I just picked one up for $300 with 4 mags. Probably hasn’t been shot in over 20 years. I cleaned and oiled and ran all 4 mags full. Ran perfectly. This thing is built like a tank. Also, you shouldn’t have to pull the trigger to remove the slide. Thanks for the video.
Midway sells OEM grips for like $39 I picked one up last year. Puerto Rico police surplus. $230. It’s been my car and EDC. Love the heft of the all steel gun. Shoots flawlessly.
New OEM grips are available cheap from multiple vendors including MIDWAYUSA where I got mine. The .38 special wadcutter model was the Model 52. The Mecgar replacement mags are 17 round and are excellent. Great gun!
My favorite autoloader handgun. Seriously sweet shooter. I don't have a stainless model tho.. hopefully my next move either that or one of those affordable hi power pistols.
great gun have one usally get smoother trigger pull from police use one of my carry rotations safety issue like it mag disconnect is good when you have kids in the home keep the mag out until you need it you have some piece of mind

Rack it back, drop the mag, bring the slide to the pin is in the notch. Remove the pin. When sliding it apart , the hammer will fall. Block it from slamming the frame. You are welcome.
Got mine from the same place. Broke it down completely, cleaned everything in an ultrasonic cleaner & polished everything. The only wear it had was slight holster wear. Eats everything I've thrown at it and is extremely accurate. And as a bonus, with it being a bit of a chunky girl , if you do happen to run out of ammo you can use it as a club🤣
These type guns are very reliable in 9mm . Not sure about the rest. I have a really old one it's a 659 made in 1987 . It's a great gun it's all stainless steel except for the mainspring housing which is aluminum. It's still weights 43 oz .
@@bobtrenholm8638 Found out today it will shoot was cutters too. I have never had a 9mm that would do that with out some kind of hangup. I had a friend load some 38 wad cutters and they worked fine in the 659.

Same here. I have lots of others but this is the one I grab when things go bump in the night. Absolutely reliable and built to last for centuries
I bought mine about a year ago - love it ! Carried much fired little ! I bought new grips and extra magazines !
I had one, then it was stolen by an electrician hired to do some work in the house. Very good accurate shooter.

That seems heavy. I Googled 38.3 oz. Is that it's loaded weight?

No it's not loaded and I have the original owners manual that says the same thing plus I weighed it myself. It was one of the very first.
The only auto pistol that will chamber empty cases from the mags. Correct me if wrong.
