This might be the phone that gets me back into Android… and this is coming from an iPhone 15 Pro Max user. Google finally delivered this time around. I’m here for it!
Sir were you considering battery backup, chipset power of managing multitasking, fast charging, camera quality etc features also ? As you mentioned iPhone 15 Pro Max user felt you are the right person to ask about these points 😊
@@dibidibadibidibou The most important one is OneDrive integration. I use OneDrive on my PC all the time. Samsung's gallery app can sync to my OneDrive storage to display all photos I have saved. And being able to use my Spen is such a cool thing to have! I could probably go without the Spen, but the OneDrive integration is what's keeping me tied to Samsung.
The status bar icons aren't aligned with the new front punch hole being positioned lower with Pixel 9. But some marketing materials do seem to show aligned icons so I suspect that this will be fixed with Android 15.
Considering they both have the same battery capacity, the pixel 9 may slightly outlast the 9 pro in battery life due to the higher resolution & refresh rate in the 9pro
@@asianstud7 they don't differ as much as you think. They are basically the same phone with perfectly same hardware. The pro just has a bigger and a bit different screen + a better camera and that's mostly it.
@@jamestaleporos9794 I also think it's just going to blend in to any case you slap on it. Pretty much going to be sitting flush and won't be as noticeable/sticking out.
The main difference for me is in the front camera of both the devices. The 9 pro got 50 MP camera, whereas the 9 only got 10.5 MP. Im sure the difference won't be huge, but it does play with your mind while choosing the device that you're going to use for the next 2 years, if not less.
@@gujakis4688 not really. When the iPhone changed its main sensor in their 15 series; from 12 MP to 48 MP, I saw a huge difference in picture quality. I had an iphone 15 plus and it took better pictures than anything launched by the Apple in the past. Better night photography is a bonus with the bigger sensors. People tend to believe that MP aren't a big deal, but it changes everything. It changes the quality, zoom, HDR, video recording, light hitting the sensor, low light photography and much more. Sure I could be wrong about so many things and it's fine, I could always unlearn them.
Ordered my P9PXL day one. Can't wait for it but I'm REALLY hoping the thermals on this phone are better than my 7 Pro. That sucker runs hot and gets thermal warnings quite frequently when I'm in the car (out of direct sunlight)
Ive had the 7 and the 8pro which im on now and the screen after 8 months started getting a pink line and sometimes the screen goes green and then comes back. I have to bend my phone just a little to get it to stop. Been going on for 4 months now. With that being said. I would get another one but i dont know if i can trust it. Never had those issues with a samsung. But the phone runs faster than the samsung imo
It looks cool. Honestly never thought of getting a google phone until now. I’m still not a fan of google’s themes they have though it makes me throw up even though they look okay. I don’t know why i just can’t get used to it.
I think I'm actually going to make the jump from Samsung to one of these. Not sure if I'm going to grab the XL or the regular pro though. The XL seems slightly smaller than my s21 ultra but I don't mind owning something a bit smaller than my current phone. I never wanted a bigger phone but every once in awhile I do wish my phone was a little smaller so that's where the regular 9 pro is on my radar but I can't make my mind up. Also working with T-Mobile they actually have some pretty darn good deals I think
i will keep using samsung because it is the only big brand that has call recording, i will stick to the korea version. unlike apple and google that do not have this option.
I've watched many performance tests and battery drain tests. The tensor chip on google Pixel phones is mediocre at best. Geekbench test shows that. It has a huge battery but it drains faster than other smaller battery phones. I hope they fix their chip. It's a beautiful phone with nice color choice and design. I believe it supports up to 7 years of OS updates, which is insane. But the processor is painfully lacking.
Google came out swinging this year, and the only area they fall behind is in the chipset, and I'm sure in the coming year/s they'll match the snapdragon chipsets
In India we only get Pixel9 with 12 gb Ram and don't get the pro version and get directly proXL with 12 gb Ram. I would want all the varieties to get launched!!
This might be the turning point where Google dominates Android... Only thing i need is to take off the hard reset when phone is off. That way if lost phone or stolen phone , it will be a brick.. that's one thing i like about iphone
The best looking phones i have ever seen.
S10 too
looks exactly like a 15 pro with different cameras and running android

Damn, I would've love a "Winter green" for the 9 Pro
You can pick a "wintergreen" case though, same color, perfect with the pixel buds lol
Same 😢
@@okeoke4697 I hate those cases, they break easily.
the non-pro almost always gets all the fun colors for some reason

Me too....the design, height ... everything seems to be perfect
Yes, I agree. I’m loving all of it. I just wonder if I can really make that switch.
Same I love the design
No dont buy this phone! Wait for pixel 10 will be probably much better in chip

Stock Android is so beautiful. But I can't leave Samsung because of the OneUI features I can't go without.
Only thing i miss on my pixel is Bixby routines else nothing
Which features you talking about asking as s23 user
Curious to know what features you have on Samsung but not Pixel

The hazel is so good✨
Considering they both have the same battery capacity, the pixel 9 may slightly outlast the 9 pro in battery life due to the higher resolution & refresh rate in the 9pro
The pro has better higher quality battery cells for sure
Both 9 and 9 pro have 120hz panel and 9 pro have Ltpk Panel so it saves more battery than Basic Display of 9

@@zercfulthe pro does not have a bigger screen. It’s the same size
I don't know how to feel about the big camera bump that's offset from the top
Pretty much the same size bump as the 8, just looks bigger because it's not integrated into the side rails
@@jamestaleporos9794 I also think it's just going to blend in to any case you slap on it. Pretty much going to be sitting flush and won't be as noticeable/sticking out.
It's actually great because when you put the phone down it doesn't wobble from the asymmetrical camera positioning like all other phones.
Best comparison video yet!
Missed out that the front facing camera is drastically better on the pro too
The camera pump is impressive, even though MKBHD doesn't like it =))
That nugget?
MKBHD isn't your doctor who saves your life. Who gives a fuck what he likes or don't. You're spending money so it's you who matter. 🤷

Probably the best looking phone I've seen this generation.
how about the heating issue and finger print did they fixed it?
The fingerprint scanner is now ultrasonic
Perfectly sized and clean..beautiful
Ditto re the matte back finish. I appreciate the videos, Tim.
So amazing look and solid build..
What about the selfie camera?
Missed a few differences; vapor chamber, front facing camera, thermometer and wireless charging speed.
I never thought of buying a pixel phone, but this one... Not only Pro model, but the rest do look interesting. Ngl, im really impressed 👌🏻
What will they do with 16 gigs of ram on phone
My notebook has that much
I’m curious why nobody talks about the wired and wireless charging speed.

are Screen SIZE and FRAMES different? i hope yes

Do they have a 9 ultra or something with a bigger screen
Same battery in the 9 pro but it has better hardware. Does that mean the 9 has better battery life?

Google's industrial design is disgustingly good✨
9 and 9 pro are 120hz. Video is incorrect
Great but whats the weight difference????? 🤔
nice, my next want list
I have Google pixel 4a5g I wish I can buy it one day 😢
You're also missing the better front facing camera on the 9 vs the Pro
I want this phone very badly.
Very big fan of this pixel phones.
But can't afford it 😔
I have pixel 6a ,is pixel 9 smaller?
No
The phone looks good ..with great specs ...
That selfie hole puch size tho😂

Great phone bro
It appears that this time Google clearly emerge as winner with 9 series
Love it❤
Did pixel launch pixel 9 pro ??? When we can see the pixel 9 pro in market did they launch pixel 9 pro globally???? Pls tell
Also the front camera is different
Why displays look so different on both devices! Pro's display is slightly dull/yellow.
I don't understand why they make two versions of such a beautiful phone
If i would ever switch from apple I’d definitely go for google.
How I wish I could afford that
Hate the camera mass, I ordered the 9 pro but not a fan of the bump at ll
I don't know why but when im buying a phone i always choose the black one 😂
My pixel 4 bricked in the middle of Travelling then my pixel 8 started to display a green haze, again, in the middle of trip.

those screen are showing pink and green when they should be displaying bright & neutral 6500K white, awful calibration

I will wait if samsung don't impress me with s25 I'm switching to pixel ..
For those wondering my s23 and s24 has like literally zero difference

I BARELY UTILIZE FULL 6GB RAM OF MY PHONE
AT THE END OF THE DAY IT'S A PHONE NOT A LAPTOP
processor performance compare to snapdragon and bionic is very low 😢
pro has vaper chamber
Am I the only one who didn't like that big punch hole and it's position?
i like the design i think most people would too
