    The fact that it ran on the snes at all is incredible.
    But obviously the saturn version was the one to have.

      nah. snes all day everyday. especially since the load time is patched
      and now can add cd quality ost...😄😁
      if only they ported alpha 3 as well tho. but snes era was past over by then.
      lol but saturn is naturally GOAT for any 2D games.

      I own 3 Saturns and about 2 SNES consoles. About 10+ Original XboX consoles - hoarding a full time job
      Own both originals, but not the Japanese version.

    It’s obvious that the SNES version is the worst version, but there is an MSU-1 patch that not only provides CD quality music, it removes the loading moments (round start, result after round ends), which allows the game to run smoother. The music also continues in between rounds rather than restarts.

      Yeah, tell him dude, he should've remade this vid with all awesome patches applied 🤣.

    • @VOAN
      @VOAN หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It's too bad the only way to play that version is either through emulation or a flash cartridge. There isn't an actual cartridge that had the MSU-1 already patched in.

    • @ajsingh4545
      @ajsingh4545 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The loading isn't even that bad ... Surprised to see people crying over it

    • @CJinMono
      @CJinMono 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@ajsingh4545 It's unusual for cartridge-based games to have such obvious load times (fast loading is why the N64 uses carts despite CDs becoming the norm). It's not a big deal, just noteworthy.

    Obviously the Sega Saturn version is better, but it's amazing that somehow a game like SFA2 could fit the Snes hardware like that.
    I played the Snes version the most, and I can say that, hardware differences aside, it was still very fun to play and a very beautiful game by Snes standards.
    Thanks for the comparison.

  • @Hektols

    The Capcom of that time was amazing, they made Super Nes version just to show that they could do it and later they did the same with Resident Evil 2 for the Nintendo 64.

    • @Gladson
      @Gladson หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      The N64 version of Resident Evil 2 wasn't made by Capcom, though. That port was handled by Angel Studios.

      I believe they also made Street Fighter II: Champion Edition on the PC Engine as well. There was also a Street Fighter II for the Sega Master System but that version was made by Tec Toy. There was also Street Fighter Alpha 1 for Game Boy Color and SFA3 for GBA but those were made by Crawfish Interactive, a great indie dev that should had never died the way it did.

    The Saturn version is EXCELLENT but it is the Saturn and a 2d fighter so NOT remotely surprising. The SNES version was an AMAZING port it basically defied what we thought the system could do. They had to cheat with extra chips in the cartridge and it had some long loads but the fact it happened at all and was as good as it was made it truly amazing.

      The Street Fighter Collection is probably the worst way to play the games. SF 1 had only 2 countries to choose from at the beginning (was patched), Thirs Strike isn't the arcade, but the flawed dreamcast version, Super Turbo still isn't as good as the Dreamcast version (emulation isn't always flawless).

  • @markula_4040

    The SNES wins here. Want to know why?
    because I'm biased against the Saturn. It's failure killed Sega's home console market and the Dreamcast as awesome as it was, just a case of too little too late.
