Aldis' have been in the U.S. since the 70's but on the east coast only. On the west coast specifically southern California, we've had Trader Joe's which was bought by the Aldi family in the 70's. Only in about the last decade has Aldi expanded to the west.
I have decided what I like most is competence. These two are so competent. They think of everything, keep everything. I could learn a few things from them, even a parking garage is an obstacle for me, lose ticket, can't remember where car is parked etc.
So glad Eva recommended subscribing to you! Loving your vlogs and personalities! Going to gradually make my way through from the beginning of your vlogs too, so have a lot to catch up on!
Hello Friends . . glad you made into Mexico . . glad you met new friends who are very knowledgeable of Mexico . . proceed w/caution take care continued safe travels ❤️🙋♀️
The Rain For Rent part gave me a chuckle! They truck in tankers full of water usually to construction sites to spray for dust management. You were correct about the radiator water. High altitude, temperatures, and grades are a triple threat, and some folks don't understand just how much more work it is for the engine to run air con on top of all that. That was definitely a coyote that crossed the road! 😬😬 They generally keep their distance from humans, but get braver if small animals are around to prey upon. My God, that bus driver does not win the Mister P. Safe Driver award!!! 😱😱😱 The lean on that rig as they yanked it back into the right lane to avoid an accident! Those poor passengers. My heart was in my chest! But the sunset that welcomed you guys into Encenada calmed me right down, along with the waves lapping at the beach. ¡Bienvenido a Mexico!
It was certainly some drive !! Coyote, crazy bus drivers and sunsets - we are so happy to share all of it with you and yes he deffo does not win the Mr P award !! 👍
Great timing going into Ensenada, w/ that sunset. If you later go north back into California, above/beyond a mountain pass just-north of LA, the 5 and 99 highways split. Take the 99 to Visalia and go east, to the General Sherman Sequoia tree. The girth & height of these trees makes you feel like an ant. Oldest tress in the entire world (or USA). God-bless, you seem to represent the Brits quite well.
I live in Visalia! Highly recommend Hwy 198 to Sequoia National Park then the Generals Highway to Kings Canyon National Park for more Sequoias and then Hwy 180 back down to Fresno. Yosemite is great but usually very crowded May to the end of September.
I've been to Baja California many times and throughout Mexico in 1960 and 1968 on camping road trips with occasional stops at hotels. Dad loved Mexico. We went in 1968 to see the Mexico City Olympic Games which was tons of fun - we stayed in family truck cab-over camper in an RV park. All over we stayed in parks, on beaches and only had a few minor hiccups - glad Dad had insurance and spoke Spanish well enough to be fine with various officials.
Welcome, for a short time at least, to my home of San Diego. I look forward to your adventures in mexico and can't wait to see you come back to the USA. Much love for a safe and magnificent journey.
Hi there. I started watching your adventures when you were backpacking in Central America. Love your can do attitudes, and humour. Sorry we missed you last summer in northern BC and Yukon. Another place, another time. 🌴 👋🏻
Hello Ambassadors How nice that is, everyone is in love with Trudy. I am telling you folks, when all is done Trudy must serve as a museum piece. Stickers will tell the story of the years he and you have been through. Love from FT. Pierce 💕💕🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷

Wow how dare they keep you for long at the border! Mexico these guys are amazing so look after them please. Take care you three. Looks lovely however and that sunset 👌👌 can’t wait when you drive up to LA - those palm trees….heaven xxx
I won’t say more about Dunaway Prison…someone has dunaway with that sentence 😆 Glad that you eventually got across the border…that was nacho average day, welcome to Mexico 🇲🇽
Really enjoying your blog. I shipped my GB reg motorhome out to Canada in 2017 and drove to Alaska and back shortly after my wife died. I intended to return and do the route you are following now but family and covid issues scuppered that. Getting "ants in my pants" now...... not sure I want to do it alone though. Done a lot of Europe and Scandinavia in the meantime. Would be cool if our paths cross one day..... I interview another British couple who have travelled the world in an identical motorhome to mine on my channel. Getting restless now thanks to you two!!!!!!
Great video, I Love Adam & Heidi!! I was thinking about them when you said you were going to Ensenada since they had recently posted a video from there. They are certainly Mexico's best ambassadors! I'm moving to Puerto Morelos later this year and can't wait to get there! ☮️❤️😎
Hey both (All) it was lovely to meet you all and share a birthday moment too !! Thank you for inviting us to share in that moment and share stories - we should deffo do it again !! M xx
Paused the video to let you know it was a coyote you saw. You will see lots of them in California, even roaming urban areas. Usually come out at night in urban areas. I think you would like stopping in San Diego. Going bike riding along the Pacific Ocean. Have to get back to the video now to see what happened in Mexico. The suspense is killing me! (expression in the States)
Hi Jim - yep there is a playlist of our 5 months adventure visiting all the countries in Central America with a back pack on budget travel !! We had a blast !!
Hi Keith - we are just in Baja this time as we are driving back up to ship Trudy from Los Angeles to Japan in March !! The adventure to drive around the world is soon entering the next stage !! Woo hoo - M 🌺🚐👍

Cloud seeding is what they use over hydrodams. Australia use planes to check speeds they have painted marks on the roads and time between sets of lines
I worked with a guy whose mother's family lives in Monterrey, Mexico and the trip is so dangerous he made the decision to stop traveling there. Please be safe while in Mexico.
Ahh crossing from Arizona to California you get stopped by state troopers...and FYI their allowed to use personal vehicles ...so you never know if you're actually being stopped by actual law enforcement or some one else
In Oct 20222, I crossed into Reynosa, Mexico from McAllen, TX, USA and traversed the entire country of Mexico ILLEGALLY to Guatemala. I was stopped some 5 times by Mexican police hoping for bribes. NOT one of them concerned I was in Mexico ILLEGALLY! NOT one of them. All of them wanted their bribes paid, which I challenged and refused, and why all of them gave me a hard time for entering ILLEGALLY none of them were interested in arresting me for the ILLEGAL entry. There is NO point to my story, simply sharing. Be safe.
I would live to experience this life style although I would be one mechanical breakdown from disaster. So I'll just stay parked in Chatham Ma. In a contractor garage. Great video in slab city.

problem with online FMMs are that there are scam websites out there. Just better off to pay the $30USD +/- at the border.Only takes 15 minutes max

Not as beautiful as the Italian coast, but probably less pricey.
