I just did this after a fresh install of windows. Unreal how much smoother it runs. Zenbook 11th gen i5 8GB SSD Drive, runs WAY more smoothly. I also swtiched to the brave browser, that chroms really sucks. I also did a full download of windows 10 directly from microsoft with the create custom medial tool from MS (instead of doing a factory reset with the asus windows version) I had some trouble with drivers but finally I got it all sorted out. Fresh windows from microsoft, fresh drivers (some from asus and some directly from the mf website) + debloat , unreal how smooth it runs
PS Script works amazing, just be aware if Telemetry gets disabled in corporate computers or environment will prevent computers to join to Azure and Intune. I spent many days trying to figure out why computers where not joining into Azure and Intune and after many days, found out it was due to disabling telemetry.
i am new to this but, I found your comment interesting. Where or are you able to add back "whatever" you lost so it works with Azure? or do you have to allow full blown telemetry junk 100%? thanks bruv!

Because I have many items already ticked off already, most of them starting with the word microsoft. I had done a debloating years ago, so maybe that's why they are selected already? Hummm....
"There may be some confusion, but when using the Allowlist/Blocklist, the checkmark means it is on the blocklist, and that it will be removed." this is straight from the GitHub right at the bottom under the heading "Allowlist and Blocklist" (second to last section, right before the credits)
there is no bloatware related to system security, you will be fine if you get rid of all the bloatware because there is already Windows Defender as a very powerful and good Antivirus 😁🙏

my scenerio used the gui ran the 'remove all blootware option' hit the windows restart (I don't know whether turning it off and on again and restarting it are different so i thought it would mention it just in case) logged back in all applications are identifying as new. my thinking since access was denied to the scheduled section. I think there is a scheduled task which restores the applications
It shouldn’t have interfered with any of those. It is removing windows included bloat and telemetry. Those games could be crashing due to a corrupted driver issue.

im glad i found this my laptop has good specs on it but all the bloatware from windows was just eating up 50%-60% of my cpu for no real reason after i used the script it only uses 4%-24% and it was causing my laptop to overheat as well when playing a game that needed more of the cpu. and a strange thing about my laptop it never will do a thermal shutdown for some reason i don't know why the fan will just go full blast until it cools off it never shuts down and i knew i had to do something before my cpu was toast
Trying this has had GRAVE consequences, started by not being able to change volume with mouse on taskbar, but other very terrible issues arose. I reinstalled windows and they still persist. I don't even know what to do at this point... Several core programs have sever stutters whenever the mouse is clicked. Windows update doesn't work, nothing i've tried fixes the problem including hte undo features of the debloater program.
its best if you reinstall fresh windows than update and the install revios + use bloatbox softwar, did this and from 300 + things running in background with edge it when to 78 and cpu from 70 to 12 ram from 6gb to 2.5gb with more than 20 tabs in edge you can try if you want
my files got deleted from desktop after i use uninstall onedrive and those file are not even onedrive .how do i recover them . i have one very important file in excel that i unable to recover.
I've used this in the past but recently did a system reset when I installed my new SSD. Now after using this it completely broke my windows store. Any clue as to what to do to fix it? The store will not load at all giving a error code: 0x00000194

@@ZeroRedz my user file was linked to onedrive and i didnt see it before, so when i removed onedrive, my files disappeared. I tried to get my stuff accessing onedrive on the browser, but there was barely one file :(

The saddest part is that like two days before i had done a backup of me phone pictures and deleted the pics from my phone. Now i've lost almost everything. This garbage code didn't remove any of the bloatware, in fact it put it back on. It didn't remove one drive either, I think it put it back on too. It also removed everything from my customized startmenu. I had to redo my entire startmenu. Don't use this garbage.

Maybe uninstall McAfee too... No point testing the difference after debloating if you've got stuff like McAfee installed.

You can remove those tiles in the start menu with Classic Shell. I made my Win10 machine look like win98.

Does it break any important functionality if you decide to remove all ? - i.e. critical patches/virus updates etc from M/S?
Not that I have seen. Everything works as intended.
be careful with deleting the xbox game bar, or whatever it's called.
It can cause major problems with games if it is deleted

Try to create new folder on desktop,then copy-paste there after this right-click and "run with powershell"

Right click on the GUI and choose Run on PowerShell, if not maybe powershell is unavailable in your device perhaps?
Are the boxes we check removed or the ones that are unchecked? I have to use 150% scaling just to see what's listed. 😬

Crashed drivers and deleted random files from desktop. Using pc is smooth, but all games crash or freeze. Yeah, I'm not using this ever again.
