I found your channel, heard your accent and screeched to a halt. You have made my day. I grew up in Leeds though I now live in New Hampshire. I look forward to catching up with you and your projects.
Minnie’s crochet cardigan is totally brilliant, she’ll love it ❤. A nice sweater for yourself from the DK minis would be fun, and I love to see how you put colours together x
I am a sucker for scrappy socks - some for you, your sister and Minnie would be a good way to use up your minis. I am 64, so I remember Mivvis, Marathons (Snickers), Jif (Cif - which I think sounds like a nasty disease) and Smash instant mashed potato! Jinny
Hello Franny, i love the colours from the hexie Cardigan and the socks are 🥰😍🤩, a stripes Sweater or Cardigan with the DK minis and a mohair can be beautyfull. I love your Podcast ❤ greetings from Germany Susann
🎉🎉 congratulations on 2k subscribers,,,,❤❤ DK minis would be perfect for so much ,, DK scrappy socks,,,love scrappy 🧦 DK granny stripe blanket,,,I love my fingering one so much,,, Jelly roll in DK,,,,,making one now,,,and loving it,,, Enjoyed ur episodes ,fran,,,,thanks so much Elaine 💗🏠
I'm saving my minis to make the Battenberg blanket - have you made one before? I also love my scrappy granny strip blankets - I like to have all the yarn in a big bag and just reach in to pick the next color. Congrats on reaching 2000!
Hi Franny, have you seen Emma C makes podcasts? She does some amazing projects with mini yarns! I’m making a mini granny square blanket. Her work is lovely . Much love to you Julie xxx
Love Minnie’s cardigan soo cute. I think a jumper in your DK minis would be a fab idea, or another shawl🤔or a blanket😂. It will be lovely whatever you choose. Congratulations on reaching 2k subscribers xxx
Gorgeous shawl!! And I love those sprocket socks! WIPs are looking good. That Tolsta tank is going to be great in that lovely blue. I would make a moss stitch corner to corner blanket with those minis. Congrats on 2 K!!! 🎉🙌🏼🎉
DK minis for me would definitely be granny stripe blanket and you can sit cosy and admire all the colours on your knee! Plus the fun of deciding which order 😊 Thanks for sharing.
Love love love your Exploration Station, your colour choices are stunning, just hope mine comes out as pretty when I get round to it. One of Stephen West’s Painting Honeycomb patterns would be a great use of your DK minis 🍯 🐝 🎨
I absolutely love your shawl 😍. If you would like to try all different things, you could do a sampler blanket of different squares with all of your DK minis. It’s something I’ve thought about doing but just couldn’t pick one. Congratulations on 2K subscribers 🧶
Hi Fran, Minnie so lucky her jacket is a show stopper ❤ You influenced me last week to cast pn another vertices unite!!! I dod govey other one to my sister though. The sweet shop blanket would be lovely by Laura Penrose x
You could use the DK minis to make the Jethro Cardigan by Tanis Lavelle, the body is made with granny squares and then you add knitted sleeves and rib. I know what you mean about kids clothes, the boys section seems to get smaller every time we look, my son commissions that the girls get all the colourful, fun tops too. He says boys like Squishmallows and Stitch too 😅
I love the Fly Away by Tincan Knits or the Sweetshop blanket by Laura Penrose with your minis. If you fancy crochet then a Granny Stripe looks great too. So much choice, too little time to make everything unfortunately 😂
Your shawl is absolutely incredible. I love your colours so much. I am set to do the mkal this October but I am now tempted to do the exploration station after I finish that one. Loved this episode!
You could make the Stella quilt blanket by Laura Penrose. If you get more of them you could add Stella quilt pillows, they would be very beautiful on a couch. I have a 2 year old and when we were searching for furniture for the baby room we could find only grey things. Grey cots, dressers, curtains etc. No color... For a baby! We had to search a lot to find something with color... it's the new fashion unfortunately, everything grey. I like the colors you use, your exploration shawl is amazing! Thank you for the podcast!
Hi Fran, I think you should knit scrappy sweaters for yourself and your daughter , they would not be matching but would be similar. Know tell me that’s not a good idea 😂😂😂😂😂😂. What about a super large shawl for cosy nights on the sofa xxxx
For the DK minis I think a blanket is in order. I’ve been loving my giant 100 round granny squares, but I imagine any pattern would work well to show off the variety of colours
Hey Fran. I’m working my way through all the old Mkals and you’ve definitely inspired me to move the Exploration Station up the list! Maybe I’ll cast it on after this year’s MKAL? Love love love your colour choice in your shawl 💜💜 Congrats on more than 2k subscribers 🎉❤ Kath
Hi Franny, I have been binge watching your episodes since I discovered you a couple of weeks ago. How about making a Sea Glass cardigan by Wool and Pine if you have enough minis. Love your shows xx
I was also about to suggest making a Litmus cowl but I see I’m not the first one here! It’s a really nice pattern though, so I’ll stick with it anyways 😅 Congrats on hitting a new milestone! 🎉
Congratulations 🥂 to the 2000 subscribers! As always you knitting is beautiful and I’m going to miss seeing those Exploration Station colours! How about another blanket to keep you warm with those DKs? A Battenberg or a Sweet Shop Blanket, a Log Cabin blanket either knitted or crocheted, a Northeasterly perhaps? Or if you can Tunisian Crochet… what about using the Radiating Squares pattern for either a blanket or a large wraparound shawl? 💜
Congratulations on the subscriber milestone 🥳 How about the Mystical Lanterns blanket by Jane Crowfoot as an alternative shape to granny squares? Your riot of colourful minis would really shine with a neutral border around each lantern shape in a single colour🙂 Or how about one of the Attic 24 blanket patterns - I am doing the Cosy Stripe which alternates two rows of treble crochets with two rows of granny clusters for a bit of visual variety. No doubt you will find something fab to use them for! xx
Congrats on 2k! Your Exploration Station is fabulous, you are so good at putting colours together. I suggested the Little Squares blanket over on IG, but I was eyeing up the Seaglass Cardi yesterday and was just wondering if that might be an option for all your beautiful minis? I also really like Fade Into Christmas by Yarnia Designs. Other blankets I'd love to make are Bits and Bobs, Quadrophenia and Jelly Roll all by Kay Jones and ZigZagZen blanket by Anniina Juuti. My favourite crochet blanket I've ever made is Retro Baby Blanket by Little Dolally, and I'm knitting a second Anthology Throw by Curious Handmade because they are such fun! I might get a bit over excited when it comes to blankets!!
Hi Fran - Have you made a Sweetshop blanket? The minis would be great for that. Otherwise, what about a striped sweater or cardigan. How would they look as a Radvent cardigan by Ambah O’Brien? Congratulations on getting to 2,000!🎉
May I suggest a DK version of the Litmus Cowl for your minis. I know you love to keep your neck warm, lol. I'm doing the Stephen West MKAL for the first time this year.
