Wish I had seen this a few months back. My bird Pluscle was egg bound. When i first saw I had no idea what it was, thought it was a tumor. Took her to a vet and she did surgery. Stuck a needle in egg to suck out contents and said I could take her home. I was to come back next day so they could administer medicine to help dissolve the shell. When I got up the next morning she was dead. Not sure what happened but after surgery there was blood around her vent that where they hadn’t even cleaned her up after the surgery which I pointed out. Said when I bring her back they would clean her. I was a little upset even though she wasn’t human she was a patient at an animal hospital and think she should have been cared for in a better manner. If I had seen this video maybe she would have lived.
That's why we have to keep an eye on our birds...that's how we can feel the little changes in our birds appearence and their stress....if we notice it in early stage we can help our bird properly
Sounds like they weren't familiar with treating tiny little egg bound parrots like budgies. Birds stress super easy and die from stress easy... who knows how the "surgery" went. It's odd that they left the empty egg shell in her. It sounds like the pet hospital was negligent. It's VERY important to find an AVIAN veterinarian if you care for any kind of bird. My sister owned 2 budgies boy and female. She moved in back with me and my parents for couple months. I always saw the female bird in the corner of the cage shaking my sister said it was normal. One day I woke up and female budgie was dead apparently it's not so normal she was suffering. So I insisted that my sister was somewhat careless with the birds so I offered to keep the male bird when she moved out on her own again and hes very happy with me. As for the female bird it will always make me upset I didnt look further into her problem
My bird had greens stuff coming not poop but a big drop looks like she dropping eggs but no shell. It stinks. Does it supposed to smell. I see only 1 egg thats not broken.
It’s troubling to know that most female birds in general die of egg binding or egg yolk peritonitis (internal laying). When we see an egg, we should remember the turmoil that bringing a new life into the world can cost.
I really need help I’m so worried my moms female bird that’s been breeding for a while never had issues laying egg but today she had this issue but it was poking out with blood on it so me and my mom tired our best to do this it worked but she’s still bleeding idk what to do idk if I can afford the vet I’m so worried

I lost a parakeet to this condition years ago. There wasn’t any Vets around who handled birds. My grandpa tried to help. While he was able to get the egg out, the parakeet was too sick to be saved. One good thing came out of it. We got Kelly, who hatched from the egg. I named her Kelly for her kelly green body.
Wow, now I understand why our parakeet died long ago when I was a boy. Had an egg stuck in the pouch, and eventually past. Burried it in our yard, and the neighbors tried to dig up the body in an attempt to tie a firework to it.
Hi my female budgie vent is swollen. She mated but only once with younger budgie. I think its unsuccessful mate. Anyway after that her vent is swollen for 4 days. And today she is slow in her activities. Poop is sometimes larger amount than usual in green color. I am afraid she is having this problem too. She didn’t laid any eggs. She sleeps in her cage at night , but during days she flies to her nest and sits there. She only eats seeds. She is fluffy at the bottom with white feathers. Could she also have this problem ? Please tell me. This can save my budgies life. 😞 Please rply soon.

Glad it helped!
I-I just woke up today and she passed 😭

@@kpopedits321 i'm glad that my parrots are both boys cause I could never
My sister owned 2 budgies boy and female.
It happens when they lay eggs
That stuff is just poop
Don't worry it's normal
It's very hard for the birds they can speak but humans don't know what they say but if we take care all the birds they can survive..♥️
I agree...
You are very amazing and smart bird Doctor 🙆🙆🙆🐦🐦💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you so much this video is really helping and today i save my bird.

Wow congrats the bird is very strong as a mother, long live baby bird and mother bird
Remove the breeding box of bird and take them some rest from breeding
And visit nearest vet as soon
Aw the mom is so cute and the egg the egg are so tiny🥰😍❤️
good job, careful but firm action, also with getting fluids and nutrients in her 👍
Hello how are you doing today beautiful ❤️
We need more people like you
I teared up watching this, my bird is low on calcium as I need to provide her a calcium block and she's also suffering with egg binding. I'm so sorry for her, I hope she gets well soon I'm very concerned 😭💔
The look on the bird's face when you got it out pure relife!
Wow This is Cool you saved The bird :)
What kind oil you use
I use mustard oil, you can use coconut oil as well
Wow, now I understand why our parakeet died long ago when I was a boy. Had an egg stuck in the pouch, and eventually past. Burried it in our yard, and the neighbors tried to dig up the body in an attempt to tie a firework to it.
Tie a firework to it? That's just messed up.

I wish I knew this years ago... my bird died trying her best to lay that egg but she died halfway 😭

Heartfelt thanks to you for saving that bird 🦜and telling us the solution❤️
This happens to me it’s probably pregnant congrats
My bird lay it egg and they hatched don’t worry
it's ok my bitd has been a little off to since I did this and it got better
When female birds give eggs in the wild it slides so easily but with pet birds it looks complicated and painful 😳hope she has an amazing life 🙏 ❤
Ohh poor bird she looks like she’s plucking! Please take her to a vet if she’s plucking! And Dang she must feel exhausted after giving birth
Although I dont have a bird but still Thanks for making this video many people can make their parrot suffer less
