Strange since he was famous at birth, because wise men expected to see the future king of Jews who was born from a virgin married mother. If Jesus preached love and acceptance and striving to being god-like in your thoughts and actions, and if we accept those attributes as worthwhile to make the world a better place, why did those teachings have to come from God to be validated? If we accept the value of those attributes, why would they be invalidated if they were preached from a regular skin and bone human, who was ahead of his time and saw the way to a better life? If hypothetically, you were presented with the undeniable truth that Jesus was not God, but just human, would you reject his teachings? And if the only reason to believe Jesus was God is to save your soul, isn’t that the epitome of selfishness?
So why not accept his teachings just for their value to contributing to a better world? His being God or not God becomes incidental and moot.

As an Orthodox being baptised 30 years ago, i just learned today from my priest that actually Jesus was God Himself... it is a lot to understand in one night as i always thought of Him as THE SON OF GOD... i feel i have so much to recover and process.... it was a wake up slap for me.... For those searching its pages, anyone who has a thirst for knowledge accompanied by Godly wisdom will be satiated. Its pages are timeless, because men guided by the Holy Spirit (Holy Breath), who is eternal, penned its words.
This is why the gospels were written years after Jesus returned to heaven 40 days after He arose from the dead in 32AD, and sent the Holy Spirit to the first believers on the 50th day, the Church's birthday, which is called Pentecost (which means 50 in Greek or Shavuot which is 50 in Hebrew). Decades passed as the Spirit helped men to put together the gospels by Godly remembrance along with research/interviews of persons who were family of and/or were apostles of Christ Jesus, the latter means of gathering information in which Luke the Historian engaged in his eponymously titled gospel book, which was needed because he didn't interact personally with Jesus.
The Holy Spirit also had men codify its words into chapters and verses to be able to witness to those who are lost. I can literally learn something I have never even fathomed by rereading passages, which is the enlightenment of the Spirit granted to those who read the Bible's words. There are just layers of layers of things which the Holy Spirit put in the Bible's pages for us to understand and embolden our faith.
And as gospeljoy stated and which you have recently understood, Jesus is fully GOD, and He is fully man, which is called the hypostatic union. The passages in Philippians 2:5-11 manifest this, starting with Jesus, who is eternal, emptying Himself down to man, His dying for us, and the Father highly exalting Him after He arose.
There were also pre-incarnate blessings of Jesus, known as _Christophanies,_ as seen in the Old Testament. When Daniel's three friends were thrown into fiery furnace (Daniel 3:15-25), there was a person walking in the fire with them, which King Nebuchadnezzar said this fourth was like the "Son of God." Melchizadek is also a Christophany, who met Abraham returning from saving Lot and the others in his defeat of the four kings. There were only three books that mentioned this priestly king in the entire Bible: In Genesis, specifically, 14:18; in the messianic psalm of Psalm 110 by King David and in verse 4, and in chapters 5, 6, and 7 of Hebrews. The entirety of chapter 7 affirms that Melchizadek is a Christophany of Jesus, as verse 3 states, "without (human) father, without mother, without descent, but like unto the Son of God," the uniqueness of the verse inferring that it's Jesus.
The Godhead of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all eternal and all ONE as the Shemah (Deuteronomy 6:4-9) states. There was never a point where God hasn't existed, which is hard for us to fathom, because we are finite and mortal persons. Jesus said over and over in John, that He is _Ego Eimi_ which means "I AM," which denotes timelessness and eternity.

I have recently embarked on a journey listening to Christian Music and reacting to it. I am not Christian, but I love the teachings of Christ. It breaks my heart to hear people say they are not perfect, only Jesus can be perfect. If we take Christ's message that a good tree cannot produce bad fruit and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit, and God produced us, we are either saying that God is a bad tree? Here Jesus says, "Be perfect, as your father in heaven is perfect." This blows me away. It truly, truly, truly blows me away! How can we think so low of ourselves and at the same time of God?

The gospels (written in Greek, by unknown authors, from 70 to 140CE) portray Jesus as famous far and wide, a prophet and healer, with great multitudes of people who knew about him, including the greatest Jewish high priests and the Roman authorities of the area, and not one person records his existence during his lifetime? If the poor, the rich, the rulers, the highest priests, and the scribes knew about Jesus, who would not have heard of him?
Amazingly, we have not one Jewish, Greek, or Roman writer, even those who lived in the Middle East, much less anywhere else on the earth, whoever mention him during his supposed life time. This appears quite extraordinary, and you will find few Christian apologists who dare mention this embarrassing fact.
