The Soviets were try to grow cotton so the diverted the rivers that drained into the Aral Sea. Without the the rivers draining into it, the Sea dried up.
Day 169: Phly, you should play the Hawk III Chinese fighter; 900lbs of bombs in a biplane at 1.0 that you can dogfight in after dropping. Totally balanced.
Seriously. Its such a good idea, for choppers and scout planes to be able to spot tanks. I think to balance it they should make aircraft spots last for a smaller time. It could actually bring some use to some slower jet bombers like the B57 and IL28 or the arados after they dropped their bombs. The Arado B was originally designed as a untouchable reconnaisance/bomber, Where the C3 took on more of a multi fighter/bomber role but also for reconnaisance since it was also much faster.

The m230 should be accurate out to 1500m. With half the shells hitting the target at that range. Which is about 4 times more accurate than this abomination in game. At 700m rounds are hit 15-20m away.

Phly: a list of vehicles you should make a vifeo on: Ikv 72, awesome depression and real speedy. SU-85M, its real fun when people think youre the normal SU-85 with 45mm UFP but actually you have 75mm, and people just shoot without aiming and bounce and you can nail them. Valentine IX, if you get in a good spot this thing is a menace with the 6 pounder and an impenetrable turret. Hs129 B-2, this one is real good with the MK103 at 2.7, but is completely overlooked because of the one with the 75mm.
Challenge Request: German little and large challenge. Take out the Fw200C-1 in Tank RB and get three ground kills. Or if that isn't entertaining enough, take out the Ju87D-5 with the 7.92mm Gun Pods and get three combined air/ground kills with guns only. Have fun. Attempt 481.

Phly, even if you don't make a video on it, I think if you play exactly like this while using the hellfires and gun you would have had an even better time. Don't HAVE to sit in the back with them, you can be a low and fast flying tank busting masterpiece.

@PlyDaily when your ammo is burning you need to turn turret left or right so it doesn't catch your engine on fire. After ammo finishes burning you can point turret fwd again. Pro tip.

With ammo on fire you gotta turn your turret 90 degrees off youre engine otherwise it will damage crew and your engine and on top of that it has a chance to not go out at all.
Not a nerf if General Dynamics puts rather conveniently on their webpage the 30x113mm HEDP round can punch through 25.4mm of RHA at 500m and 50°. All in the product brochure, in case you're shopping around for an attack helicopter family truckster replacement.

It’s known as an AWS, Area Weapon System, gist of it is, HEDP isn’t too good if you’re stacking rounds right on top of each other, dispersion helps

PhlyDaily, you should try the AH-64D in DCS, its amazingly rewarding, such a beast of a gunship helo.

It's not that the M230 is inaccurate, it's that it was designed as an area suppression weapon system, hence the full name: M230 Area Weapon System.
Still the game exaggerates the inaccuracy. Should be about half again as accurate as it is.

If you press Y then press 5 and then press 6 you can enable "Manual roll control mode" makes flying a lot easier in my opinion

Hey I just unlocked this chopper! I actually really like it. the missiles are pretty slow, but they tend to kill easy.
At this point, just bring the hydras.
It's a lot of fun with the assist of the computer aiming.
