As an ex Christian my self we were brainwashed with the whole idea that God gives wealth and all good things to the one he loves, anything not desirable meant God is not happy with that person.
It took me a long time to get out of that mind set until I really understood how Allah truly works. It is really comforting once you detach yourself from the incorrect way of thinking about Allah. Alhumdullilah

This is why promoting celebrities when they revert and such should give caution before announcing it. Give them time (if Islam is truly what they want), to learn it, embrace it, and practice it with their whole heart.
Stumbling or struggling is to be expected. Yet at the same time, the intentions of certain types of "Celebrities " should be taken with a grain of salt, because not everyone who enters has sincere or good intentions. Oftentimes, they'll join just to mock it and/or because it serves a certain purpose at that moment for them.
It's truly a sad thing, but most who know his nature will be the first to warn Muslims about such folks. I'm not bashing anyone, yet at the same time, once a person shows you who they are more often than not it's their true nature. Please Brothers and Sisters be careful always.

I've noticed that every time someone asks Tate why he converted to Islam, he always talks about socioeconomic reasons and never once have I heard theological reasoning. He became Muslim because "Muslims defend their religion", "its a warriors religion" etc.... Never once heard him say things like 'Because a human cannot be God" or "the theology of Islam makes more sense".

I don’t agree with what Tate is doing but brothers and sisters, refrain from saying he became a kaffir, not even prophet of Allah had the right to call munafiq a disbeliever. As long as someone is saying La Ilaha Ila Lah, prophet said he is still muslim. God is the only One that can judge what is in Andrew’s heart.
A while after he became Muslim, he was on his way to church saying calling for the worship of the "Lord, Jesus Christ". If that doesn't make him kafir, then I'm not sure what can.

@@adz8709 I do not hold any bias about one of the religious beliefs, all 5,000 of them and the previous ten’s of thousands of religions that have been lost to time, are all in the same category, all of them were created at a time when knowledge was lacking, so humans filled in the gaps! Why are there no new religions after thousands popping up over the centuries? The last major religion created was Scientology, and that is mainly because we have progressed our understanding and education across the board. All religions are man made, and that is fine! Some of the more well know religions teach humanity, peace and being a better person, most don’t - it’s my way or you will burn or never reach the after life 😂, so people argue over who’s man made book and teachings are better, if you believe this you can’t believe that and then the message (peace love unity etc…) is lost, religion has become political - the two are not mutually compatible!
So no bias, just my logical reasoning and view on ALL religions, I know a lot about 15 religions, I went to a Seventh day Adventist school, a member of my family was Muslim, one was Buddhist, another Christian and I studied a wide spectrum of other religions. Yes that is my opinion and view, but it’s drawn from actual research across a wide range of religions, not just one.
So if religion helps someone be a better person, and contribute to the world - amazing! But mostly pious people spend their days justifying their views and marginalising “non-believers”, regardless of which man made religion they choose to believe.
And now in 2024, in the age of conspiracy and misinformation, religion has become a political choice - people are choosing it for the life style, power and opinions it holds, rather than - this is the route to god or a higher level of self!
And here we are in this situation with fools like Tate, who are actively dragging a religion into political rhetoric, simply for the fun of it!

*I knew from the jump he was not being authentic because if he truly cared about Islam, he would’ve taken accountability for the absolute horrible things he said about and did to women. Even before he became Muslim, I was horrified that so many Muslims were fanboying him. Then you wonder why there is division with women and men. Yes, some of it was western feminism that was to blame. But a huge part of it is that we see the men we are supposed to go to for safety, co-sign for “men” like Tate. Disgusting and terrifying.*

God said: ﴿ فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ ﴾.
And he, peace and blessings be upon him, said:إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَفِيقٌ يُحِبُّ الرِّفقَ، وَيُعْطِي على الرِّفق ما لا يُعطي عَلى العُنفِ، وَما لا يُعْطِي عَلى مَا سِوَاهُ رواه مسلم.
4/635- وعنها: أَنَّ النبيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: إِنَّ الرِّفقَ لا يَكُونُ في شيءٍ إِلَّا زَانَهُ، وَلا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ شَيءٍ إِلَّا شَانَهُ رواه مسلم.
5/636- وعن أبي هريرةَ قَالَ: بَال أَعْرَابيٌّ في المسجِد، فَقَامَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْه لِيَقَعُوا فِيهِ، فَقَالَ النبيُّ ﷺ: دَعُوهُ، وَأَرِيقُوا عَلى بَوْلِهِ سَجْلًا مِنْ مَاءٍ، أَوْ ذَنُوبًا مِن مَاءٍ، فَإِنَّما بُعِثْتُم مُيَسِّرِينَ ولَمْ تُبْعَثُوا مُعَسِّرِينَ رواه البخاري.
6/637- وعن أَنسٍ ، عن النبيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: يَسِّرُوا وَلا تُعَسِّروا، وَبَشِّرُوا وَلا تُنَفِّرُوا متفقٌ عَلَيْهِ.
7/638- وعن جرير بن عبداللَّه قالَ: سمعتُ رَسُولَ اللَّه ﷺ يقُولُ: مَنْ يُحْرَمِ الرِّفْقَ يُحْرمِ الخيْرَ كُلَّهُ رواه مسلم.

Common brother, you blew this out of proportion. Focus on Tate not others. I doubt there are many born and raised Muslims as famous as Tate who show one third of what Tate is showing to the whole world with all due respect.
It may not sound good, but the truth is Tate's Tsunami of followership by young Muslims and potential converts who idolise him and follow suit of whatever he approves of or do is a golden reason to be concerned about. So preaching to Tate at any time is a matter of necessity not a matter of comparison, criticism or too early to prompt him about stuff. It is a clear case of getting the head and the tail automatically follows.
After all, I don't mean he's not new in terms of his ahlaaq. But I meant not new in terms of how long. A year is not new obviously in that sense.
Just don't underestimate the power of the role model system of this generation. Ask yourself how many kids now smoke Cigar because the great Andrew does that? With all due respect.
