    I absolutely love the way you edit your videos, the music, the drone shots, the commentary. It all just adds up to make a perfect video.

    Looks stunning! Can’t wait to get out there in our van. We visited Lewis years ago in the car but Lewis and Harris lend themselves well to a van.
    Great video 👌🏼

    I'd no idea the beauty of these islands until your vlogs. Stunning. Glad to see you managed to sniff out the gin distillery too! 😁👍

    Hi Martin and Helen,
    Just planning a trip to the Outer Hebrides in our 7. 5 m Swift and enjoying your video. Can you please recommend any good campsites on Lewis and Harris?
    Thank you,
    Angela and Tim

      Hi guys , good choice the Outer Hebs. We stayed at www.laxdaleholidaypark.com/ at Stornaway. Good site and walkable to Stornaway. On Harris - horgabostcampsite.co.uk/ - incredible location. Are you just doing Harris and Lewis , we loved North Uist and Barra and have options there if you need them. Happy travels H and M

      Great, thank you.
      We have just returned from Norway on a car tour which we wish to return with our motorhome. Many great sites, and fabulous roads.

    Great opening drone shot. What drone do you have? We did the OH in the opposite direction to you in 2022. Rain at the top, sunshine and turquiose seas to the south. Thanks you for your video.

      It's an amazing place isn't it ,one of the stand out places we have visited. That was shot with a DJI Mavic Air 2 . Thanks very much for watching and commenting , best wishes Helen and Martin

    Your travels are making me jealous, I love the OH and we're heading out there in a few weeks.
    If you have time while still on Lewis and Harris try to get to Huishinish, there is a community site there with hook ups and waste emptying. Right at the end of a stunning fourteen mile single track road.

      Thanks for the tip we'll remember Huishinish for next time , we'll definitely be back we loved Harris. Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin

      Hi Peter - no it’s just an Air 2 - I’m hanging on for certified drones now before I change again. That new Mavic Pro 3 is tempting though.🤔. Thanks very much for watching.

    Hi H & M . I have a Moho similar to yours 7.5 m in length gross weight 4T . Did you have to book your crossing direct with the port as it is classed as a commercial vehicle . Thanks Steve

    • @helenandmartinsTreks
      @helenandmartinsTreks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steve , we just rang and booked via Calmac Booking Number on the website at the departing port and told them our length etc . Really easy process. Hope that helps Helen and Martin

    I think the land past the McLeod stone is actually Taransay island from the documentary with Ben Fogle in.

    Do you intend making any videos of what its like living in an A class motorhome cooking, sleeping finding parking etc?

    • @helenandmartinsTreks
      @helenandmartinsTreks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We might in the future , we do love being in the bus. There is a channel called Life Beyond Bricks who live in an A Class ( Tash and John) who have done some of this and another which is not an A Class but full timers that have done some excellent work about the subjects you raised called John and Mandy on Tour - th-cam.com/channels/FcfBrwRNNkvyYKXxZ4HH1g.html . We have been thinking about what to publish during the winter before we move to Europe again after Christmas so we will give it some thought. Thanks for watching best wishes Helen and Martin.

    Why to English tourist feel that they have to fly their countries flag above their campers/vans? Is it to annoy the local indigenous population ? I don’t get it 🥺

    • @helenandmartinsTreks
      @helenandmartinsTreks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Beats me Fred , we are out in Spain at the moment and flags from every country are on display , all home nations and European Nations . National pride I guess, not something we get involved in, but each to their own I guess.

    • @KryptonitetoallBS
      @KryptonitetoallBS ปีที่แล้ว

      You're far more likely to see a nations flag on a Scot's, Welsh or Irish van than an English. Whether we like it or not the reason is National pride!!
