I just found your "plants I hate" video, which made me actually laugh pretty hard cause of your passion. I sent it to ten of my friends, who also loved it. I am also super passionate (my friends say dorky) about outside plants and specifically roses. It's great to see your love of plants. Thank you for bringing light to a world that's kinda dark right now.

You always have interesting choices. Those ''lemon lime'' xanadus are common and cheap in Australia. Xanadus sold as large outdoor plants and quite common in gardens. I also have the sininngia bullata. Leaves look lighter green than your pic. Nice purple flowers. Big rhizome. Didn't know what it was when I bought it. Was just looking for a pilea friendship plant and thought this had a similar texture. Can't get a cebu blue or a silvery Anne in any shop, nor a scindapsus treubii. They are my wishies.

I didn't know Thaumatophyllum Xanadu came in lime green! I just got myself a very large cutting (regular color) from a very old plant with a thick, woody stem and a bunch of aerial roots and I LOVE it. It's one of my favorite plants in my incipient collection. I have about 30 plants at home right now, but I'm going for the indoor jungle vibe. I'll start hunting for one of those lime green plants although It'll probably take more space than I have available right now.

A greenhouse carer from at the place where I bought my Rhipsalis baccifera said that a lot of the Rhipsalis family are endangered or extinct in the wild, because of destruction of their habitats. That could be why some prices are high. I like their Schlumbergera cousins too, very underrated or maybe out of fashion. I got a 40+ years old plant as a gift and it's still thriving.

The “Florida Beauty” caught my eye, when I watched a teacher I have studied floral arranging with, add a single leaf in her arrangement. I guess she has access to lists with photos. I looked up the plant. I found one seller with a price of $70. That was the first time I looked up a plant after just seeing it somewhere. I was surprised then not surprised that she got hold of a single leaf in perfect condition. She probably didn’t pay for it either. Friends. She has loads of friends in the floral industry. I used to go to The PHS Flower Show every year. It was something I could afford at the time. Florida Beauty would be a nice catch.

YES I so want the Ripsalis Paradoxa. I have seen one really large one in a ladies home over in AU. It looks to be huge. I agree it looks like it just flows out of the pot . The shapes of the leaves? kind of twisty are amazing. I did see one go on bay awhile back, maybe a month or so. Do not even remember what it went for. I have also seen just cuttings for higher prices. I fear I do not have enough years left to see it grow to maturity. YES I am older then dirt. But I still love my plants. The Plants are Beauties.
My wish is a Wide or Round leaf Adansonii. I bought a young one but now it is here I am not sure it is really the wide leaf. But then it is a newly rooted cutting. Maybe they take time to mature.

I'm a big lover of Philodendrons, and slow growing plants always have that kind of special something. You have to love them and care for them to get rewarded. So i thought i wanted a Philodendron Ring of Fire. Like you i'm not a huge fan of variegation, but when it's right it's right. I thought that would be a great center of the room, the guy dressed in all glitter so the rest can just relax. But then they came out with the Philodendron Caramel Marble. It's INSANE. It killed the market for the Ring of Fire. It's so beautiful. There's no way i would ever pay that much for a plant even if i had that much, but i really want it when i can have it. It's like something a kid will draw turned into an actual plant.

I do have a Billietiae in my collection and I absolutely love it. The next plant on my wish list is a Philodendron Plowmanii. I am trying to get one for under $100 but I have not had much luck. Let me just warn you that it is incredibly difficult to keep pests off of a Xanadu! They always get bugs! I had a huge one that I unfortunately lost a couple years ago from mealy bugs. I was able to save a small cutting from it and have kept that alive for 2 years now. And now, that one has managed to have gotten spider mites and is in a touch and go kind of situation now. 😭🙄

My burle marx philo is so beautiful I'm not sure I would want the more expensive long leaf varieties. I'm with you on loving the plain green varieties of some plants. I keep looking for the Senecio macroglossus in green (I already have the variegated) but I cannot find it anywhere. And what I oftentimes see listed isn't Senecio macroglossus but Senecio mikaniodes/Delairea odorata (depending on the seller) and it's just not the same plant. Macroglossus has thin stems with succulent leaves while the mikaniodes/odorata has a thick stem and thin (and easily bruised) leaves. Hopefully one will show up some day.

I've recently become obsessed with caudex plants, I ordered a Phyllanthus Mirabilis from Thailand (that should arrive next month). 🥔🌱

I'm just sitting around patiently awaiting an Urban Jungle restock - just moved and left many plants behind with friends so I'm in the market for even basic houseplants that just wouldn't travel well in my car across the country

Sinningia bullata comes up every so often (every 4-6 weeks?) on eBay - if you save your search you'll get emailed about it. I purchased mine from Kartuz Greenhouses last year but at the time they only had the one. It is a great plant, and if you're fast you can try to propagate it before it flowers as apparently post-flowering it's very hard if not impossible to propagate.

    1. Amydrium medium green (Spiderman monstera is its common name but looks like monstera peru's older brother)
    2. Philodendron lupinum (the mature form is soooo different from the juvenile form.)
    3. Philodendron jose buono imbe (the verigation i think is stable. But rhe verigation is what i like.)
    4. Philodendron majesty (sucker for black leaves.)
    5. Monstera peru ( its my white whale. I've been waiting for one for over a year. Texture alone is a sight)
    6. Philodendron squamiferum
( i like the idea of a fuzzy stem. Theres another one out there but i like the leaves on this one)
    7. Philodendron brandtianum (i love the verigation to the point it looks fake)
    8. Philodendron pedatum golden dragon (i love the venstarions of the leaves. The lobes are different)
    9. Zz raven (sucker for black leaves yet again)
    10. Calatha warscewiczii (i love the coloration. Its velevet i think or it looks velvet. )
I think black leaves are going to be the new desired soon.

I have the green hoya macrophylla and I love it! It has amazing veining and is an extreme quick grower (gave me 6 huge leaves this year). I bought it for 7 dollars.

How do you say all the scientific names so fast without screwing it up? 😂 I'm in awe! I can't even say them slowly let alone as fast as you do.

LOL Another fenestration lover here. I had no idea the Xanady came in lime green. Ticks both my boxes for producing live green. The auction photo does show it being a very light green but upon arrival it is green. She sends lovely starter plants though bare root but really good sized plants for very reasonable prices. So exciting for me is the new to me Epipremnum Pinnatum I just bought maybe a month ago. Young vines from OLD stem mother plant are starting to put out fenestrated leaves. Just starting wee holes. I am over the top about this. The plants came from Hawaii and shipping was amazing. bought one and was so leased with it I bought a second. LOL Might combine them to grow up a really tall moss pole.

I am completely obsessed with anthurium at the moment. I don't know what happened there. I feel like this obsession came out of nowhere, yet here we are.

I found Sinningia bullata for the first time late 2019 at an arid & exotics nursery in Perth, Western Australia. It's the only place I've seen them but still I'm amazed we have it here in Perth, AKA: the city that misses out on all the cool plants because of strict quarantine rules. It's on my wishlist but a bit out of my price range. I'll wait until they become more common for the price to go down, I think!

Got one at Annandale nursery in Sydney about a year back. $29. Didn't know what it was. Just thought it looked cool.
