    I have 2 questions if anyone knows the answere.
    Why should you adjust the board or is it possible to adjust it improperly at a bad angle .
    And more importantly as I watch the use of theese , is there sole purpose to stop golfers from coming inside on the backswing so to speak or getting to handsie and no body rotation

      Adjusting the board allows for different clubs that might be longer or shorter. Not sure on the last question…I’d love to know as well.

      The swing plane board is great for learning how to chip and pitch. Can you adjust it out of plane? Yes, that’s why it’s great for just chipping and pitching which is the foundation to a better overall golf swing. Build it small and it will behave when you build it bigger

      @@Nonyabizznazthe angle that the club lies on. The angle will be steeper on a wedge than a 3 iron for example. Clubs generally flatten the longer they get.

    This is the first time in my life that I have ever seen a home-made swing plane trainer. Never knew one existed until now. I'm encouraged by your progress and determination to improve your game. Keep at it, and before you know it you'll be hitting them long and straight!

    This is really cool! As someone who has tried every conceivable way to learn to swing a golf club the plane is for more advanced golfers trying to dial things in. Having said that it's still nice to get a feel and idea of the concept early on. If you genuinely want to learn golf start with the wrists. The wrists are 75% of the speed and accuracy in the swing!

    the plane board i think is for some ideal swing plane angle that doesn't really exist in a real swing. you can't swing straight back because when the body rotates the arms and club arc more inside and up than the board would allow. i'm sorry but that's how i see it.

    What angle should the board be set

    • @golfneophyte
      @golfneophyte  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the angle is based off which club you are using, I’m not too proficient at it so I’m not the best help.

      looked like a 1x4. The board itself looked more like fiber board instead of plywood. If you use your drill a lot it would be worth buying a second battery pack and charger base. That way when the first battery goes down you have a fresh one to just pop in.

      @@golfneophyte I would almost be scared to use a sheet of plywood as a swing plane trainer. I'd be afraid that I would accidentally swing down behind the board and either damage the club or myself. I know you said slow swings but swinging slow only helps to a point and you gotta take a decent swing with some speed to really ingrain the good habits. You might try building one using a hula hoop with some PVC pipe to hold it up. That way you can take full swings and always be on plane.

    • @golfneophyte
      @golfneophyte  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just thought about that yesterday when I saw the hula hoops at the store! Might have to do that!
