Aaahh!! Can’t believe it’s finally worth visiting! I wish I was at Japan still😢I left just 2 weeks ago! It looks so much fun! The acting is wonderful now!
I adored your outfit from the beginning THEN when u stood next to the film poster..I adored it two folds!! I really enjoyed your “Easter egg”😊 much love!!
This looks amazing. As someone who takes a huge amount of photos, and I do mean a huge amount, for example I was away 10 days last year and took almost 5000 photos, I’d find it really hard not being able to take pictures to keep for future memories.
I like that Ghibli Park really discourages photos and filming to push people to be in the moment and not obsessed with trying to make content for their social media. So many theme park experiences get ruined by people trying to take the "perfect" Instagram photo or make Tik Tok videos at the cost of other visitors' experience. A little disappointed that the Valley of the Witches doesn't include the bathhouse from Spirited Away. Maybe it'll be part of future expansions? I'm sure people would love to try out that restaurant where Chihiro's parents got turned into pigs.
@@zeroraptor_ I think the no pictures is more for business purposes because you can record everywhere almost except for the main theme park exhibits that most people will be drawn to and pay money for. If people show everything in videos and pics of their own it may incline others to not visit the park. Just my opinion of it. But yours is a nice thought :)
@@LatinaKamilla Given the size of the houses, the no photography/video rule would also help with visitor flow. Pretty sure if they allowed visitors to take pictures/record videos, it would take forever just to get into the houses. I have no doubt they would have wait times posted at every building due to Instagrammers/Tik Tokers holding up the rooms.
there's multiple areas that are specifically set up for selfies with people having to queue up for 30 minutes or so to stand in front of a plastic representation of Ghibli characters to get their instagram fix.
This was such a nice video. Its always great to see a Ghibli geek just geeking out for half an hour. I tried getting tickets one year ago but i learned that I had to apply one month prior and then wait for a raffle so I couldn't go.
I went over two days for my 40th birthday in early April and it was just so good. Even in the pouring rain on one of the days. Was worth waking up stupidly early to get the tickets. It's such vibes. Like it's a theme park in that it's a themed park but it's so laid back. Definitely a highlight of my trip.
@@bravosierra2447 so I do have pointers. How I did it was I did the grand warehouse with my mom on my birthday. We got tickets for opening and went straight to the queue for photos in the ghibli scenes as that seems to be the most popular then we leisurely roamed the rest of the warehouse and gift shop and went into they valley of the witches to look around but our ticket didn’t let us into things but you can look outside. Second day I could only get the full ticket so I toured inside everywhere. Pointer- if you get the premium ticket you can arrive at anytime to start going through the buildings. The time on your ticket is only limited to when you can enter the warehouse so if you want the most time to see everything get whatever premium ticket you can and arrive for opening. Also once you leave the warehouse you can’t get back in not even for the shop so make sure you get your shopping in. If I were doing it two days again I’d do the full roam around the buildings with warehouse pass towards the end of the day and do my shopping then and then non premium ticket one day as close to opening as possible to maximise time in the warehouse. You can’t really go wrong though it’s very very cool.
@@bravosierra2447 also if you have someone who is less interested but they don’t want to be left behind talk to them bc I couldn’t get my mom a premium ticket but she loves parks and outside of not being allowed into the specialty areas she enjoyed going around the park spaces and there are cafes and stuff around. She stayed on that second day almost as long as I did without having ghibli park access
Hi, may i asked you a simple question? Do they checked your paspor when you enter the park ? Bcause i made mistake when i wrote the name on the booking :’(
The place looks really fun! The place is now bigger and has more stuff to do so if anyone wanted to experience the entire thing, they gotta be there for more than one day and the areas are also far apart from each other and you gotta walk (bus seems fun but it looks like you'd miss out on just taking in the scenery unlike with walking). I wish I could go there cause that looks nice. I also think it's not bad that it's not all rides cause the place feels like walking into a fantasy world and would be an experience in of itself.
I actually used your blog a couple years back to check out all the merchandises before I went there. It really helped me figure out what to buy before my Japan trip. As for no photos or videos, I was allowed to take videos and photos in most of the warehouse and in the Totoro house. I did wind up spending my time taking thousand photos there. Maybe they added the policy later for the new spots.
I love to watch you enjoy the food! It is more fun than eating myself (and no calories for me). Question - in your videos, theme parks are not that crowded. Do you get special permission to go in early? What are your best tips for avoiding crowds? Thank you!
Kiki’s delivery service and Princess Mononoke are two of my favorite Studio Ghibli films if I ever get to visit Japan I will definitely pay these place a visit out thanks for sharing your experience of this amazing theme park 👍❤️
Hi! Great video. Thoughts on doing a day trip here on our way to Tokyo from Osaka? Luggage storage at the train station? Thank you so much for the content!
I will probably buy the O-Sanpo Day Pass Premium Ticket twice (to go on 2 days) then. Because I would really feel stressed out if I have to rush myself for time haha and I want to see and enjoy everything in the Park ! Thank you so much for the video and the tips ! I can't wait to visit Japan again one day :)
Not gonna lie, as a French girl I almost had a stroke at reading "ketchup spaghetti quiche" on the menu...then a second one at seeing the actual dish 😂
I've been to the Ghibli Park last month and had a really enjoyable time (spent the whole day here but didn't get time to visit the Princess Mononoke area, we didn't even get to have lunch). Would definitely go again for the park-exclusive merch! I had the O-Sanpo premium pass which is really worth the photo spots, especially if you are a Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service fan. I wish they had more Ponyo-related photo spots (or maybe it just happened to be the place I didn't get to go to). I highly recommend buying the theatre brochures from grand warehouse as I've heard that nowhere else in Japan (the dondoko ghibli shops, and ghibli museum - but I might be mistaken since I didn't make a trip to the museum) stocks them. Also get the short film book because it's really cute. Mine was Koro's Day Out and I adore the storyboards and illustration. It's also nice to dress up as characters from ghibli films if it's not too hard to walk. I went to the park dressed as Kiki and it makes your photos look a lot more special! :) I've also seen kids and adults dress up as Sophie, Kiki, and Arrietty, which is really cute. The staff will also compliment your efforts in dressing up :)
I agree about the no photo or video thing. I think we don't really experience or treasure our visit as much anymore since the camera phone came in to be. Most people are more likely to just forget the experience after they leave.
So glad you got this review posted! It brings me back to June when I was there. I agree with all your thoughts except the Mononoke village. You can get the same kind of grilled rice at Nagoya Castle for like $3. Do you think in a couple years they might expand the park again?
I have been to Japan last year for my 25th birthday with my older sister on a tour called one life and we started in Tokyo then we went to Hakone then Takayama then Kyoto and last but not least Osaka but even though we arrived a day early before the tour started I still had fun and we stayed in Tokyo for 1 extra day then we had to go home to America

Thanks for another great video, and it is lovely to watch a true fan going through and enjoying the park for what it is! 😊 My family is really trying to squeeze in Ghibli Park, but it is unfortunately only open the last 2 days of our trip to Japan! Do you think it is possible to travel from Tokyo to Nagoya on Friday, do the park on Saturday, and rush back on a train back to Tokyo for a night flight on three Sunday? 😢
Personally I think they need to add disney-style immersive ride. Imagine Kiky adventure or Laputa bee-aircraft ride done in the way of peter pan of japan disneyland, it will be super

Just saying, if you're interested in retiring in the valley of witches, then may I interest you in the Swedish island Gotland? ^^ Fun fact, Koriko city in Kiki is heavily inspired by the town Visby on that island, to the point of some text in the movie even being lifted from real life! If you want more places that remind you of Kiki, I recommend checking it out! Heck, I can even vouch for it as someone originally from the island! ^^ Anyways, lovely video as always! Can't wait to see more from you!
Hey! I am headed to Japan and just got my tickets for Studio Ghibli. I'm a bit confused though so hoping someone can help me out! I got the O-Sanpo pass with a 2pm entrance. I didn't see an option for a premium ticket... My question is does that 2pm entrance ticket mean I can go into the warehouse at 2pm but can explore the rest of the park at any time or that I can't go into any area until 2pm? Hope that question makes sense and thanks in advance for the help! :)
Hello, the O-Sanpo pass is not a premium ticket, so you could not visit Howl's Castle, The Okino Residence, The House of Witches, Satsuki and Mei's House, World Emporium inside. About your question, you could go into the Warehouse at 2pm and you can explore the rest of the park at any time! hi Chris thanks for all your great videos I love em I'm on one of my different you tube channel I lost one, I did get to get all my favorite followers back,, watching your videos twice ( just got done fantasy springs for the 3rd time, I'm now watching the Disney Sea with the vacation package for the 3rd time THANKS tell your camera man hi, I luv ya guys😊
I finally secured my premium ticket after months of trying. It's going to be my first time, so to my understanding, we can get in the park and visit attractions even though our warehouse time is 11 a.m. It's going to be a weekend, so I want to be there at 9 a.m. and explore the attractions.
I was just there, probably the same time the video was made... I didn't think this park was that cool, the video makes it look funner that it was. It may have been the heat wave and crowds that damped my view, I give this park a 6 out of 10.
I understand that theme parks are essentially glorified malls and shopping “experiences” but this takes it to the next level. Nicely themed facades to sell merch and food.
Chris!!! Visiting in early Nov happy to bring you a few tubs of chicken salt from Australia! We will be doing a package at TDR so shoot us a message and let us treat you to some chicken salt and Tim tams and Vegemite it will be our pleasure! Regards Terri,Vince,Jamee Perth Australia 🇦🇺❤
I know it's probably gross... but I feel like there was a missed opportunity for herring pie (Although, knowing Ghibli Park, they probably tried it several times in their test kitchen and probably couldn't get it to taste appealing enough to sell to guest)
What I noticed is that a lot of the surfaces look too clean and manufactured, especially anything wooden. It's most jarring on the moving castle imo. I wished they would have aged the surfaces artificially or added some "grime" to it. Maybe this'll improve naturally as the surfaces are allowed to age eventually. Though the inside spaces give me the same feeling. It sort of prevents much of the cozy aspect. Anyway, I absolutely have this on my list for when we eventually travel to Japan 🥹

I finally secured my premium ticket after months of trying. It's going to be my first time, so to my understanding, we can get in the park and visit attractions even though our warehouse time is 11 a.m. It's going to be a weekend, so I want to be there at 9 a.m. and explore the attractions.
@@Cyan1996 how did u get the tickets ? I want to buy them for February ! Any info would be great thanks
Were the pop up tents in each area only due to rain? They distracted from the immersion for me
It would be to keep people out of the sun to keep them safe.
Chris!!! Visiting in early Nov happy to bring you a few tubs of chicken salt from Australia! We will be doing a package at TDR so shoot us a message and let us treat you to some chicken salt and Tim tams and Vegemite it will be our pleasure!

The idea of no inside photos, also keeps everything mysterious for visitors.
Yep!

hi tdr exp;orer do you need thumbnail designer at cheap rates?
i can send you chicken salt
Reason no photos and films to make people go there vs watching it online all so so they can sell you merch
Anyone have experience booking hotel package with park tickets? Please advise ❤
