Oh glad to see you went here. It’s an interesting looking place. Love the different theming from the movies. My favorite is spirited away but I need to but the boy and the heron haha long lines for no face. Wow. I guess it’s very iconic. Oh and a stuffed ponyo. I would love to see a collab between Miyazaki and Tim Burton. Was it Miyazaki’s son that designed the park? Wow the food looked very creative. Great video.
The Boy and the Heron ranks high on our Studio Ghibli movie list. It really impressed us. A Miyazaki/Burton collab sounds next level. Can you imagine a Tim Burton inspired park? That would be amazing, especially for this time of year. And yes, apparently his son Goro was lead designer. Thanks for tuning in! 😁
@@MattandRachelTravel a Tim Burton park would be the greatest thing ever. I think he could have some great ride ideas and the buildings would be amazing. Photo ops with Edward scissor hands, beetlejuice, Batman land. Oh man Caroline houses. Ok I’m all in. I’d even invest.
It looks so cut and magical there! Do you think it was worth the travel time/expense to go? I'm currently planning my Japan trip, and I already have such a long list of things I want to do idk what to keep and what to cut out.
Definitely worth it if you’re a big Studio Ghibli fan! Tickets ran us $50 a person. Travel time wasn’t bad at all. It’s only 1.5 hours from Tokyo by Shinkansen. 30 minutes from Kyoto. Then there’s another 30 minutes probably to actually get to the park. We feel your pain about wanting to do so many things. It’s hard but try to make a short list of “must dos” and then create the rest of your trip around those!
You can definitely take a taxi directly to the park, but we don’t remember seeing a specific area. We are sure there is, but we probably just missed it.
