@@atrocious7766 You're absolutely correct in that regards. But I'm hoping they can make parkour to be more engaging, not just press W then you're on top of building.
Exactly my thinking, I still remember climbing the Campanile of Florence in AC 2 and doing all the assassin tombs since they had good level design for parkour. Since Unity and we could say AC3, I feel like the system has been dumbed down to "press A and move the joystick to get up top". All in all, it makes for a very dull experience and a tedious task to climb observation points whereas they could be fun little puzzles on their own, a shame for a game where parkour mechanics should be at its core.
Origins just seems to have more love and care out into it. I wish Mirage maybe had another year to develop to improve parkour, flesh out the story, and just add more ambience in the city.

thats because origins was a next step up in AC series, after a long time. Then ever since that happend its copy paste action. Tho, that happend in the past as well. They always make bigger changes in gameplay/engine and then use it for like 2-3 games. With mirage that was expect, its sad tho that they cant even keep the standard of detail that is in origins. Despite being much smaller.
Origins had a much bigger budget than Mirage. Origins was a soft reboot for the series and everything that came out since then has been based on that game. Mirage is only a slight upgrade in terms of visuals.
I like mirage because you are a assassin! You are not at supersoldier. (Ignore the teleport skill) but it is more challenging. You have to look for cracks or ledges to climb. Cqc is hard because you are about to assassinate people. Lure them, distract, hide etc. Sure you can fight one on one. My first assassin’s creed game was Origins & man I love it I’m actually playing it RN, it’s just a masterpiece honestly they made it with love. I actually felt lived in that time while playing the game. 🎮😃
AC Origins is a masterpiece indeed. No other AC game feels quite like it. Odyssey, Valhalla and Mirage are great games with deep gameplay mechanics but none captures the heart as Origins. ❤
Longtime AC fan here been playing since AC1, and Origins is in my top 3 for sure. It's just a real treat as a fan of open world games, and as a fan of the assassin creed lore. It balances having to be a fresh take on the franchise while staying faithful very nicely in my opinion. If you're curious about my other two picks, AC 2 and Black Flag
they are totally different games even though it doesnt seem like it. Totally different game design and mechanics. I enjoyed both for what they are. Origins was a refreshment the series needed and they implemented the RPG formula quite well imo. Mirage is returning back to its roots somewhat and it also did so very nicely.
@@CIGOMOR Origins at least isn't bloated with RPG elements like Odyssey and Valhalla and it had a good balance. And oh, you're an actual Assassin (Hidden One at that time) in Origins, unlike in other two lmao.

Imagine the world where Bayek got an Ezio trilogy and the direct sequel after those three games was Mirage. Then Odyssey could have been an RPG spin off to let those games cook and Valhalla could have just never existed (or been another spin off that was actually made well).
I always said that origins was way out of it's own league, however I do love what they did in Mirage with the little faith everybody including Ubisoft most likely had in them.
Mirage is a lower budget title and it's aim was to go back to the roots with the gameplay and it's simply that. Now if there's enough interest in Mirage, they could still make a new one with the classic style with a much higher budget.
Origins is just so unique. I started playing it last month and only finished the prologue so far. It’s obvious how quickly Ubisoft got greedy after it’s success. They released two half baked games right after and now this one.
It's clear that Origin got a lot of love. The reality is. Origin's story, Bayek as a character is what made it as good as it was. It's RPG element and Freerun stealth wasn't the peak but it was just right for the environment of the game. True stealth lived and died with AC Unity. I'm absolutely shocked that in 2023, they still call the half-baked mechanics in the new games "free running" All I hope for now is an ORIGIN type game with Unity physics. But we all know AC as a franchise is dead. It's only alive because their investors want to milk is as much as they can> There is no passion left for it.
Does Mirage even have actual Mirages? Riding out in the desert with your steed in Origins and seeing silhouettes disappearing with the wind and fabrics flying through the air made the game even better for me.
I've been playing since Assassin's Creed 1 and when Origins came out it cemented itself in my top 3 AC games. It feels like a fresh take on the formula while also having an authentically Assassin's Creed story and protagonist. It's a very interesting hybrid, and has easily one of the best settings and music from any of the games. Seriously, Sarah Schachner cooked with that soundtrack. The game just feels like it has passion put into it
My boy Bayek deserves that trilogy treatment, im tired of having a new assassin each game, why does Ezio only deserve a trilogy? In my opinion Ubisoft need to give us a new trilogy
Still AC Origins tops the list......the overall details is just feel very realistic..... better tham AC Odessey amd AC Valhalla.... though odessey and valhalla have more game size but that realistic feel is not there!....and again AC origins becomes the winner by comparison with AC Mirage! AC Origins just a fantastic game. A vast open world, and the best part is the free roam and exploring ancient egypt. This felt just fantastically realistic. The details are awesome!!!!....The side quests and storyline are just amazing!!!!......In my ps5 , just playing AC Mirage. Now I am downloading AC Origins again!!
I've played all of these games. By far Origins is my fav. Followed extremely close by Black Flag. I think AC 3 has the best hunting, as you can make traps and lure animals n what not. Mirage sadly I'm still in the process of playing, it's alright, but I'm really not a fan of the smaller game size maps. Origins, Black Flag, Odyssey, and Valhalla are great for me size wise.
One of my favourite things in the Bird Bearers games is when the charachter talks at his/her flying pal. It melts my heart everytime. I haven't played Mirage, but I hope that during the story Basim has some time to talk to his eagle Enkidu
Immersive lmfao how is climbing up almost everything in origins immersive people shouldn't be able to climb everything like Spiderman that's so unrealistic
A lot of people are missing the point of Mirage. It was never meant to be as large and detailed as something like Origins, it was meant to be a throwback style game that calls back to the earlier titles in the AC series. It is meant to be a one city-based game just like Brotherhood, Revelations, Unity, and Syndicate were, and Baghdad does a good job of feeling similar to something like Rome in Brotherhood or Constantinople, imo. Mirage obviously does not have all of the small details that Origins has, but that is totally acceptable for what it is trying to be. Of course you’re not seeing the latest and greatest rendition of a modern AC game; that is not what Mirage is meant or even trying to be. If you like the old school Ezio style games, Mirage is a fun time. Not the most detailed AC game in the world, but that does not make it a bad AC game. I have had a ton of fun playing that throwback style and really don’t have a whole lot to complain about with Mirage. I had my expectations set accordingly beforehand. It’s just a good old fashioned fun AC time, and I am totally cool with that. In fact, I would love to see this UBI studio make more smaller classic style AC games just like Mirage. Just don’t make it into something that it isn’t trying to be in order to disparage the game. Give it it’s due.
I appreciate what they did in mirage bringing us back to AC I. The game is intricate yet simple enough where you don't have a crap ton of OP things to make Basim seem immortal (minus the teleport assassinations 🙃). One hidden blade, no bow, the tools are simple yet effective, and most importantly, the map isn't massive like valhalla was. They did a good job on this one. Sometimes less is more.
The map is not as big but it's way better with more buildings, more objects laying around and 5-fold more densely populated..Also, transversing big maps feels boring long term.
I just wish they would have added features and content into Mirage that they had in previous games already and im not talking about the "rpg" games im talking about the old old games they had more to do even Mirage feels (ambience wise and the city as a city, but not as a game and interaction wise, the city is just *there* with nothing really to do) great and it goes back to the roots more which I love it for....but it is a shallow husk of what it could have been and it feels *empty*
You should also add the difference in production time for these games. Unlike Origins, which started production after Black Flag under Ashraf Ismael, AC Mirage only took 2 years of production and that too with a smaller team and financial budget. Kudos to the Mirage team for pulling off a masterpiece in such constraints.
Mirage is actually a dlc repackaged as a full game. Origins was a fully cared for revamp of the game. I believe Mirage is a test to see if there is a market of old style AC.
i haven't played Mirage but I wish its objectively compared with such a masterpiece. And I Don't care what you ''I don't like the new Rpged AC's'' people say, Origins is a fucking work of art. The story, combat and protagonist are peak in this game. Although I don't think games should be compared this way. Unless we want to certainly compare graphics, details and mechanics. The point is on the story, the stealth mechanism, combat, protagonist and world design are what matters. From what I've understood stealth is way better and world design is slightly better. Protagonist combat and story are worse.(mid diff, high diff, mid-low diff)
One thing that I noticed after playing Valhalla and Odyssey is that unlike Origins when you randomly decide to swim anywhere a random npc with a boat won’t show up to randomly save you. Small detail but has helped me so much and made the gameplay more enjoyable
Man I really need to go back and replay origins. I got about halfway through, loved it, but got pulled away. Loved the refreshing start for the franchise and the Egypt setting.
Origins was a love letter, youc an tell the devs put a lot of love in that game. there so many little things that you can notice, those tiny attention to detail really add up to make something special. Its also crazy how both games have pretty much identical graphics yet origins is much older. Origins is one of the best AC games for sure. It's pretty sad its gone downhill so much from there, even if mirage improves some things its still a pretty poor effort to the great movie like quality of story and directing of the older games.
Love the story of Origins, but Mirage has the better gameplay hands down of anything from the Ancients Trilogy, with Odyssey being the worst of the three.
Mirage it's pretty good from what I've seen, surely has its problems like any other AC game but I can feel that the series is going again in the right direction
Something really special about the last 3 games, all the loot, the grind, the storeys, the characters, weapons and mystical myths and legends, especially my favourite AC Odyssey. An AC set in 15th century British Witch trials era would be awesome, I'm sure we were teased with something like that not long ago.
i personally loved origin and i spent so many hours to level up. best part is that i dont regret it and after becoming master in it, I felt really good. i was in love with the graphics and details. Now days i thing we're going backward in sense of game devolving. Feels like we're not making the game more realistic but being very lazy putting some efforts in little details. It's evolution in backwards
The problem with the last Assassin's Creed games is that you feel like you are playing just another Dark Souls game and not an actual AC game, they should keep AC unity parkour and made an story like AC 2 instead of copying dark souls formula like everyone else.
Agreed, I literally don’t care… I care much more than we are back to being an Assassin and you can hidden blade kill anyone without the ridiculous RPG enemy leveling… Being a beefy guy with an axe doesn’t make you invincible to being stabbed in the throat, or stop me putting a knife between the gaps in your armour
AC origin was the best movement AC series ever made. It was flawed gracefully, giving hope for the future titles, just to knew AC is a household name, and anything put on this title got the support. We need totally new setup. WW2 rift in AC Syndicate was surprisingly excellent. Maybe developers can go into that direction.
the sand physics/world are better in origins which is sad. But I think the issue is Origins is what we imagined the world to be. Everything is more vivid and exaggerated due to our imagination filling in blanks. While Mirage is what it actually was or is. Which is why it may seem more diluted. That said I watched a video where they said they believe mirage was supposed to be dlc for Valhalla which makes sense. Especially watching this and all the reviews.
I’ve been playing AC Mirage for a while and what a step backwards in terms of the finer details. Also the parkour feels like it doesn’t flow at times. AC Origins was a masterpiece and Bayek has to be my favourite protagonist. The setting, story was just amazing. I love the Baghdad setting in Mirage but the game is missing so much from previous titles. 😪
World design undoubtedly would be better in Origins Though Mirage is a smaller map and we should expect a well detailed map with good textures but the world in Origins do have some variety Don't u think if they cut the map size they should have worked on more details which were there in Origins but was lacking in Mirage??
It's the only AC I've played since the first, but I'm having a great time with it. It's like an RPG-light without the ridiculous cut scenes that are so common these days.
To be fair Mirage has been out for 1 day, and Origins has been out for 5 years. There's still a lot of development and tweaks to be done to Mirage, Origins has already done that
Years later we will compare AC Mirage, with a couple of patches, vs the next AC game and start saying how good Mirage is. There are some games that weren't good at launch but became better after updates. Mirage has potential.

Agreed
Origins just seems to have more love and care out into it. I wish Mirage maybe had another year to develop to improve parkour, flesh out the story, and just add more ambience in the city.

Another thing is in AC Origins if you left a corpse on the Desert (animal predators or bandits or any any enemy NPC) a minute later Ravens will come and start munching on it. Also facial expression on NPC's specially during cutscenes look better compared to the successors

@@king_dot not really, it was calm first it's time but origins is better tbh
It has to be Origins. It's just fascinating that a game from 2017 can compete with a game from 2023 and can still win.
thats because origins was a next step up in AC series, after a long time. Then ever since that happend its copy paste action. Tho, that happend in the past as well. They always make bigger changes in gameplay/engine and then use it for like 2-3 games. With mirage that was expect, its sad tho that they cant even keep the standard of detail that is in origins. Despite being much smaller.
How is it fascinating? 2017 isn't far in the past. I can think of many older games that are better than most nowadays.
That’s pretty common nowadays bruv
There hasn't been that large of a technological gap within that timeframe.
Its more back to the roots in some ways and i like that they do that and i hope they continue on this road. I love origins. But this game made me appreciate the enviroments more and took time to soak in the game more. For me atleast.

If you're curious about my other two picks, AC 2 and Black Flag
it's bacause AC Origin is a Love letter 💗
Just started Origins from Start on my Playstation 5 - just so ahead of its time!
Origins above everything for me (and Odyssey in some cases). For me, Bayek is up there with Ezio and Edward Kenway
The lore on him helps alot. His story adds to making the game great
100% agree. Bayek will forever be my favourite, poor Ezio was dethroned~
they are totally different games even though it doesnt seem like it. Totally different game design and mechanics. I enjoyed both for what they are. Origins was a refreshment the series needed and they implemented the RPG formula quite well imo. Mirage is returning back to its roots somewhat and it also did so very nicely.
AC Origins still is my favorite AC game with my favorite protagonist, Mirage certainly did not changed that

Unity, Origins and Odyssey are my favorites... 3 locations in time that were each and all a dream to explore
Which AC game is good in recent years?
@@iHeymanthThey just said. Origins
It's clear that Origin got a lot of love.
The reality is.
Origin's story, Bayek as a character is what made it as good as it was.
It's RPG element and Freerun stealth wasn't the peak but it was just right for the environment of the game.
True stealth lived and died with AC Unity.
I'm absolutely shocked that in 2023, they still call the half-baked mechanics in the new games "free running"
All I hope for now is an ORIGIN type game with Unity physics.
But we all know AC as a franchise is dead.

Does Mirage even have actual Mirages? Riding out in the desert with your steed in Origins and seeing silhouettes disappearing with the wind and fabrics flying through the air made the game even better for me.

Origins have been one of the most immersive AC i’ve played. hands down the winner here.
Immersive lmfao how is climbing up almost everything in origins immersive people shouldn't be able to climb everything like Spiderman that's so unrealistic
Origins was a masterpiece! Wouldn’t waste my money on Mirage
Ashraf Ismail & his team's hard work definitely defined Origins.
I just wish they would have added features and content into Mirage that they had in previous games already and im not talking about the "rpg" games im talking about the old old games they had more to do even
Mirage feels (ambience wise and the city as a city, but not as a game and interaction wise, the city is just *there* with nothing really to do) great and it goes back to the roots more which I love it for....but it is a shallow husk of what it could have been and it feels *empty*
Since The Introduction Of The RPG Elements I Have To Say That Origins Was The Best Experience With That Particular System!
You should also add the difference in production time for these games. Unlike Origins, which started production after Black Flag under Ashraf Ismael, AC Mirage only took 2 years of production and that too with a smaller team and financial budget. Kudos to the Mirage team for pulling off a masterpiece in such constraints.

It's probably a test
i haven't played Mirage but I wish its objectively compared with such a masterpiece.
ORIGINS WAS THE BEST . Need more Bayek stories
One thing that I noticed after playing Valhalla and Odyssey is that unlike Origins when you randomly decide to swim anywhere a random npc with a boat won’t show up to randomly save you. Small detail but has helped me so much and made the gameplay more enjoyable
Ac origins is incredible and my personal fav ac game ever made
Mirage has no mirages, the game itself is a mirage in comparison.
I played Origins, it was a fun game, the details, dialogues, and combat are a worthy game
Up till this day, I honestly prefer AC Brotherhood over any other AC game.
For me Brotherhood was the ultimate Assassin's Creed experience ever made.
Yea ac brotherhood >> all ac
No disrespect mate but for me it was the opposite, Brotherhood just felt like 2 but worse, and the chain kills trivialized the combat.
