It's funny, when you listen to the song without the video, and close your eyes, the intro doesn't seem that long; you are mesmerized with the ominous beat and the wailing air raid siren. Then the vocals jar you from the trance, and the lyrics then transport you to a world of evil, anger and war. The song is about the perpetual war machines and governments who are willing to expend the lives of their populace to expand their power. It's easy to start a fight when you aren't the one who will lose the most or get smacked in the mouth.

I wish I could remember who said it, but a great guitar player said that every heavy metal riff has already been written by Tony Iommi. You can slow them down, speed them up, change the key, but it has already been written, Truth!

Wierd, I still remember the first time I heard this back in the 80's (rotating vinil back then) with my headphones and taking them out when the sirens start to check out trough the window to see if anything was happening in the air base near my place back then (nuclear Armageddon was a very real possibility back then).

Any live video of Engel, once you learn that all the pyrotechnics and props are made by the band itself.
I'm glad that he pointed out how great it sounds in headphones. My first time listening to Sabbath was on a borrowed 8 track through headphones on my parents stereo. I was absolutely blown away and a fan for life. The outro to War Pigs is fantastic. Geezer is doing amazing things on the bass while everyone is watching Tony riff.
This is one of the best you’ll hear. It will stay with you.
this song just gets more and more powerful as time goes by and given the story of this band and this song that is really saying something.
I just found you and I think I enjoy your reactions as much as I enjoy a well loved song.
I'm sure I'd not recognize your music choices either but I was around 6 or 8 when this came out.
You’ll love the dive into Hard Rock/Metal genre... tons of amazing, beautiful, complex and cerebral musicality and lyricism... a never ending rabbit hole that opens your mind to endless possibilities
Song was written in 1970. Still relevant today. Timeless.
The lead singer is Ozzy Osborne.. would love to see you do .. Changes ft. Kelli Osborn
I introduced my children to Black Sabbath, and thankfully they love them too. Great, great band with some great messages.
This Was Black Sabbath at their best with Ozzy, This was one of the songs that defined heavy metal in the late 60s and early 70s, it was the Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple who basically took the step from Rock to Metal
this fan-made video to the song also is a work of art. it´s genius.
This song was played for me from a friend. He and I both heard what was being said on the song lyrics. It is like from the book of Revelations. But if you see what is happening today. This is where we are. War Pigs will loose there power and will be falling to there knees. Such is coming.
This song is about Us Vr's the Elite aka, the Military Industrial Complex, War Pigs!
I wish I could remember who said it, but a great guitar player said that every heavy metal riff has already been written by Tony Iommi. You can slow them down, speed them up, change the key, but it has already been written, Truth!
We all feed War when we let a day pass in our lives without generating peace and generosity. The mighty oceans derive their power from single drops of water.
System of a Down , Rage Against the Machine !!!! Heavy message , heavy creativity
Love your reactions, mainly because of your thoughtful responses. Carry on!
7:40 headless Lady Justice is probably my favorite shot in this whole video.
And like I said I enjoy your videos, you have a very soothing voice and it’s clear when you’re hearing a song for the first time…. Keep up the good work , and Thank you
A match up I didn't realize I needed in my life until it happened was Ozzy "Ordinary Man" ft Elton John.
I was weaned on this album. I used to put the record on, sit on the carpet right next to the huge speakers, and then turn it up. Sweet Jesus, that really sent my 12-year old heart soaring, Freaking Sabbath rocked.
Very cool, I like that you are open minded to diversify your music reactions and react to them by breaking everything down and not being biased because you don’t listen to metal or rock! Also that song is from the 70’s amazing raw and pure recording. Sounds better on vinyl.
this is literally happening now in Australia and Canada, coming to the US very soon!
Might as well do iron man by Black Sabbath as well. They have lots of good songs. I’m not into real hard metal but there’s Judas Priest, Metallica, Pink Floyd, and more. Do some Queen in you haven’t already! Freddy is great.
Went back in time to watch other videos of songs I know. Good to see you react to so many phenomenal songs.
Two songs by Metallica... “one” and “the unforgiven”
Can't forget Master of Puppets. Hands down the 3 best songs ever recorded.
I would also add "Fade to Black". Just a beautiful piece of work.
For Whom the bell tolls has to be up there on their top 5
Yeah... a lot going on with this song, for sure. 52-year-old song at this time and still relevant today! Kind of important.
I think you should react to Pantera "Domination", Live in Moscow. Mind blowing.
Arguably one of the greatest rock songs of all time
Jimi Hendrix "voodoo child"
This video is a good example of artists collaborating through time. The song came out in 1970 and all the visuals is from a Film school in Germany from a short film called Motherland. Someone else edited it together. So we have this amazing journey that intensifies the meanings :)
Wierd, I still remember the first time I heard this back in the 80's (rotating vinil back then) with my headphones and taking them out when the sirens start to check out trough the window to see if anything was happening in the air base near my place back then (nuclear Armageddon was a very real possibility back then).
I remember back when I was in school. There was an air raid siren every Monday at 1 pm. The teacher would instruct us to pull down the window shades and hide under the desk, as a preparation for nuclear war. My how times have changed!
1969 I was 14 ..seen them play this '' Paramus NJ ....what a show .....,🎸 🔥
I use to listen to a lot of Pink Floyd lol another brick in the wall
One of those songs that still apply today...like " For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield, released in 1966.
Iron Maiden-Hallowed be thy name will definitely suck you into the metal genre...lol.
"This is the one that is going to suck me into your genre". Well trust me partner you aren't the first, nor the last. This is the one that got me and got me young. I've been a classic Metal Head ever since.
You'll eventually get to "Comfortably Numb" by Pink Floyd. It will be quite a treat!
Listen to ...the pros and cons of hitching. A classic
Comfortably Numb. Pink Floyd.
Bro right off the bat,I'm subscribing and liking, that big screen is it! Your only one that does that,so we can actually see instead of a tiny pic in pic.👍
Please react to Metallica Master of Puppets
Hi Hi again! .. so glad you did this one!! too many dont remember anymore. much love ♥
Watch Deep Purple Child in Time live 1970 to be really wowed 😊
This is definitely a top 250 best songs of all time
I would strongly recommend a song by Korn called Blind its great also black sabbath sweet leaf is great.
The Vietnam War was raging when I enlisted in the military. After my initial overseas deployment, I returned to the States with a different take on the conflict. Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd were turntable constants. Fifty-year-old memories came flooding back when listening to this. Thank you so much for this song and reaction. On a different note, Sweet Leaf is another side to that era.
Funny how many gullible young men can't wait to be murdered for the government, and then they get crushed mentally from the experience, and realize in horror that a they was were hired murderers for government.
Izzy nails it; soldiers are brainwashed pawns for evil megalomaniacs, nothing more.
Statetheism, hands down the most insanely deadly death-cult in all of human history. 🤦🏼♂️🤷🤮
