Ah thanks, your comment is very much appreciated. We’re glad you enjoyed the video. In part 3, which should be uploaded some time next week, you will be able to see the tweed being made as we were lucky enough to see two operators demonstrate the process to us. Thanks for watching and keep safe. Irvine & Karen.
The Island of Harris was absolutely beautiful. It was all we had imagined and more. Luskentyre Beach has to be up there with one of the best in the world for sure. Hope you enjoy the video.
Well what lovely video last time me and my wife up on Outer Hebrides 18 years ago we are going back next year 2025 some think about it so lovely. Any way keep the video coming.
@@robertirving5293 Hi Robert, thanks for your kind comment. We’re glad you enjoyed the video. Enjoy the Outer Hebrides when you get back. Keep safe. Irvine & Karen.
Thanks Janet. We were very lucky on this trip as we had fantastic weather for ten days solid. The beaches on Lewis & Harris were gust so beautiful. Hope you guys are well.
Hi Thomas, thanks for your kind comment. We’re glad you have enjoyed our video. Harris was absolutely beautiful and the beaches there would rival any other beaches around the world. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment. Keep safe. Irvine & Karen.
A stunning piece of footage of an amazing place that I was lucky enough to call home twenty years ago for a couple of years before ending up the other side of Glasgow Airport from Renfrew. Those beaches are out of this world and there is an urban myth on the islands that the Thai Tourist Board use shots of that beach in their literature to encourage visitors to Thailand. The first time I saw Luskintyre when the tide was out I had to stop and as I was on my own I had to phone a friend and try and put into words what I was seeing. You certainly got the weather and a perfect crossing though that is always an easier crossing even in inclement weather as you remain within the lee of the land for longer hence a bit more shelter for the passage. I must return someday to catch up with the people I will always call friends.
Thanks for your comment John. Luskentyre Beach is stunning and it wouldn’t surprise me if other countries use shots of it to attract tourists to their country lol. We were so lucky with the weather too which made the trip truly magical. Thanks for watching. Irvine & Karen.
Beautiful , stunning , there’s really not much to compare to the Outer Hebrides. Well filmed Irvine and full marks for the dexterity in opening a can of coke with one hand while filming with the other 😂. We were retracing some of our steps watching this , it was joyful. Thanks very much best wishes Helen and Martin.
Ah thanks guys, your comment means a lot. Glad you enjoyed the video. We watched the videos of your trip to the Outer Hebrides and got a lot of inspiration from them. We’ve been to Barra and the Uists etc many many years ago when we had a caravan but have it on the list to do in the motorhome for sure. I would have loved to have had a nice cold beer with the boys on the beach but the Diet Coke was the next best thing. It’s amazing what you can do with one hand when you’ve got the camera in the other 😂😂😂 Keep safe and happy travels.
Thanks for your comment Alex it's much appreciated. Yeah we were very lucky with the weather for sure. Glad the Mcadam clan enjoyed the video. Irvine & Karen.
Hey✋ your new subscriber 😊 i really enjoyed watching your video... it's so interesting video...i loved this beautiful view😍so lovely place wow...god bless you guys... enjoy your day 💕
You definitely need to go as it’s absolutely stunning. We were there on a 10 day trip and had the most amazing weather so were very lucky. There are loads of camping spots through the Harris Trust between £5 and £15 per night in the most beautiful of spots. You would love it. Take care guys. Irvine & Karen.
Many thanks for your kind comment Paul it’s much appreciated. We couldn’t have picked a better time as the weather was fabulous which allowed me to get the drone up etc. Glad you enjoyed the video. Irvine & Karen.
Hi Craig, yes she knows her stuff when it comes to Geology. We have been to the Giants Causeway and the Island of Staffa which was attached to it millions of years ago.
We have to agree with you Jimmy regarding this campsite but we have also been to many beautiful campsites in Scotland so they’re not all the same. Hope you enjoyed the video though.
Looks beautiful, I especially enjoyed seeing all the tweeds ❤

We’ve seen many stunning beaches around the world and the beaches on Harris are up there among the best. Breathtakingly beautiful.
Stunning - Scotland at its best.

That beach is amazing
Isn’t it absolutely beautiful. Thanks for your comment.
Great video. What a wonderful place. We’ve been thinking about the Outer Hebrides but weren’t sure. Defo on the list now. Thank you x

Absolutely jaw dropping scenery, I'm about to book the ferry for the end of September, after school hols , amazing, thank you for sharing.

Was there no temptation to go for a wee swim ? It looked amazing 🏴
Not for Karen, Janette or me but Karen's brother Ian went in for a swim. The beaches were stunning.
Hi
What time of year did you visit. Thanks
Hi Neil, we visited in June last year and were very lucky to have the most amazing weather. Irvine & Karen.
You will have to let Karen loose on The Giants Causeway 😁👍
Hi Craig, yes she knows her stuff when it comes to Geology. We have been to the Giants Causeway and the Island of Staffa which was attached to it millions of years ago.
@@motorroamingaround Staffa is on my list, just need a wee boat 😁👍🏴
Can anyone please tell me how I can get here from London
You can either fly to Stornoway on the Island of Lewis or you can drive to Ullapool or Uig (on Skye) and take a ferry.
@@motorroamingaround ok thankyou
@@lyricg8117 You’re very welcome.
The reply above is not correct. You must walk. It's the only way.
@@iainb9277 long walk though 😂😂😂
What a terrible poor quality camp site. Very typical of the quality standard on offer in Scotland. One reason why I wouldn’t visit ever again.
