Wow I loved Captain Marvel. It was full of comic references of many eras and put Carol in her place within the MCU. Also showcased her powers that’d come in hand for EndGame. But it started and ended in the 90’s. She had no memory of her life more than 80% of the film and she was young and inexperienced. But now in The Marvels it’s her 100 her since the beginning and it’s her time for personal development. #TheMarvels feels to me like Marvel Studios going back to it’s roots! The epic comic book delightful madness full filled with lots of fun. An action packed, vibrant adaptation of Marvel super hero stories, battles and emotions. Colorful and fresh. A very innovative dynamic among the characters. Fast forward to November.
I've been waiting to see Monica as a full-on superhero since the first Captain Marvel movie. I cannot wait for this! Captain Marvel spent most of the first movie “finding herself” because of a story in the comic books, where Chris Claremont got angry about an ugly forced marriage story and retcon-nuked it out of existence with the memory wipe plot. Since then, Brie has fleshed out her personality, and I like it. She dialed in exactly the right amount of Starbuck.
Are we to suspect that the blonde female in brown attacking them, is a Kree ruler and an accuser like Ronan? Carol did say she was coming to end their empire. I need to know what beef Monica has with Carol, because we got hints of disdain from Monica whenever Carol was mentioned in Wandavision from Woo and Darcy. I still stand by my theory that both Monica and Maria were attacked by enemies searching for Carol some years ago, while mother and daughter were working a mission together. I think both were blasted with space radiation weapons which began the process of awakening Monica's X gene, while giving her mother stage 4 cancer (a theme between Peter Quill's mom, who was poisoned by a Celestials and Jane who had an Infinity stone in her body) they didn't carry the gene created by the Celestials (humanoid Eternals and Deviants) in life forms they originally experimented on millions of years ago....and the Kree. Monica may hold a grudge because Carol was always too busy to come back and check on Maria after her diagnosis. Perhaps after a time, the Celestials changed their minds at experimenting on life forms and created android Eternals to get rid of what was left of the experimented Deviants in existence. I think Monica and Carol are descendants to those Eternals, like millions of humans, and Kamilla is the descendant to the ones who were experimented on by the Kree. Although Carol had her blood transfused with Kree blood, I think she didn't need it because her body already took to the reactor that Mar-vell made from the Tesseract. If Carol's body sustained and absorbed that power from the Tesseract then she has to already have the X gene. Where will Quake appear in phase 5? ...It would make sense to bring the very secret Agents left of Coulson's S.H.I.E.L.D back, plus the space android Coulson (I forget what they were called chroma something...) into the MCU, and FINALLY make them canon as the fandom has been asking for, for years now.....FEIGE!🤨 If Fury has to face super Skrulls in Secret Invasion, which could have been experimented Skrulls done by the Kree, then that's when Quake should make her introduction into the MCU, and then appear in the Marvels movie. What exactly is that space matter, that Monica touched, made of? I wonder if Monica will be able to use that power to transport anywhere, as soon as they untangle their connection from each other. Unless their connection is like the Spider woman who connects the variants by the Spider force or whatever it's called? Can't remember what she's called. Forgive me. I don't keep up with the comics. I just research videos and articles on some of what's coming as it applies to the MCU properties, occasionally. Kamala's bangel started to glow for no reason, in the end credits of her show. She looked at it as it got brighter and brighter, and then she was swapped with Carol. The woman they are fighting had a hammer staff like Ronan and had a Kree warrior standing behind her as they were coming down steps. I noticed that some of them in uniforms didn't have blue skin, nor did the woman, so I guess not all kree are blue, especially, if they were successful experiments...but she was also wearing a bangel like Kamala's. Perhaps the Kree and Kang are starting to find their lost items with beaken calls...like the 10 rings of the Shang Chi end credits scene. Since Monica can turn into the energy she instantly absorbs, maybe when she touched the jump point energy, it acted like an instant portal for the other 2 and then with Kamala's Bangel they were able to keep their own abilities when swapped...idk😅
That was British actress Zawe Ashton with the hammer (engaged to Tom Hiddleston and have a kid together) as the villain!
I believe her character's name is Dar-Benn, and she's an Accuser, like Ronan (Interestingly, Dar-Benn is male in the comics).
