My cortisol has always been super super high due to ptsd and severe anxiety and the best thing I’ve ever done has been cutting out coffee…like completely cold turkey…it was difficult for a week but my stress levels are SIGNIFICANTLY lower…decaf always now! I hope you feel better soon! Also if meditation interests you try Yoga Nidra 🙌🏻💛💛
@@PaytonSartainHH I felt the same! but decaf is just as good! you just have to make sure you look for ones that aren't chemically decaffeinated using Co2 and then they taste amazing! Same coffee ritual...just WAYYY more peace 🌈
Hi!! So I did a cortisol test not too long ago and my levels were off the chart too & had to retake it so I wanted to pass along what my naturopathic told me. Cortisol levels can be affected heavily by products you wear, including makeup, skincare, perfume, even things like toothpaste and also caffeine! So your test may have been skewed by those thing if you weren’t detoxing from them prior. Hope that helps!!
Hi Payton. Your mental health content has really helped me understand what it is that I am feeling, what I want out of life, and how to live life unapologetically. Thank you so much girl! x
Sadly, I don’t really follow one right now! So I can’t really share. When I do work out, I’ll do 12-3-30 on the treadmill (Google this!) or do an OBE fitness video (they have a website).
payton i just recently discovered your channel but i’ve never watched a creator who i’ve related to more/ agreed with/ the same opinions on EVERYTHING. and i just NEEDED to tell you that queen❤️❤️
I love your sofas. Those eggs and toasts look yummy (= great video as always. Thanks for sharing your struggles with us... very honest and relatable. Btw I love it when you cuss lol!
I have really high levels of cortisol as well (from adhd) and take natural adrenal and cortisol suppliments that have helped me immensely! You can find really affordable organic options online but obviously do some reasearch first, may not work for you but they've been a lifesaver for me- I hope that helps!! 💫 Loved your video, as always 💖
@@PaytonSartainHH For cortisol I take an herb blend with Ashwaganda and Magnesium and some other great ingredients from LES Labs. You have to be consistent with it but I noticed a huge difference in my blood work over time. For Adrenals I take an herb blend from Mary Ruths Organics with Astragalus Root, Ginkgo Leaf, and a bunch of other great natural extracts. Its been a life changer for me, but obviously everyone is different and professional medical advice is always best for everyones unique needs. I hope you find something that can bring you back into balance, my heart goes out to you. ♥️ Having high cortisol and stress bleeds into literally every area of life and is super upsetting to feel out of control with your hormones, trust me I can relate. 💔 biology is the worst and so hard to get a handle on ughhhh!!! Hate that. Keep us updated on your journey! ♥️
Hi Payton! I have PCOS so struggled for years with finding the right supplements. I have found that a combo of beef liver, turmeric, magnesium, and chromium really helps balance my hormones. Hope maybe this helps! Beef liver is for iron, turmeric is great for inflammation, magnesium for anxiety and chromium great for insulin resistance, which all together work to combat high cortisol levels!
Me with my ex MAKING me watch him play video games... Noo ma'am this is why we aren't together any more (also other things obvs.) Y'all I feel this so strongly 💁🏻♀️
Also love some Mel is nine perfect strangers.. girl add some honey onto your peanut butter sweet toast.. so freaking good! Love ya name twin 💖💖 your videos make my week fr
Just going through this also. I loooove coffee and officially cut it out completely about a month ago. It’s been a struggle (first 2-4 days it was headache galore) but I feel myself being less stressed / edgy and calmer generally. Also, try Mud Wtr! It’s a good substitute since you’ll get the “ritual” part without the jitters :) good luck and hope you feel better!
@@PaytonSartainHH it’ll be really really hard! But worth it. Also - some places offer decaf espresso. And I looooove lattes so substitute with a decaf espresso and you’ll be happy that you still can get things you enjoy ❤️
I feel the same way about the video game with my husband too. I can’t stand it when he plays it for a long time. Few hours a day, I get it. But when he takes almost all day playing video games… I get irritated hahaha
woohoo high cortisol club (mine’s GAD + adhd related)! also, your description of feeling less attracted to a man after watching them play video games was so relatable, it hurts
your videos always make me less stressed
Wow that’s the best comment I’ve ever read

I’m curious about taking the hormone test, what was it called? Do you know if you can order one on your own?

Literally "off the charts" 😉 I'm on this journey as well. I have PCOS damn if stress doesn't cause a flare!
Okay I ACTUALLY might have this too, need to check ASAP - what happens when a “flare” happens??? Need to know (if you’re cool sharing).
@@PaytonSartainHH hey girl I tried responding but it didn't go through. Maybe because it was like a.... novel. I'll try emailing you :)

Yeah NO THANKS on the watching of the video games. He needs to be in a separate room lol.
Give matcha a go, helps to control cortisol levels so it’s really good for anxiety and stress x
Omg totally about video games!!!! I feel the exact same way! It seems so childish!

Need to look into this!

It’s just like…….. not hot
Seriously drives me crazy. My ex was love that. My husband still plays some but prioritizes it after I'm asleep and our baby is asleep luckily
