thrived under most of the Hindu ruler, some exception may exist. Harsha another major Hindu ruler build monasteries at the places visited by Gautam Buddha. Chinese Buddhist traveler Xuan-Zang praised him and wrote that the king used to give immense respect to all the religions. Similarly, thing was written by Fa-Hien for Chandragupta ii.
'Accumen of Mughals" like killing about 3000s of people (mostly peasants) after Battle of Mewar- Written in Akbar-Naama or Execution of Guru Tegh Bahadur (prominent Sikh figure) during Aurangzeb reign or JAZIA TAX- convert to Islam or pay tax. These 2 are the most prominent rulers from Mughal Empire. Not saying that all Hindu rulers were good but the major Hindu rulers were much better than this.

I just went to the Taj Mahal this morning! I got up ridiculously early, 4am - often that's my bed time with my job! But it was worth it to have it almost to myself for half an hour after going in just before 5am, it was magical! I'd recommend it, even for night owls like me. And the photos I got are incredible, everyone keeps asking how I got to go in there alone 😂
Photos and videos don't do this place justice, not even close. It blew my mind. Incredible. Awesome. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates beauty

Josie, you have a very positive outlook towards everything. I like that. By the way. If they don’t understand your pronunciation of water, just say paani chahiya. Paani as in Paani puri. Paani = water.

Best chai I ever had was at the Swagattam hotel/dhaba in Sanwala Haryana on the Grand Trunk Road, during a rest stop on the bus from Delhi to Kasol. Hands down best cup of tea I’ve ever had. ….the pink chai shop in Patnem village is a close second.
