I think you have been extremely lucky with the weather. To make an epic journey from the South and find paradise in the Western Isles is rare as it is very often bleak. Hats Off to both of you for bringing this into my life, it's almost quite spiritual...
When working on Benbecula my favourite walking island was North Uist. Wonderful beaches for swimming and cliffs with nesting fulmar. The sea foam at Scolpaig in a storm was impressive! There are standing stones and chambered cairns. Otters and Golden Eagle too! There was no caravan park at Balnarald then, just a rough track and the bird reserve.
Thank you for another video reminding me of the time I was there. One thing that struck me was that your vehicle is bigger than my car, so good views all around. Also it would be better with two people to share the driving. One eye on the road, the other on the views. So much is missed when you have to do all the driving. Thank goodness for drone shots. ilona
Thank you for your comment. Glad you enjoyed the video, the Outer Hebrides is such a lovely place to be.The drone I use is the DJI Mini 3 pro, small and very light weight (250gm), easily fits into my camera bag.
We toured Scotland and the outer Hebrides during an 8 week tour in April and May last year. It was the best holiday we’ve ever had and simply fell in love with Scotland. Thanks for taking us back there 👍🍻
Weve done a few of the Islands and seen a load of vlogs ,but yours is by far the best depiction and some brilliant editing,,Were of to Uist and Barra next month BTW
We really enjoyed watching these videos, have never been so lovely to see what its like there. You probably alreayd found out but I think the orange flowers are Crocosmia.
Thank you for your comment. If you get an opportunity to go to these wonderful Islands, you will not be disappointed. Thanks for telling us the name of the lovely orange flowers.
What a lovely video thank you.. and especially showing a map .. because living on far away continents we dont always know where these islands or locations are.. ❤
As a retired pro photographer I've loved watching this series. You certainly have a natural 'eye' when it comes to composition. As a fellow motor homer who's been to the Outer Hebrides I feel that you really have captured the magic of the islands. Our van is almost identical to yours (Elddis Accordo 105 Prestige) and there's an image at 13:45 which stopped me in my tracks. If I'd taken it of our van, I'd have it in a 24"x16" frame above my fireplace, just stunning. You've got nice balance, not too much drone footage (which I feel can get boring) nice music which isn't out of place and no annoying voice over with descriptive graphics. Perfect for viewing on the TV with glass in hand. I hope that the islands remain unspoilt. You were very fortunate with the weather. Thank you for posting, I'll certainly be watching them again. I feel another visit coming on!
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such encouraging comments, it is appreciated. We have been photographers for many years but this is our very first attempt at videography so we value your observations. We are glad you enjoyed the series.
@@touringforlife9806 Wonderful first attempt, I've never tried videography, made many videos using stills and Proshow Producer going back 10 years or so. So satisfying when it all comes together. I don't know how you're going to top the Outer Hebrides as a subject! Good luck, looking forward to your next project. No pressure 🤣🤣
Thank you so much for commenting and we are glad you like the videos. Ooops didn't notice the spelling error...that one slipped through the net unfortunately, sorry.
Tight little island whwredidthe Ship SS Polititian go aground ? On or near Erisky ? Dumping a great load of Scotch Whisky bound for the U.S. Compton MacKezie’s book Whisky gGalore. My daughter has friends on Barra who grandparents told them of this bit of island history 😊
I am have watched part 1-3 by now... It seems you were extremely lucky with the weather up to this point. May I ask what time of the year you were there? What temperatures did you encounter? We are planning to go 2025 beginning of May!
Thank you for watching, we hope you enjoyed the videos. We travelled end of August into early September. The locals informed us the weather had not been good before we arrived but the sun came out upon our arrival, so yes we were extremely lucky with the weather. Apart from a few cloudy days whilst we were on the Isles of Uist we had sunshine most of the time. I can't say it was particularly hot but it was warm enough for shorts and tee-shirts!
When you stop at cafe or restaurants and campsites you should mention the prices so people can be warned of the ridiculous prices some of these places charge.
Thank you for your comment. Our one regret is that we did not allow enough time to fully explore this wonderful Island.... on our next journey to the Outer Hebrides we hope to do it justice!
Your choice of music makes this landscape all the more majestic (if that's even possible). 🥰
Thank you.
And to think we have all this within the UK magical
Respect for the things in life that really matter ❤
Really magical! Some incredible skies, and amazing views from the drone. Keep them coming!
Alba mo chridhe ❤ Respectful tourists/people please. Too many however will spoil the magic.

We were so lucky with the weather, especially on the Isle of Barra with the blue skies.

I drive the van and keep it on the single track roads, Barb does the videoing and also admires the beautiful scenery!
Lovely production and really enjoyed that. Thank you so much for sharing it. May I ask what drone do you use please ?

So Compton MacKenzie is buried on Barra
Beautiful film of my favourite place in the world. Please just correct your spelling of Benbecula(No r).. Fantastic series.

Thinking more for the locals who are already hard pressed with the inflated prices of all commodities as it is
Les fleurs orange sont sans doute des crocosmia.
Thanks for letting us know the type of flower.

Really? They’re not any worse than anywhere else… 🤷♀️
If you can’t afford it, don’t do it
A cut above other video attempts
Sure is - nice editing, relaxing music... very nice indeed
I gave thumb up, but you should really show Uist historic places, not just roads and beaches, we can see that on every Hebridean photo

whats the stupid noise for ?
Cordia Centers
Benbecula, not Benbecular.
Yes this has already been pointed out to us....sorry for the mistake.
