I am a "D", high density, and had breast surgery to remove tumors years ago. The technicians always comes back to take additional screens during mammograms. I have an aunt that survived breast cancer. I was never told about additional tests! I am going to contact my doctor! Why haven't we been told about this? I get those letters and think nothing about it. Bless this woman for sharing her story, the information, and you two for telling us!

Thank you for your willingness to highlight and educate people on this dreadful disease. I am a 5 yrs breast cancer survivor. After my diagnosis and talking with other breast cancer patients I was shocked at the lack of education people have on this subject. Your love of God is shining this morning. ❤.

This affects everyone. As a man, I have lost people very close to me from breast cancer-my mom’s best friend (who was like an aunt to me), my first professional mentor (without whose support I would have been lost) and my mom, who had breast cancer twice. The heartbreak included, it is a men’s issue. Thank you for sharing, Jenny. ❤❤❤

The message is so important. I'm a 5 year breast cancer survivor. The kind of cancer I had became treatable because of cancer research. My Dr. told myhusband and I, had I come in with this kind of cancer a year and a half before, they would have told me there was nothing they could do for me, go home and get your life in order. I'm so thankful for the new breakthroughs being made.
We will be praying for Heidi and her family. She's a fighter!
I'm thankful for Gardening with Creekside and all that you do. I began watching during my recovery. Love you guys.

Breast cancer occurs in men as well. Dear friend in Lancaster, SC, just had surgery and awaiting Oncology results. He was embarrassed for people to know this. He’s the second male I’ve known with this. Unfortunately the first man died at an early age. All males that detect a tumor should seek treatment immediately.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 Beast Cancer. I had radical surgery which includes lymph nodes. This is still information I haven’t known. Very great information which we should all know. I live in Utah, Greatfully my state has insurance that covers ultersound and biopsy. Which determined that I was stage 4, I went right into chemo and radiation. Finally I had an MRI which showed my body was producing tumors, other than the ones I was being treated for. Then the surgeries start. So much more information is needed.

Thank you for all this information I never knew any of this. My older sister was like Heidi and was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasis breast cancer and she only lived 18 months after being diagnosed that was in 2003. She was also very diligent about getting her mammograms. Prayers for you Heidi and thank you for all you are doing to get this message out.

I can’t thank you enough for this information! I’ve never heard about the importance of the density of the breast tissue and I’m 61 years old.

Thank you so much for this. At 50, I have been diagnosed with atypical hyperplasia and have had two (fortunately precancerous) lumps removed. Due to this I now receive a rotation of ultrasounds and MRI screenings yearly. It is because of women like Heidi that I can receive the preventive care I need. What a blessing to hear Heidi’s story today. Prayers for her, her family, and her friends.

Even before this video was complete, I called the hospital where the breast cancer center is and ordered my complete mammogram records. I have been told I have dense breasts and did have calcifications that were treated a few years back. I will look into the laws in Georgia to see what legal has to be covered. THANK YOU for sharing this vital information.

🩷Thank you for this. I have my yearly mammogram tomorrow and have been told in the past I have dense breast. I’ve never been told how dense, so tomorrow I’ll be finding out and getting further tests done. Praying for you Heidi.🌷

I'm glad to see this video ❤ I have a couple friends who are long term survivors with metastasic breast cancer who are still here only because of medical research funded by Metavivor grants.

Thank you! I just reviewed my mammogram report, and do recall being told about density in the past. I did not fully understand this. This discussion is enlightening.
