Drew M I only do views on things that need doing. as the flywheel is a solid lump of metal bolted to the engine im not sure what you mean by "return springs" and it certainly doesn't have a cooling hose??
Hey this is an amazing video thanks for it :) I have a 2005 Dynamic 1.4 70kW Punto but the muffler seems different. Can I replace it with a standart muffler like yours and do you know the torque values of the screws ?
The exhausts are different, but the process is largely the same. As for torque values, these cars left the factory without a join in the exhaust so there are (as far as I know) no official settings for torque, basically you want the exhaust not to leak, and its not something that you should need to pull apart again, so do them up nice and tight but don't go mad with a big breaker bar and shear them off.
Hi there, I had my centre and back parts replaced by a garage but now it knocks every time I go through speed bumps, even worse if I have passengers. I checked it and it seems fine underneath, any ideas why is this happening? my old ones never did this.
Thank you, this video is very helpful. As I noticed today that on my 2001 Fiat Punto the backbox has a huge hole in it, have to replace it.
Great channel. We have a 2002 Fiat Punto and I would love to be able to fix my own car! Very helpful thanks :)
Please make more videos. I like it :)
Hi, Love the site, it has helped me no end with repairs, i am thinking about changing the clutch do you have any advice for me?
Do you have any videos on how to strip down and service or replace the high pressure diesel fuel pump on 2003 Multijet ??
Good video!
Thanks

Thanks for your reply, I'll try lower torque values if it's not enough I'll increase :)
do you know of any dual box systems available for the punto, I am looking to quiet mine down so that it is as quiet as a more modern car.

It may simply need adjustment, take it back to the garage who did the work.
Mine still leaks after doing it last week.

Diamond67 no
dont do what he did with the paste an the clamp just weld the fucker on that paste will fail within a year or 2 and you will be wishing you welded it
Questa non e' la marmitta giusta per la Punto !
luigieme sorry this doesn't translate to english and make any sense?
This isn't the right exhaust for Punto 1.2
luigieme its not a 1.2 punto however the procedure to change it is exactly the same as is the way its mounted
