- Please read: I know this is a slower version of this song, and I like this song at original tempo with full orchestra. I know what it's like for those who have taken this at a faster tempo with a full orchestra, so please stop complaining by how slow it is. Mmk? Well thank you(: enjoy.
the cello part of this is just sickening. i just love it so much, especially when we get the melody. this song just makes me melt.
I thought it was just me, I’m glad everyone regards this song as powerful
I loved playing the cello part in high school. This is my favorite song from back then.
Viola and cello are just so attractive in this song😩
aren’t they always..? lmao
i played this in orchestra once, it was so fun, I want to do it again
My orchestra was gonna play it but quarantine :(
I feel so old we played this in middle school orchestra. School year... 2003-2004 or 2004-2005? GOSH! SO LONG AGO! 😭😭😩😩
Me too
I am playing this for my concert with a cello, and 2 violias and like 7 other violinist. I am so scared😫😫 it is in a week. We have to play it sorts fast. And I am glad because this kinda sounds like what we sounded like.
It’s okay really I did the ama etching and we did amazing I bet you did too!
How did it go lol
That tempo just keeps climbing.
It's all long over, but hope you did well.
1:37-1:51 is amazing, my favorite part to play (Coming from a second violin's POV)
YES!!
We are playing it now in Cheektowaga community orchestra, (original manuscript) those high fast notes are tricky! (Vln II)
2nd violin gang... yay
exactly!!
David Loudon finally! Another one of us
I could cry. The bass in this is EVERYTHING.
Played English horn in this piece once. Literally could not feel my abs for a week.
Ha playing cello in this song was fun. I had ice in my shoulder that night cause it was my last song of like 20
Played it in violin. My shoulders were DEAD as were my fingers. My shoulder was not used to as intense music as this, and my fingers were always moving as the strings were kinda cutting into them and numbing them
Thank you for the slow version. This is how I remember playing it. I prefer it to the full orchestra version with that out of control accelerando.
Agreed.
Wait, this is the slow version?
Oh dear god
@@FuraFaolox my exact reaction
I loved playing this at Honor Orchestra this year.
Cello for life boi

I love the orchestra version! Thanks for sharing! I like it a tempo as well but with orchestral it's much more expressive.

ahhhh this song was the BEST as a bass it's not often i have as much fun w a piece as i did here!! feeling bittersweet since this is my last year in orchestra before i graduate... i've been going through all our old songs and nothing feels worse than knowing i'll never play them w the group i did again. good times, man.

We only sheet read this song as a class once for fun and then I think later we threw it away along with olther old sheet music, but I never forgot even listening to it now I can remember playing certain parts in the viola section like the plucking. Great song got me into classic russian music 10/10
I like this slower version because the faster phrases are a bit more pronounced.
Yes oh my gosh
Love it! This slow version gives a different inflection than the original, which is great!
I love this slower version! Yay! And nicely done.
I always liked the slower version!
as a celloist currently learning this song for a concert 😭 it’s so fun to play i swear
I started playing this in my youth orchestra, and immediately got excited because Aly Raisman has the same floor music
Thank you , poster, beautiful. We re going to complain about no data who is playing , when, and where. ;)
I get to play this in my orchestra :-)

This is one my favorite arrangements I did for my marching band and others. I like this arrangement and the group sounds great.
I played this in 7th grade and it was one of my favorite songs!

I’m playing this for assessments this year! I’m so hype for it
Playing this in 8th grade orchestra, hopefully we sound as good in the long run (bass btw)
What are ya, gay or something?
we just played this for districts, but i play bass clarinet so we played it as a symphony orchestra. I love the into, best part of the piece
Omg. It makes me remember the orchestra. :3 I remember hahahahaha With this music I wanted to learn cello or viola. They were awesome. (Violin's POV)
Playing this in my school orchestra! First violin B part is honestly the best part to play!!! 🤯
I'm only in 7th grade and were playing this! It's such a good Piece :)
Viola!! we are always way out numbered by the violins :(
2nd seat by the way! :)
I see all these comments saying "[insert string instrument name here]s unite!" And I'm just sitting here, a lonely 8th grade Alto Saxophonist.
Have a blanket.
@@jamesfitzgeraldpatricksain9471 thank you.

Oof don't know if you're joking or not with the asterisk but. wtf. 💀
this is the best version i've ever heard
We are playing this piece in my spring concert!
you VIOLA you SCREAM
Wars of Liberty
>"it's a slower version of this song"
Well then I'll play at 1.25x speed.
Modern problems require modern solutions.
You skipped some of my favourite parts when my chamber group played it, but this sounds really amazing! Good job. =D ♥ It's beautiful.
Love this song. We're playing it in our orchestra now.
UGH, played bass for this. It hurt so much.
I know how you feel brother, still practicing this one
we played this piece for my spring concert(:
This is my favorite song we've played in orchestra! It's so fun :D
Ahh when I listen to this song it makes me picture the battle of Stalingrad. The frozen bodies laying in the ice as piercing rounds fire from the machine gun posts in the Windows and terrible atrocities are committed as other men are cut down by sniper fire. For the Germans take the perimeter of the city but will soon be engulfed by the endless waves of oncoming Russian soldiers. In the end all are doomed for there is no food
played bass clarinet in high school for this song lmao my lungs have never recovered
we're playing this in seventh grade with the whole school district's orchestra .-. that's 3rd-12th grade. I'm terrified ~>_
Leah Kelly How did it go?
YOU HAVE THIRD GRADE ORCHESTRA?
How are 3rd graders gonna play this? It’s not the simplest song. Also I would hate sharing a song with all the grades.
We played this at our concert last year
I love this song
I learned this at 12 just been in my head it's like I'm on my way to war or a victory either way we'll be dancing
It's pretty when that violin comes in. Interesting arrangement.
Played this in advanced orchestra, I’m a cello. It’s my first year playing. But yay cellos. This song was a blast!
Not sure why anyone should complain about the tempo. I played this song numerous times for competition, always winning. This is the tempo we played at, and I believe the intended speed of the composer. Those that feel the need to show off by playing faster apparently do not value the beauty of the song or the intent of the composer. Thank you for sharing one of my favorite pieces.
read the description. we are not "showing off by playing faster", we are playing the original song and this is just a slightly slower, but just as good version of the song.
We are playing this in orchestra. I am a viola player but I have a violin II part because there are too many viola players and not enough violins. Never thought that would happen.
We are playing this for contest this April. Wish us luck! I play the Viola if ya wanted to know.
E BG
good luck! We're playing this next Tuesday, I'm the second chair first violin (The first chair kid started playing when he was four years old... so yeah 😂)
I wish you the best of luck!!
How'd you guys do?
Memories. Were you really in Orchestra, if you DIDN't play this? 😭
This is about the speed my orchestra performed it! We played this piece as our premier piece in our concert this Tuesday. BTW, 2nd Violin RULES!!!!
im doing this in orchestra! :D Love this piece
Going into my fourth year as a cello and the song is awsome

Nellya "Nelli" Kim's maternal ancestors are Lebanese, her paternal ancestors are Korean. Half Arab, half Asian.
we're playing this in orchestra and we're playing it a heck of a lot faster! this is so slow!! its almost annoying having to hear it at such a slow speed.
Ahhhh LETS GO VIOLAS! Brings back great memories!
Those string crossings from the A string to the G string during the 16th notes are so difficult for me.
@jaceh8r THANK YOU!!!! Finally getting some respect for the Viola.
@iheartguard09 I know it's suppose to be faster. haha I mean I play it faster on my violin, but I still like it anywayz
i played this is the 8th grade and this song was so easy, but it was cut and i was the first chair... memories...
Amo esta maldita version :D lml
i think it nice to hear the melody slowed down for a change, i guess helpful for practicing purposes...
I can see that the cellos have a big part in this
NICE!
I am playing this song in KASTA.I am a Violinist and play 1st Violin. It's kinda hard when it's at a faster tempo. I like the slower version better.
Woow Viola`s Part Is Awesome I Really Like It
full orchestra=everything; string orchestra= strings
nice videos
I am firsy violist and am in 8th grade. this year we are playing this song and I personally think that this song and this tempo is quite fine for me:)
I played this in 7th 8th grade orchestra-I play the violin. We did a different version of this going faster than normal speed....it was fun.
we were going to play this in 7th grade but the pandemic hit in 2020 and we never got to play this but i didn’t really mind
I'm Sabrina's stepmother. Her mom is somewhere in Poland. In Poland, 5'8" is average. In a Polish city, Poles are tall.
