How the fuck has it taken so long to get to Japan? Literally the one place assassin creed makes the most sense
I think they want to try other places to be honest I was really Japan is not really up late because a bit too generic and/or maybe they're not interested until Ghost of Tsushima and sekiro happy doing for critically and financially well even winning a couple of awards convince them to basically goes to Japan

If this game will release in 2025 instead of any earlier years, i think we can expect sum high quality game. I wouldnt even mind a couple delays if they think they arent ready for release yet. But if they decide to rush it then i'll be scared of what kind of game i will be getting...
they really waited to drop this until most original fans lost interest in the series because of its lack of focus on the stealth elements in recent games. call me crazy but i want to be a sneaky assassin and not a viking, pirate or whatever. those games are good but they're terrible assassin games. ghost of tsushima filled the stealth niche AC left behind.
ngl its kind of hard to be excited about this because im so salty about asking for this for 10 years since the Ezio saga ended and them dropping it only after i stopped following the games. I feel like a bitter ex girlfriend.

Must be hard to remove all the depth and functionality that was in the original ac's
What they normally do is copy and paste for around 3 games while working on "the next big thing". AC1-revelations was generation 1. AC3-rogue was gen 2, and AC unity and syndicate was gen 3 with the latest trilogy being gen 4. Hoping these next iterations evolve for a 5th generation assassin's creed games but from what I hear they are sticking with the latest RPG valhalla style which is somewhat disappointing.

I hope the setting takes place in the Meiji era with shinsengumi or with oda nobunaga warring against sohei monks.
Hopefully it takes time because they try to do something new and quality. And I hope it will be with ninjas and not samurais or st least with an option to choose.

@@Torch73269this is just, not true. Mostly. Ninja is a job, an occupation, samurai is a social class. There were plenty of samurai who were shinobi, but there were also many shinobi from outside the samurai class.
Given its still not samurai vs ninja, ninja weren’t a type or offshoot of samurai.

Finally an assassin's Creed game with no microtransactions!
I'm a Japanese and I like the game series, because buildings are very beautiful. But in this PV, "ぽりごん亭" 0:23 is too cute and modern shop name. I prefer "幾角屋" or something to match jidaigeki atmosphere. Mountain forts do not usually have tenshu like 0:21. The tower 0:35 looks Chinese because of its bright color and turned roof edges. I hope they get fixed before release.

Exactly dude i used to be so excited searching shit up shit like "assassins creed japanese game leaked" "AC japan game theme concept" on google back when i was 11 playing AC brotherhood literally so hyped waiting...im almost 22 now and have stopped playing ac after AC3 cannot care anymore nothings been the same since.

I was hoping it was the Ghost of Tsushima sequel since I didn't look at the video title. Oh well. Back to waiting for news of a good game.
Be interesting to see if Ubisoft can fuck up Ninjas as badly as they fucked up Vikings and the Norse though!
I know its a 9 day old comment and i'm late to watching the trailer, but as of today from what i saw is that the AC Red devs is also being developed with Ubisoft Japan and local consultants in the interest of cultural authenticity and sensitivity.
With that said im hoping they dont mess this up either been waiting for something in japan.
Ok you do realize Ubisoft’s mistake was even making a game with Vikings to begin with. Like c’mon, did you really think an AC game about Vikings would’ve really work? Nah, it had nothing to do with with Ubisoft fucking up Vikings, it was doomed from the concept alone. Ninjas on the other hand, are a completely different story
Assassins Creed set in Japan is much more appropriate if it had Ninjas, because the Shinobi are meant to be stealthy. Yet we have Vikings that were meant to attack in brute force >.>

Finally made it to Japan but it has the RPG formula. I’m going to wait until I see more to pass judgement but Valhalla left a really bad taste.
I hope there’s gonna be a female character option :(( odyssey and Valhalla made playing so much more enjoyable for me

They will. The game will be super woke, it’s Ubisoft quebec, the wokest of the 3 teams. They have a 2 protagonist and the male character is said to be an African samurai. Japan is known and has been known to be very racist. So if this samurai is accepted as a samurai by the ancient Japan people the game will not feel immersive at all kind of how Ac Vikings didn’t feel like a true Viking experience
@@liamflan9553 Yasuke was a low ranking samurai whose rank was given by Nobunaga, as he wanted a display piece. He didn't earn that status through merit, merely novelty. Let Ubisoft make of that what they will. Also, a black fella in a predominantly asian community... yea that won't stand out at ALL 🤔

Can't wait to see how much of a garbage it will be when you try to assassinate a guard but wait he is 3 levels above you, so no instant kill meaning fuck your stealth run.
RPG and Assassination gameplay will never mix well. Just go back at RPG discount God of War: Valhalla and stop trying to milk this franchise to death.

Ghost of Tsushima is a TERRIBLE game.
Sure it has pretty visuals but who cares about visuals, its gameplay that matters.
The combat is a clunky mess and the gameplay is just a worse version of batman arkham gameplay and open world is a cut and paste ubisoft open world.
Story is asinine and trying to pull at hearts strings that are not there.
I feel bad for anyone who thinks that game is good.
