Wife has a Ninja 650, I have a CBR650F.
Engine in the Honda is much sportier feeling and the bike feels very planted at speed. Downsides are its a bit heavier and in traffic you need to give it some revs or risk stalling.
Ninja 650 is lower seat height, lighter, all the controls feel lighter and its easier to ride around in the city. Engine is rough in sound and power delivery is a bit jerky, and very on/off at slower speeds, but you do have low down torque so you can pull away just with the clutch. Wouldnt bother with an exhaust on the ninja as its just gonna make a bad sounding engine louder. Akra on the honda makes it sound amazing.
Honda suspension is also firmer and better damped than Ninja, Ninja dives quite a lot under braking but overall more comfortable as a commuter and easier to handle in town.
The Honda is a bit more aggressive/sporty posture and the CBR650R has been made more aggresive still (but neither are full sports bike).
I bought the Honda for the engine - inline 4s sound amazing, power delivery is super smooth and they rev much higher. Was disappointed by the Ninja the first time I rode it, the bike looks great but the engine is like a tractors.

I got a ninja 650 a couple months ago, and I love it, but I can't deny that 4 cylinder engines are waaaaaaaaaaaay better in performance and sound, that scream at higher revs sends chills down my spine

@@skad_ ouch. That's like almost $700 USD. I pay about $430ish for my Z400. I'm guessing you probably opted for higher limits on liability, medical, and property damage coverage?
@@FoAmY99 yes but not only that, the 600s class is labelled as "high risk" so prices are higher, even higher than 1000s, my dad pays around 200/400€ a year for his 1000, can't really remember well now.
Also, here in Italy we have a law that allows the parent to have their son to pay less for some insurance reasons, otherwise I would've paid around 800€/year

The CBR650R is one of the most perfectly balanced bikes on the market in my opinion. They also look and sound incredible!
From power to weight ratio I will pick the Honda cbr 650r

The sound of cbr is superior and hard to resist compared to Ninja's imo.
Here CBR 650R any day although I'm not a super huge fan of both the bikes but I like CBR 650R more than Ninja 650
Both great bikes, but also very different engine types, 2 cylinder vs 4. Cool comparison, thanks. Really nice presentation as usual. On my '21 Ninja 650, I can get just over 200 miles from a full 4 gallon tank till .2 left, with average freeway/backroads riding each time, which is really good for a 419 lb. (with fuel) non-abs version bike. I've seen reports of 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds, but top speed is about 126 mph, 131 maybe down a long hill. It hits 100 fast, but 120 takes over 10+ seconds to reach I'd say. Really fun bike, and the TFT display is nice too.
Ninja 400 has +3 kmph more top speed than Ninja 650

@@wolverine1854 Maybe that's the new ZX4R/ZX4RR? The 400 usually goes only up to 191-193 kmh, while the 650 can go up to 212-221kmh.
@@notno.11 Yes bro it is faster than 650 in every gear from 1-6 I know both bikes gearing are.. Ninja 650 goes 74-105-133-163-188-213 and Ninja 400 goes 76-107-136-166-191-216

I enjoyed the comparison, I am looking at both these as well as the Kawasaki Ninja sx and the new Suzuki gsx 1000. I am 56 years old have ridden sport bikes since they came out. I am looking to replace a Honda ST1300 which is supper heavy, I'm looking to go lighter with a more upright sitting position. Any suggestions would be great and if there are other bikes in this category I appreciate any info....not a fan of a naked bike especially need a windshield in Texas

The problem with the these 2 are they are sp tall. I had a Tiger 850 but with bad knees couldn't hardly get my leg over them. I have ridden Kawasaki 1000 sx and the 650 which fits into what I want pretty good. I am always looking for options though. I gave looked at the Yamaha FJ09 as well but have not ridden it yet. Better off getting a clean 2nd hand model of either one of these. They both are super cheap. The CBR F4i is just as much as if not more capable than the current 650. Just no electronic tech. Take the saved cash and put it into performance mods. And if its the Ninja 650 your after which is more beginner friendly, the motor hasn't changed. Used can be found DIRT cheap. Perfect beginner bike. The only thing your paying for is basically the modern looks. The older are less restrictions, easier to free up extra power, etc. After 25yrs of riding on the street/track i promise you your not missing out on any performance with the older ones. My S1000RR which is one of my current bikes, i dont even use or need most of those electronics. For the F4i theres so many aftermarket upgrades but all you really need is a end can, race air filter and fuel controller. Youll smoke that 650 and be more comfortable doing it.

Kawasakos body looks racier but the handle bar position ruins it for me, the hondas are in a perfect place, sportier than a standard not quite super sport.
l hope that they have part and thay is not expesive like cf moto ones becouse l plan to buy one of that bikes in Europe

@@rolanddiaz1974 the cfmoto 450sr is definitely not the best big bike. Way to slow not enough torque the clutch is shit. Compared to a ninja 400 and R3 the 450rs is better but it definitely is not the best out of the big bikes. I have a brand new one and it doesn't come close to my other bikes.

@@marcjhunbarnedo2126not at all. The zx6r is a super sport. Doesn't matter about the motor it's how the power is distributed from thr motor. The zx6r vs 650r isn't the same at all. It would be zx6r vs cbr600rr.
