If you use this mod for higher shift rpms through the gears, I'd recommend an after market Trans fluid cooler, the transmission will get WAY hotter shifting at higher RPMs consistently, causing premature 3-4 pack clutch burn. That is what the Corvette servo provides, longer band grab in each gear before it shifts, for quickest acceleration to top end speed
Very good advice Jon... Recently i bought a 2011 chevy Colorado 2.9 and started makin some upgrades to a callejero street drift truck so i upgraded the diff to posi with 4.10 gears but looking to lower maybe to 3.73 and already put a transgo hd shift kit; bought the super servo 2-4, an B&M "quicksilver" floor shifter and now looking to get a nice transmission oil cooler/efan... what more can u recommend for a 4L60e involved in a higher performance level thanx bro. 🍀🎶🍻👍
I have 1 of these Corvette piston kits coming for my 03 suburban and I have to admit I'm nervous as could be I hope it goes as well as you make it look Thanks for sharing 👍
@@CPT310 I haven't done mine yet. I have a hard shift from 1 to 2 its been that way since I bought the suburban 2½ years ago hasn't got worse or better im hoping this will help 🤞. How did it do on yours?
man nice video i wasn't sure of doing this mod and watching you and went straight to my 01 tahoe ...i have it lowered on 26'' 4/6 drop and all stock ,bore out my throttle ,cold air intake,no cats, performance muffler ebay, and dam near ever thing new on block sensors and what not and she gets up there,, Passing gear ,getting on freeway way and torque is on points ,smokes 6's like nothing now ...what yall waiting for DOOOOOOOOOOOO ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT...
the lesson to pay attention to here is.....if the clip wont go in on the outside....you don't have it on right or in all the way. When it is in all the way, theres plenty of room for the clip.
@@bonacjunk9983 was just in video, the bottom of the clip disappeared into the housing into the groove and you could see the top of the clip clear as day looking like it never made it into the groove. My servo just came in today but I work nights. Supposed to be in 90's the rest of the week on my days off so not sure I want to get out there and mess with it. Have to do a wheel bearing too...lol
@@bonacjunk9983 i just tried installing a vette servo in my Hummer last night. Everything went okay at first. The cover gave me a problem but then my shifting was all screwed up and felt like I might've did something to 2nd gear. I went to pull it all out and had to use a pipe wrench to get the cover off and it took me 2 hours to get the piston out. For some reason it was stuck. I had vice grips on the shaft and pry bar under that and finally it came out. Not sure what happened but it's not going back in that's for sure. I just had to hunt down new o-rings today. Luckily I found a tranny shop that just gave them to me. I almost think they put the wrong o-ring on the piston because it looked exactly like the cover o-ring, same color and all. The tranny shop gave me a blue and red and the red is definitely smaller than the blue. The vetter servo doesn't have any red o-ring, just the 2 blue. Either way I'm not taking chances again and need to know if 2nd gear is screwed. I just put this tranny in 3 weeks ago so I'll be pissed if it is junk.
Hello, thank you for your video. I'm struggling with that servo install. Any suggestions on how to hold pressure against the servo case while trying to install the rigid C clip?
I'm curious as to what vehicle this is on because in my 2003 Yukon there is no way you can get the servo out without having to drop the transmission or bang your floor pan in
It's an Escalade obviously. LoL. However in the vid he states that there's a body lift (didn't say how many inches) on it so that is giving more clearance room between the cab & tranny/frame.
Great positioning of the camera to show a how to install a servo. 👍

jon sorry i am late to respond to the comments, you are right it did bring the temp up need to add a bigger cooler with the corvette servo
Wow I was gonna do this on my 03 z71. I don't have an auxillary cooler at all. I guess I'll wait till I install one.

Use a pick pull the blue O ring out then the cover will come off

Love your caddy bro I got an 2004 awd black exterior with gray interior Love it just would like to do some mods to make it better and last longer
I’ve been catching hell putting my snap ring back on. Now I see that I may need a longer pry bar.
Sweet thanks man next in line is this mod
Your Escalade is sick!
thank you
I hope you watched this video because I'm pretty sure that clip wasn't in all the way.
it was in ben driving over a year fine

Do you have a part number?? Thanks for the video!!
Great footage..mine won't spin or move thought I was doing something wrong.
You can adjust the screw on your epc solenoid 1/8 turn clockwise shift much firmer
More info on this ?
How’s it performing now ?
What year of corvette trans servo did you use

Amazon
Is it easy? How long did it take you install?
That’s sick!
simple to the fact no BS excellent video
What you were missing was watching a TH-cam video that shows you how to do the job. Ie, remove the o ring to remove cap.
so will this speed up the shifts going up hill's make it move thru gears sooner ?
yes firmer faster shifts
@@bonacjunk9983 That's interesting when I installed mine, it holds each gear all the way to 5500 rpm, but that is because I get on it
Did it firm up 3-4 shift too?
sorry for late reply, yes overall firmed up all shifts but does bring trans temps up a bit recommend bigger trans cooler after this upgrade
Where do you buy this servo at ?
ebay
Does this remind anyone else of when tony starks wife was switching his heart out in iron man 1
Rattle can red full race!
Hey my name is Matt
yeah? me too. and....?
Your suppose to take a pick and cut the oring then pull it out with nettle nose plie then this video would of only taken a 1/3rd the time
Depends. I pulled mines out with the oring still attached
