How do i study smarter for graduate pure mathematics

That's probably a bit out of my depth of expertise, but all of the same learning principles apply. Try to evaluate the concepts as much as you can and ask your lecturers for help. Often, the answering questions aspect of graduate maths is harder, so expose yourself to that difficulty and experiment with different variations of how concepts can be used!
