🔥💯🔥…Free for all loyal day One NI customers especially those of us that been buying these products…Maschine Studio owner and MPC etc…Correct this issue!…Great Video Bro! 🔥
Thanks for your video addressing many customers concerns about price of the new NI Plug-ins. Native Instruments has been known to offer vouchers to its customers and I believe this would be a way to encourage sales for the products already owned while retaining customers to purchase more with the vouchers. It’s also an easy fix for those who just purchased the plugins at full price, to email vouchers towards future sales. It’s fair for everyone at the current $30 price to offer $5 or $10 for more NI products and not limited to their Akai partnerships! If you deeply look at it, the MPC ecosystem is not to scale that of Apple or various PC companies; therefore, the need to recoup coding for the MPC efficiently to match the PC version for ease of use for the consumer. All in all, this is a great move to invite a new group of users to the MPC platform expanding beyond hip hop into electronic dance, etc. This will continue to support the MPC for all of us in the future. I am grateful that my MPC LIVE from 2019 is still relevant today with the FREE updates spanning years of development.
I agree 100% Native Instruments already offers Loyalty Pricing for its existing customers. Although I am purchasing to use in the MPC I am still an existing customer who already own some of these plugins and in that situation I believe that Loyalty Pricing is warranted.
I'm and MPC user new to native instruments and I have friends who have purchased a couple of then already and they even said it would be nice to receive some kind of discount just saying
@@ruffnrede2 if you are new to Native I think the pricing is very fair. I just think it should be discounted for people who already use native instruments and already own the same plugins.
For those who don't get it - it's a comparison to the way Akai do things. When they release a plugin it works for desktop and standalone for one price. Previously NI have never made things for standalone, but now they've started (for a different platform) it raises the question of whether they intend to carry this forward and charge separately for Maschine+ plugins (assuming they do start releasing for desktop and standalone on their own platform).
I agree in general. If the MPC is a different architecture I can understand a charge to get plugs for a 2nd platform, but it should be minimal to cover porting costs for existing owners. Existing customers are your best marketing tool so don't upset them making them pay full price for a second platform.

Be patient Native Instrument guys. They can make this up by making a standalone version of The Komplete collection in maschine plus or the maschine plus successor. Something is going on especially if they are secure enough to collab and make the play series available for another platform sometimes it signals something even more significant available for their own platform.
I agree offering bundled licensing would have made more sense for this considering this is exclusive to the MPC. The most pricey things are the expansions which no one seems to be barking about those are 39 a piece. I love the expansions they sound amazing and to be honest I have used software converters in the past to port over my own existing expansion packs to mpc format. I was shocked to see this partnership... it was like ok.... now I don't have to spend hours messing around with that converter tool and trying to make it look right on my Force. LOL!!
The Akai expansions have a fancy new graphic for MPC that Machine and there own plugins dont have, that's interesting the effort they went to on that. You don't get the other brands plugins free if you already own them on a different platform on MPC either and it's a Licence issue.
Sup GettoStyles, nice take and hope you are doing well. I felt the $30 price on them was fair. Especially due to the limitations of the MPC being able to process the sounds. The other thing is that they were built from the ground up. Compared to the pricing on Akai’s other instrument plugins, maybe NI should’ve made its pricing more clear showing that the $30 is heavily discounted. But that’s my take. I own them and bought all 3 but im not trippin. $120 is nothing to say thank you for doing this partnership, we as the market need to support this heavy especially if we want this to continue. Im sure this took time and a lot of effort which in my opinion needs to be rewarded.
I think $30 is a fair price also if you don't already have that original plugin from Native instruments that costs $49. If you don't already have it then $30 is absolutely a fair price and I am not mad at that at all. I just don't like the idea of having to pay a full price again to use in in the MPC. I equate it to something like Akai coming out with the new Multibank Filter and you buy it only works in CONTROLLER MODE and the only way to use it in Standalone is to buy it a second time... I don't think it should work like that. I don't feel that existing users who own it should have to pay that same price.

If I upgrade it TODAY my upgrade price is $499 or $500. That is a $1300 price difference because I already own it.
@@GhettoStyles true, I agree in part with that, for a software product that spans all DAWs I can agree with that. For NI to achieve getting their plugins to work on MPC however, they had to get a team of developers together, remap all the samples according to Akai’s software/hardware/standards, redesign the UI, and remake every preset one by one with Akai’s available FX. So technically speaking, it’s not the same product, it’s a completely different product. I designed a guitar expansion (All Out AMPD) for MPC, im also about to put out a plugin version. As a person would owns Komplete 15 Ultimate, I really shouldn’t have to pay for a play series instrument again! NI needs to do right by their customers, so many of us have left the maschine platform and moved to MPC because of their lack of support. Feels like another $ grab and if it’s not fixed, I will never support NI again!
I def agree with this and hope they do cause I knew I wanted the plugins and already paid but I’m like I already have the two I bought. But wish I didn’t have to pay twice.
Of course akai has something to do with the pricing. It’s a partnership. Why would akai help NI? This is a strategic move for both companies: NI gets more exposure from MPC users and Akai gets to answer the call for better tools integrated. Neither is tryna do a favor for the other. I have m+ and frankly I think everyone is being a baby about this. It’s a new product. It’s competing companies. If you need stand alone access to NI tools on akai, pay up.

@ I hear ya, but it’s a business world too ya know? Both these companies are risking something by giving more exposure to the other, both companies invested time and money to make it happen too.. just kind of the reality of the situation. I feel you I just also get why they are charging, and I do think it’s both.
@ Again. I'm not saying the plugins should just be flat out free specially if you don't already own it. I'm saying it should be free or discounted for the people who do. Not everyone coming from the MPC to Native Instruments for these plugins are new to Native Instruments and for the people who are return customers that already owns these plugins they should be free OR their should be some kind of loyalty pricing for them like every other Native Instruments plugins or bundles.
Don't agree, the coders need to feed families too. Different platform, different costs. Plus they are already losing money handing out MPK bundles to previous owners. Their target was for MPC users, not NI users, who also own MPC. They might not have thought it completely through, but still, I don't agree with this take. Seriously, is there gonna be a boycott over $29/$39 plugins/expansions ? C'mon now.
@@IsshmanGarcia the target is MPC users. You are correct but does that mean people who already own it should e penalized to have to buy it again? In addition to that if they make this available to the Maschine+ users should they also have to pay for it again? Should you have to pay again to use it in FL Studio or Logic? Cubase? Studios One? Giving away small bundles doesn’t hurt them. It brings more potential long term customers into the fold which increases profits. This deal probably has already made NI millions. They aren’t going to starve.
I feel the pain, but still don't agree. Yes, if they release for ANY other NI platform, it should be free or discounted as usual, but it's currently on a whole different architecture - AKAIs platform, so it has to be paid for. Would you agree if your boss (9-5 job) came in and said, listen we are going to do a project with our main competitor, it's gonna be big...but I can't pay you for any hours you work on this project? Free is nice, but not at the expense of the coders, project manager etc and the sleepless nights they've been through coming up with this. I speak facts. To many it seems that this is easy, but I code, and believe me, it is nowhere as simple as it is being made out to be. Bottom line, I respectfully disagree. I personally think it's potentially putting NI off to be consumer friendly. If people are complaining about cheap plugins, how will they react when they actually have to pay for more expensive future products. Sorry for the long-winded response.
@ you expect me to think hourly or contracted employees aren’t getting paid because something has a sale or a discount? That’s ludicrous. I also create digital products. Once the work is done there is no more overhead and it is 100% profit from there. Those developers have already been paid and will continue to be paid over the long run. A sales doesn’t hurt them one bit when they are gaining a massive user base.
@ I have Komplete Ultimate Collectors Edition. It is $1800. If I upgrade it to a newer version with new instruments and sample packs it is a $1300 discount. With NI’s Loyalty Pricing. As someone who already owns some of these plugins it should be subject to the same Loyalty Pricing. People new to NI and don’t already own these plugins should have to pay full price but not people who already own it.
@@justonbrazda3846 I think discounted could also be appropriate similar to an upgrade fee which is usually nowhere near the full cost of the product. I would not be mad at that.

That said, I would agree that a discount would be fair because I'm sure it didn't cost that much to create the MPC versions, but MPC users aren't ENTITLED to free or discounted versions of the expansions just because they bought Kontakt versions.

The ones I already own do not work in Standalone in the MPC unless you purchase it again...
I definitely hope they do fix this. I think this is a very good partnership outside of this issue.
I def agree with this and hope they do cause I knew I wanted the plugins and already paid but I’m like I already have the two I bought. But wish I didn’t have to pay twice.
@@THEKINGOCAESAR I think that would be a great gesture for people that already support
Interesting take
@ I’m just happy to see the platforms starting to come together more. This is a win for the consumers overall, even if you gotta pay to play.
@@NGC1986 I think it is a win as well however some of these instruments that we have to pay for just doesn't seem fair if we already paid. I own Komplete Ultimate Collectors Edition. At full price it is $1800. If I upgrade it today to a different version the upgrade price is $500 which is a $1300 price difference. I can go get a whole Maschine+ for that price AND upgrade Komplete. Not to mention some of these Play Series Instruments are now being offered FOR FREE on Native Instruments website -> www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/play-series/analog-dreams/
Ooo dam I gotta pay for what I have already 🤦🏾 AGAIN … freaking idiots
Also, those MPK bundles are big. Massive X, Richenbacher Bass...that's a few 100 dollars alone and there's much much more.
Discounted? No. Free. Bottom line. They’ve already been paid for.
@@justonbrazda3846 I think discounted could also be appropriate similar to an upgrade fee which is usually nowhere near the full cost of the product. I would not be mad at that.
So if you buy The Godfather Trilogy on DVD you think you're entitled to a free copy on Blu Ray?
@@dugnice The Godfather DVD set is an actual physical product that requires materials, manufacturing, distribution, and shipping.... These are digital products that don't require any of that. There is no cost once that product is made and it is 100% profit.

But it WASN'T free for them to create a custom version for the MPC platform. Someone had to create the UI and make sure that everything worked properly and that person had to be paid. So it's only right that MPC users, even if they already own a copy of the Kontakt versions to pay for the MPC versions.
That said, I would agree that a discount would be fair because I'm sure it didn't cost that much to create the MPC versions, but MPC users aren't ENTITLED to free or discounted versions of the expansions just because they bought Kontakt versions.
@ Blu-ray offers an upgraded resolution.
I have no native Instrument... But after this i will not support ni for their greedy move.. i will not buy any vst or pack of ni until they gave you a Discount or for free..
@@Mukomaclan Native Instruments has some of the best sounds and libraries on the market. If you are new to Native Instruments it’s worth trying I just don’t think it is totally fair for people who already own their products.
I am sure they will lose sleep
@@GhettoStyles yes Sounds are good, but i dont Support greedy behavior...i can live without ni
