I had a scrape on my knee but no bruises even though my muscles are a little sore. I have a bad heart and my family all came running out to check on me but I was able to get up on my own AND the pie was still in perfect condition lol 😅😂
Rearrange the house for a walker. Get a walker with a seat, even if it is a smaller one that you can't sit on. It will allow you to balance and carry things on the seat.
Since my stoke I fall often, I can get up with a chair... getting old sucks sometimes. I am so glad you had a nice Thanksgiving and visited with your children and the mates. The feeding tube site sounds so painful, I hope it will heal soon.

I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. I did, too, with my husband and kids and my sister and her family. We got to meet my nephew's girlfriend and she was a doll. My 35 year old daughter has been fighting cancer for the last year, but she is doing well and had fun, too, and her hair has grown back to a pixie length. So much better than the family get together at Easter.

Ok, my dear, one more thing: you need to get a walker and use it! You can walk more that way and strengthen your legs AND you won’t fall. Please Kayla. You could really hurt yourself on one of these falls and end up back in the hospital. You know I’m right! LOL 😊😊❤❤

My poor husband was afraid to leave alone. We would be walking along holding hands and the minute he let go i would go down?. Turns out some of my meds were causing me some vertigo issues. I finally am on some medication to solve that. Thank god. 🙏💞🙏
You can get a walker pouch that fits on the front of your walker that has pockets in it to carry things in that you want to take from room to room where it does fit in your house. Also, maybe a shoulder bag would work better than a bucket to keep your hands free.

Everything looked lovely and delicious, their home looks so comfortably classy. So glad you had your family with you. Sorry to hear of you falling again, but thankful Elijah was able to get you up and that you didn't have any severe injury from the fall. Oh yes, you get so weak in your legs especially being in the hospital in bed for days. I haven't been able to use my right leg in two weeks and I have completely lost my calf muscle. I have to use a scooter and I do well getting me from room to room. I have to think of what I may need and ask my hubby to bring it to my table, I hate not being able to just jump up and get what I want or need, oh well thankful for the care my hubby gives me, he really tries. I got to see my daughter for 10 mins as she brought a plate for my hubby and me. I talked with my grandson on the phone for about an hour, then later my granddaughter her hubby and her daughter , my great granddaughter stopped by for a short visit. I missed seeing my youngest daughter and her family. I am sort of stranded at home recoverying from foot/ankle surgery. I spoke to my mom on the phone and my two sisters. It was a different day for me but I was so thankful for the effort of each and everyone one them and thankful for my family, we have three children, a son and two daughters and their spouses, two grandsons, one of which is married, four granddaughters, two of which are married and two great granddaughters, that makes 20 of us whenever we are all together, but it wasn't to be this year.😥I am thankful for each and everyone of them. My oldest great-granddaughter came over today to spend the weekend with us, I am so thankful for her, she is a sweetheart. I traveled to my sisters & when I went to pit stop eventho my bro helped me to the door of the woman’s room going out I looked down & I didn’t see a woman coming in and I lost balance & she caught me or else I would have fallen ( how embarrassing !) I think when your muscles get so tired they have a mind of their own & u can’t depend on them otherwise I had a great time the best part was being together &&& being able to sit! 😂 So glad u had a great day too,friend!

Kayla, I loved the pictures at Dakota’s & Carlton’s food & set up of food. It looked so cheery & festive. If the food was as good as the ambiance, I say thanksgiving win! Petina was a great model. Very cute outfit. She was stylin’! I loved the pics I saw of all of you guys on Instagram. I’m so happy you got you a family picture. Those were framers for sure. I’m glad the meat eaters got some meat from Big Daddy smoking that meat! 😃 Yum sweet potato casserole! Mmmm 😋 My hubby & I ate at my daughter’s house. We ordered Honey Baked Turkey (not whole turkey). It was smoked & so delicious. We also ordered sweet potatoes, white potato casserole (mashed potatoes with the skin… I loved them); & Mac & cheese. Her in-laws cooked deviled eggs, & rice salad dressing. My son-in-law cooked green bean casserole. It was all so delicious. The guys of the family & Ms Angela decided they’d play Boo Ray ( I don’t know if this is proper spelling ) Andy, my hubby, won the pot. My daughter & I watched a sweet movie that was on Netflix, Biltmore Christmas. It was so good. I had already seen on Hallmark Now or Plus… so I dozed in & out. We did Thanksgiving for my mama & sister on Tuesday. My nieces husband cooked a whole turkey & a bunch of sides. It was all so delicious. My mama had surgery last week so she’s on the mend. She was so happy the nerve pain has stopped in her lower back & leg & groin. We’re so blessed she is better. My daddy is temporarily in a care home while she’s on the mend. He’s 96 & she’s 87. My sister has a fancy new house 2.5 miles from me & her house is wonderful with my mama having her own room with a bathroom. My mama still using her walker but she does really well. I’m going 2 times a week to see my daddy an hour away. So, so thankful my husbands older car has new tires & are aligned so he can drive his car to work with running errands for my mama & sister. My husbands new job is a 45 mile drive one way. I feel bad my daddy didn’t have much of a thanksgiving but he sleeps 95 percent of his day. He wakes up to eat & thats about it. I’m so glad you have therapy for your limbs. And you’re getting tube fed some too. Food & nutrients will help with muscles building up. Hate to hear your feeding tube so bad. That is no joke. Unreal. Praying that heals. Infections are awful & can do bad things to your body. I took a 4 hour nap after we got home today. I’m about to crochet & watch a Hallmark Christmas Rom Com. It’s cold here in central MS so ima snuggle under a warm crocheted blanket. First freeze warning tonite. Brrrrrrrrr Have a wonderful weekend. Thanksgiving was wonderful. It was just my son Jonathan and myself. My son is a wonderful cook he made all the food and I did all the dishes. Wasn’t sure what was going to happen because our electric went out for a couple hours as he was cooking. Everyone in our street lost power I guess it was a tripped breaker. Thank God it came back on a couple hours later. Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Now to get ready for Christmas!

It's relaxing watching you color. I've got you on my tv but just had to come comment on my Kindle. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving visit and meal with our oldest son and his beautiful lady. A snowstorm hit the area and later that evening we lost our power. A lot of trees came down around the state of Maine. We got the power back this morning (Saturday). Falling is not fun! I'm glad you didn't get seriously injured.

We had Thanksgiving the day before Thanksgiving because my grandson and his wife and their kids had the holiday at his wife’s mothers and family--it gets complicated as you know!!! ❤

I love that Patina was able to be apart of the festivities 🎉. Thank you for sharing your family pics with us! I think Dakota's dog is a cutie pie! But I understand that some dogs are so ugly that they are cute!😆 We also do corn casserole 🥘 its so amazingly good!😊. I am blessed to have a husband that cooks every holiday for us (and the days between, LoL 😆) He has really turned into quite the amazing chef! He also made my grandmothers dressing recipe and it tasted just like hers❤. For the 2nd year in a row the hubs cooked the turkey 🦃 by So Vide, which is cooking by putting the food into air tight bags and dunking them into a pot of water & allowing it to cook while having the water a certain temperature 🌡️ it has come out soooooo juicy & delicious 😋🤤. Biggest hugs. So happy you both could spend time with your sons for Thanksgiving. What beautiful decorations and nice presentation of the food. How sweet that you had a taste of what you could and could go back for your egg dish. Sorry you fell again. So happy your son could help you back up, the training sure helps an otherwise impossible seeming situation. With time and therapy you will get strength back. What goes with illness is what they call your core, that takes time and patience to rebuild once lost. Every little inch is another inch stronger. If you don't have room for your walker perhaps Zeke can come and help move furniture a tiny bit different angle so either you can use them as additional support or places to rest in between steps with your cane. My children live far away so I spend the day like I normally do, my landlord's mom send me some turkey, so sweet of her.

Balsamic vinaigrette is what you are thinking of. I don't like it either, lol. I made a very simple dinner for my husband and I. He was very happy with everything and I was just glad to get it done. We had a quiet day. Unfortunately I had to work Friday. I got really worn out, but I got a lot done. I was disappointed because I thought I was getting the week off because I usually work on Thursday and last week she told me not to come this week...then she texted and asked me to come Friday. I had some serious feelings about it...but I went anyway. Omg...that lemon and white hound looks like my dog Missy that passed away several years ago. She was a beagle bassett.

We did Thanksgiving for my mama & sister on Tuesday. My nieces husband cooked a whole turkey & a bunch of sides. It was all so delicious. My mama had surgery last week so she’s on the mend. She was so happy the nerve pain has stopped in her lower back & leg & groin. We’re so blessed she is better. My daddy is temporarily in a care home while she’s on the mend. He’s 96 & she’s 87. My sister has a fancy new house 2.5 miles from me & her house is wonderful with my mama having her own room with a bathroom. My mama still using her walker but she does really well. I’m going 2 times a week to see my daddy an hour away. So, so thankful my husbands older car has new tires & are aligned so he can drive his car to work with running errands for my mama & sister. My husbands new job is a 45 mile drive one way. I feel bad my daddy didn’t have much of a thanksgiving but he sleeps 95 percent of his day. He wakes up to eat & thats about it.
I’m so glad you have therapy for your limbs. And you’re getting tube fed some too. Food & nutrients will help with muscles building up.
Hate to hear your feeding tube so bad. That is no joke. Unreal. Praying that heals. Infections are awful & can do bad things to your body.
I took a 4 hour nap after we got home today. I’m about to crochet & watch a Hallmark Christmas Rom Com. It’s cold here in central MS so ima snuggle under a warm crocheted blanket. First freeze warning tonite. Brrrrrrrrr

Thanksgiving was wonderful. It was just my son Jonathan and myself. My son is a wonderful cook he made all the food and I did all the dishes. Wasn’t sure what was going to happen because our electric went out for a couple hours as he was cooking. Everyone in our street lost power I guess it was a tripped breaker. Thank God it came back on a couple hours later. Hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Now to get ready for Christmas!

It's relaxing watching you color. I've got you on my tv but just had to come comment on my Kindle. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving visit and meal with our oldest son and his beautiful lady. A snowstorm hit the area and later that evening we lost our power. A lot of trees came down around the state of Maine. We got the power back this morning (Saturday). Falling is not fun! I'm glad you didn't get seriously injured.

We also do corn casserole 🥘 its so amazingly good!😊. I am blessed to have a husband that cooks every holiday for us (and the days between, LoL 😆) He has really turned into quite the amazing chef! He also made my grandmothers dressing recipe and it tasted just like hers❤. For the 2nd year in a row the hubs cooked the turkey 🦃 by So Vide, which is cooking by putting the food into air tight bags and dunking them into a pot of water & allowing it to cook while having the water a certain temperature 🌡️ it has come out soooooo juicy & delicious 😋🤤. He does a great job!

Biggest hugs. So happy you both could spend time with your sons for Thanksgiving. What beautiful decorations and nice presentation of the food. How sweet that you had a taste of what you could and could go back for your egg dish.
Sorry you fell again. So happy your son could help you back up, the training sure helps an otherwise impossible seeming situation. With time and therapy you will get strength back. What goes with illness is what they call your core, that takes time and patience to rebuild once lost. Every little inch is another inch stronger. If you don't have room for your walker perhaps Zeke can come and help move furniture a tiny bit different angle so either you can use them as additional support or places to rest in between steps with your cane.
My children live far away so I spend the day like I normally do, my landlord's mom send me some turkey, so sweet of her.

I made a very simple dinner for my husband and I. He was very happy with everything and I was just glad to get it done. We had a quiet day. Unfortunately I had to work Friday. I got really worn out, but I got a lot done. I was disappointed because I thought I was getting the week off because I usually work on Thursday and last week she told me not to come this week...then she texted and asked me to come Friday. I had some serious feelings about it...but I went anyway.

I’ve fallen too and the last time I fell I hit my head on concrete and. Hear the awful crack you hear when some hits their head on concrete. I hate that sound and this time it was my head. I had a minor concussion;.
