I don't have any suggestions (I'd enjoy anything), but I wanted to say that I am living for these body doubling videos. I am someone who has low energy/trouble staying motivated/is anxiously and distracted, and who lives pretty isolated due to the nature of my job. Your content is both calming and motivating, which is a combination I find especially helpful since I can put them on in the background both when I need to get things done and when I need to wind down.
9 to 5er here and it’s hard because when I’m finally home and settle in i have zero energy to do my hobbies. I’ll sit there and think what i want to do and just end up falling asleep. 😢 My weekends are mainly just for errands, chores, and prepping for the next work week. 😞 It was nice hearing of your hair journey. Your hair is so beautiful and im glad it’s something you embrace and love now.❤ thank you for sharing bits and pieces of your life with us and know that sometimes I don’t have the energy to do my hobbies but I usually have the energy to unwind watching your videos so thank you for that as well 🥰
Big hugs to the 9 to 5ers😔🤎 Glad you’re being patient with yourself and listening to what you need though! Not everyone is in the season of their life for a million hobbies and however you need to unwind is valid!
I'm watching this video at 11:33 PM and am feeling intense guilt for not working overtime to get caught up on pre-composing emails. My calls for the day were again so frequent that I had no time for emails. I think I'm going to get up early tomorrow (so I need to get my behind in bed) to get a head start on everything. I understand the exhaustion. I pulled out a coloring book and it's open in front of me but the guilt of not finishing work (which has honestly just been a horrible, never-ending battle, lately) keeps me from doing much of anything in the way of hobbies. I had a brief moment of joy yesterday with pre-composing emails this weekend (yes, weekend work is also a must if I want to stay on top of things. Not mandated, but it will bite me, hard, if I don't do it), but calls got to such a point that I couldn't even finish sending out the emails I'd written! So yeah, I understand the "just get off work and go to sleep" routine. I even decorated my home office, finally, as a means to stay in here more and relax with books or the coloring. But this room is one filled with anxiety because there's always the work that needs to be done as well. I need an extra set of hands at work because before me, there WERE two people doing this job, but hiring someone new are probably the last words management wants to hear :/ Gonna...try to block all of that and focus on a few minutes of coloring.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley:( sounds like your job just wants to suck all of your energy with no regard for you as a person. When you work so hard you should not be made to feel guilty!! I hope you might be able to make your job less stressful or maybe you'll just stumble on a better opportunity soon 🤞
I have been struggling with this as well and i have realised the only way to combat it is to work with it. When i get home i allow myself an hour and a half to rest, without caring what i do. I used to beat myself up for needing that rest time, nor for using it to scroll on my phone instead of read a book or something etc. now i allow myself the freedom of brain off rest and dont get upset how that time is spent. Just allowing myself the guilt free rest time has been a game changer in my energy levels. Also making sure i actually eat enough throughout the day, and that when i eat i have protein and carbs in every meal or snack, this keeps me full for longer and gives me energy for the rest of the day. If i dont eat during my rest time, i make sure to have some food afterwards to power me up for the evening. It helps if i make my afternoon tea ahead of time eg when i make my lunch and breakfast, so i dont have to waste my limited afternoon energy. Another way that helps is if i just do the lazy things in a hobby-esque environment. I dont have grass but i have a porch, so i put an outdoor beanbag and a lap desk on the porch and just lay outside for my rest time, which makes me feel a million times better about scrolling on my phone or watching youtube for 90 minutes. I also usually bring a little hobby basket with me of things i could do if i feel like it eg a book to read, my journal, a picture book in case i dont have the brain power for actual reading, my tablet to watch videos, my switch, a lego kit etc. a lot of the time i dont end up using any of it, but if i do want to do a hobby, the barrier to entry is so low im much more likely to just do it instead of procrastinating and getting upset i didn't do anything. My adhd helps tbh coz i cant usually do one thing for too long anyways so after I've had enough rest, that usually propels me into either hobby time or productive homemakers time eg dishes, cooking, shower, gardening, tidying. And i specifically carve out my evenings during and after dinner as my evening hobby time, its part of my wind down routine for the night. I watch youtube or anime while i eat, then play video games or do crafts until bedtime. I also hobby-task batch a lot, so anything i dont really enjoy doing becomes much more doable, and i get more hobby time in whilst being productive. I listen to audiobooks while im in the kitchen or garden, i listen to junky podcasts while i get set up for afternoon rest time/activity time, and i listen to inspirational podcasts while i shower and get ready in the morning. It sets the vibe for what im doing, and its like getting double bang for your buck bc even productive time can be hobby time too. I also do a lot of phone gaming, pinterest scrolling and daydreaming while im travelling to and from places (i have a driver, used to do the same on public transport. If you're driving yourself, that's a great time for a pod or audiobook or some scream singing)
Also, if you're finding yourself so exhausted that you're falling asleep, consider tackling that issue head on. Its not normal to fall asleep straight after work. That indicates that there is more being taken from your cup than added back to it throughout your day. This could be from a number of things, so try tackling one at a time: -food. If you aren't eating frequently enough, enough nutrients, and getting full enough, you will be low energy and tired more easily. Check out recommended dietary intakes of different nutrients throughout the day and see if you're getting enough, and adjust accordingly. -Drinks: water, obviously. If you're drinking caffeine or sugar during the day, you may be crashing. Test out drinking different forms, at different times, or cutting back/quitting. -sleep: do you have a night routine? Are you hitting YOUR required amount of sleep? Some people need more than others. If you dont know how much you need, try sleeping in for a couple of weekends and seeing what time you go to sleep and naturally wake up. The average of that is how many hours you actually need. Adjust your schedule accordingly. -sensory input: are you under fluroescent lights all day, or in a busy environment with a lot of noise? Do you have to make a lot of decisions in a day, or talk to a lot of people? Do you have to spend a lot of time acting differently than you would if you were just chilling? Do you have to sit all day, or be on your feet all day? Do you find yourself feeling fidgety or restless during your work day? These things may be poking holes in your cup throughout the day and creating slow leaks that drain your energy. Its important to recognise how your workplace or environment could be affecting your body and mind. Consider accomodations to support you if you are dealing with this. I personally often wear a hat and sunglasses under fluorescent lights, and i regularly wear headphones to minimise noise while im working. I also keep fidgets on me at all times to help with fiddlyness, anxiety, frustration, concentration etc. i had to get more comfortable shoes bc i was on my feet all day, and make sure i sit and lie down a lot while at home so i get an even balance throughout the day. Do what you gotta do, you're the one who suffers otherwise. It can be nerve wracking at first, but if anyone asks, they'll only ask once. -Emotional overwhelm: are you constantly surrounded by people or situations that frustrate, irritate or upset you? Are you often feeling stressed or frazzled? Do you get emotional whiplash from having to go from cheery to serious to focused and back? You may need to set more boundaries at work, and if you cant do that, then set more boundaries at home eg. I cant be the first person everyone in the house turns to for help, i need you to ask me if i have the capacity to listen before you trauma dump on me etc. -burn out -is the amount of stuff you have on your plate actually sustainable for you? Do you need to delegate some tasks, let some things go, or ask for support? Do you need to find something that works better for you and your lifestyle? I have adhd and autism but only figured it out last year. Up till then, i was working 9 hours a day with kids. That's wayyyyy too long to be front facing with children, especially as someone who regularly experiences sensory overwhelm. I was crying at least three times a week, falling asleep during the day and when i got home, and my work was suffering almost as much as my happiness. At the end of the day, i tried a lot of accomodations and did pretty much all of the above, and was still miserable and exhausted. The only thing i could do, was find a new job. I needed less hours and less intensity, less responsibility and more fun. I was able to find that, it took hard work to get there, but i was eventually able to start my own business and build my dream life. Thats obviously not how everyone can do it, but truly, if you try everything and still dont see the outcomes you're after, your plate is too full of food you dont love, and you need to let some things go. Now i have time for everything if i try hard enough, i have energy most of the time (im still human, and a woman), and im a million times happier and healthier. Choose you. Find what you need and fill those needs. Always choose yourself over the business. They'll always choose themselves over you.
GIRL THANK GOD YOURE HERE i was just sitting here depression refreshing and this is the perfect thing. pls yap away at me forever!! WHEN THE WORLD (me) NEEDED HER MOST, SHE UPLOADED
I think it’s so cool that you don’t want kids. I’m 30 and I have no desire for children. Like you said, I love my specific freedoms and lifestyle. It’s so hard to find child-free TH-camrs these days. You’ve been my comfort TH-camr since 2022. It’s because of your videos that I learned about cozy gaming and I’ve been cozy gaming ever since! Love your videos Ken!
you probably won’t see this but I wanted to say that this has been the hardest year of my life and your videos have truly changed it for me. My little brother passed away and sometimes it felt like there’s not much of a point without him. You give so many people so many reasons to enjoy being alive. Thank you.
sending you peace and unexpected sweet, beautiful moments that spark happiness in your heart. this is so tough to grow through and you're doing a wonderful job.
Child-free and switched to tea after coffee-anxiety? I’ve never related to someone more in my liiiife! I really appreciated and loved this cozy video, thank you for this! 🎉
I’m right with you on the child free perspective, it’s so nice to hear someone around my age discuss this so publicly without making excuses for it. Some things in life just aren’t for everyone and that is okay!❤❤❤
Hearing someone else around my age say they don’t want to have kids is so reassuring. So many of my friends are getting married or having kids, and I’ve been feeling very lonely lately. I’m so so so happy for them of course, but sometimes I wish I had someone I could relate to. Thanks for your yapping 😌 your videos always bring so much positivity into my life 💜
Learning you're childfree and agnostic is so cool because i am as well and have so many similar beliefs you described in this vid, and i feel like i never really hear creators i follow talk about stuff like that!!! Just super refreshing to hear so thanks for sharing 🫶🏼
It’s so interesting how 2023 was a hectic workaholic year for you whilst you were making cozy content that served as wellness, “slow down and enjoy life” content for the rest of us. In 2023 I discovered your channel and it taught me to slow down and just lean on my hobbies to unwind and get out of my stressful lifestyle.
As a fellow derogatory perfectionist who struggles to start many things bc i dont want to fail, I really appreciate you vocalizing that it is okay and validating that this is a very real thing. Especially for people who grow up as "high performing" in school or pursued engineering/medicine/law/etc as a career. I feel like hearing someone else speak almost eerily similar to my life experience after feeling really lonely in this feeling just makes a huge difference. Separately, (ngl i'm only halfway through the video rn), i didn't realize how much I related to you!! It brings me so much joy to see another Black woman intellectual, gamer, perfectionist in Cali who doesn't want kids! You go bestie!!!!
I cannot tell you how .... helpful this video was. The whole no negative self talk bit honestly really helped me today. I have had a really awful mental health week, just being really awful to myself and criticising myself for everything. And this was just like - exactly what I needed to hear. So thank you Kennedy. I really appreciate you
I’m not even kidding when I say you’ve changed my life Kennedy! You introduced me to cozy gaming and have helped me re-learn that it’s okay to be an adult and have hobbies!
Hey ken- I've been following you since the blow up of that very first TikTok you mentioned. I never felt properly represented as a woman who loved gaming but didn't resonate with that pink aesthetic until your content. I have a very low social battery generally, so I have always just sort of lurked and wished I had enough energy to participate more fully in your community. I have loved watching your community and content grow, and you even helped me to find joy in coloring and let go of the idea that it was only for children. Your content brings me so much peace and joy and I hope you know how grateful your audience is for you!!!!
Hearing you say that you used to think you did not look good with curly hair completely bamboozled me. When I watch you videos I am always in awe with how beautiful your curls are! It's interesting that growing up you thought straight hair to be the ideal because I always wanted curly hair as a kid
Aww people our age have all been there with the curl acceptation journey! You look so great, I'm glad you grew your natural hair back. Also, thank you for your channel. It's become my happy place online.
Something that helped me a lot with the pressure to actually do hobbies and overcoming perfectionism and the need to be productive, is going into it thinking « I’m gonna do something absolutely useless », like that was the goal. Asking myself « What is something that would be fun and would have zero point » (even though, yes having fun is the point but I hope you get what I mean). I think the best way to do it is doing something that will not last, like drawing on an erasable board or in the sand, playing with slime or play dough, or arranging rocks or sticks into a certain shape. Or, making it my goal to do something badly. Like « I’m gonna paint a bad dolphin ». And just let yourself slowly get in the zone and have fun because you won’t be focusing on the outcome. Basically learning how to have fun again 😊 I loved getting to know you better 🤎🧸 The format of this video was just what I needed ✨Hope you’re having a good day (or taking care of yourself if you’re not 🫶)
didnt see the video length but im sooo glad i stayed for the whole thing. the way you speak is so well put together and straight forward. the part where you talked about not putting yourself down and not letting your thoughts have agency really struck with me. your one of the few youtubers that make me feel better after watching, and not like im just internet rotting lmao. i appreciate your channel a lot❤️❤️❤️❤️
You have tremendous insight for one so young. It has taken me years, decades, to get to the point where I can even begin to let go of "stuff." It will still take me some time to stop the "fight or flight" feelings and just be. I felt different and not accepted for different reasons than what you mentioned but it is difficult to know you are not accepted for who you are and to feel it is not, and never, enough. Refreshing to hear this spoken out loud "you are enough" "it is ok." Thanks, Kennedy. Keep up the great work. I'll be around. Btw, I love your hair.
I’ve just started watching you religiously and girl, I wish I was present when you first started creating content. I literally love watching your videos and listening to you. I sincerely wish we were friends in real life. Watching you comforts me and I’m just so happy I found you!
i'm not a poc but i really relate to the hair thing. i have naturally curly hair but i would always tell myself it looks better straight because all of my friends had straight hair. in the last two years i've stopped putting heat on my hair and have embraced my curls and i love them now. i'm so thankful for all the new products for curly hair as well!
Your mental health portion was what I needed to hear ❤ last yr when I found u, I was having a hard time balancing being a house wife and time for myself w my ocd. I had to take a major step back and reevaluate my life cuz I could never learn to relax. Your channel has helped me learn to find all the hobbies I use to love and create an atmosphere where I could relax and unwind 😊 you've def taught me too that I needed to create a boundary to have that relaxation time and to say no to things. Also, that's the first time I heard someone break the barrier of not always putting responsibilities before relaxing, and that it doesn't matter. I think I'll stick to putting responsibilities first before relaxing but it's Def something to think about in the future. Ty for this Kennedy, your personality is amazing ❤
I love how real you are, Kennedy. This video felt like a big warm yap sesh with a bestie. I LOVE your self help tips and I can tell you share them cuz you do them yourself!!
These are the kind of videos that make me wish youtube has a Love button. Girl the way you talk is exactly what im trying to learn, but it is soo hard. I love how you're realistic but also hopeful. Cuz it IS a process, but its also something that is possible, and its worth fighting towards. Thank you for this ♥
I love this so much! You are amazing!! I needed this more than you know. The not showing Ryan's face is giving home improvement next door neighbor vibes and I'm here for it. Love it!
I *just* started posting Instagram reels regularly like a week ago, and listening to you say “do it scared” and just jump in and start posting, learn on the fly, etc. was SO reassuring. I have no idea what I’m doing and totally have the “omg why do I sound like that?!” Or hating my double chin moments😂. It’s already feeling easier though and like I care more, so combining that with everything you have said already has made me so much more motivated to keep going! Love your content and personality! 💛
😢I can relate so much especially in regards to work hard.." its an illness that i had to unlearn"... Just another reason I love watching your videos. You always inspire me to relax harder than I work
This video is right on-time, Kennedy! Time to get my coloring book out, some lunch, and enjoy the cozy vibes. Hope everyone is having a great start to their week. 😌👍🏼
I always really enjoy your thoughts, Ken. Equally entertaining, comforting, and wise! Favorite video yet ❤ I also appreciated your openness about a child free life, as someone who’s also never really been called to motherhood.
I just wanted to thank you for all of these videos. I’m recovering from a brain injury and having your videos on in the background has really helped me get back on task and start to feel like myself again. So grateful that TH-cam put your channel on my for you page!!
This video was great, i appreciate how much energy, time, and responsibility you take on with stuff like this. I only found your channel a few weeks ago and it has become a huge source of peace for me during a turmolous time.
Ahhh this came right on time 🥹What I love most about your yappings is the balance between just real talk, being vulnerable and mental health insights versus hobby’s and cozy relaxations. Honestly it goes hand in hand perfectly!
Hey Kennedy! You just gave me a lightbulb moment! I’ve always been someone who struggles with sleep and I’m naturally a night owl. I always tell myself I’m a night owl, not a morning person. I’ve been telling myself this all my life. But like you said about working out, if I tell myself no I actually can be a morning person and go to bed early-then I’ll believe it and do it! Thank you for everything you do and the comfort you provide us all 🧡
this was SO SO good!! loved learning so much about you and just everything in general. Your posts and online presence just makes me so happy! keep it up!
yap yap yap YESSSSS thank you for keeping me company as I trudged through my Monday! My favorite question was the one you answered about enjoying hobbies without guilt-- SO validating I think about this all the time!
there is something so comforting in seeing your favorite creator breaking down the reality that is their job. it’s so hard has a content consumer to understand what goes into all of it. I have so much respect for you because although i’m sure it’s so fun and rewarding it does seem like a ton of work! I think us on the outside can sit here and think like you said “i can so do that” and never truly understand what goes into it all. i really appreciated what you said about we don’t just have this natural ability to do all of the things we post about. because that is what has kept me from even dabbling in content creation, i feel like my life and lack of “talents” or creativity is too boring for content creation. anyways! i love and appreciate you so much, thank you for being you and always brightening my day and bringing a peace to my life with your amazing cozy content! And yes we are friends 🤣 🤎
I can’t thank you enough! I’ve been depressed for the past 10 months, stemming from work burnout, but your videos on a cosy life and looking after yourself have changed my mindset completely. I forgot that hobbies are an important part of life and I went so many years living just the corporate life. I’m the manager at my work now, but my happiness had been completely seeped out of me. I’ve been to therapy and honestly nothing any of them said have resonated with me as much as your outlook has. I’m starting slowly but I’m definitely now working on me time, cosy time, protect me time. And I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart 🥰
I love listening to you talk about all the things. I finished a coloring page and a sticker by number page while watching the vlog. So cozy. I needed that! I personally really like the mental health talk. I like how real and caring you are. 💜
16:09 Ahh I appreciate the hair care journey story. I grew up in a predominantly white area, only back kid at my high school. I got so many relaxers and it never made me happy. Now I’m learning to embrace my curls. It’s a thought journey but so beautiful! Really really love this video. I feel seen❤
This is so refreshing to hear. I always struggle with feeling like I need to accomplish something before I get to even enjoy myself because I feel like I don’t deserve to????? WTH. This made me feel a lot better and I have to remind myself now everything you said. Thank you, so much. ❤
Food for thought...Have you ever considered becoming a Cozy Therapist? This video reminds me of that. Help others look at their lives differently and not feel bad about taking a break or doing hobbies. I have really enjoyed getting to know you better. I have been watching you for the last 3 years. I have commented a few times but I am usually a silent watcher. I am sewing a pajama top while listening to this video too!
I absolutely loved learning more about you, a little snippet about me is that I'm making a scrapbook for my boyfriend one page per month and it includes screenshots, Spotify, movies, calendar events and pictures. Thanks to your chatty vlogs I've been able to make great progress on it (: Oh and I'm a Gemini, I was so excited when you answered your Star sign in the end (: Also, I love remis vlogs too!
I can’t believe you don’t have at least 1million subscribers, I can’t wait until that day. I’ve been here since your first tik tok and instantly loved your vibe, I always tell my friends you’re my “influencer”🩷 You are so wise and your advice is always so comforting. Your videos are like a warm hug and I feel like i’m chatting with a friend. Hearing you talk about healing your inner child made me cry😭🩷 i love you girly can’t wait to see how you grow in the next few years
Thank you for speaking on not having children. I too have decided not to have children, and at 29 you wouldn't believe the pressure I still face and how many "you'll change your mind" comments I hear. It can be very frustrating to always explain, and I feel like no one truly listens to me when I say no anyway. It's always a dismissal like they know ill eventually either have one or just change my answer.
I so so feel that! It always feels like we’re letting people down based on their reactions but that’s their disappointment to hold, not ours! Cheers to a child-free life, friend!! I see you!🫶🏽🤎
@@CozyK and they always act like they want an explanation as to why, like I do not owe you any reasons for why, I have my own reasons but I don't need to justify myself to someone else, especially if they're just gonna wave it off anyway! Thanks for all your awesome, relatable videos 🫶😌
Love this so much! YOU are the reason I got into gaming a few years ago and it brings me so much cozy joy. Ive always had friends and partners who were very into gaming and I absolutely never saw myself in that world and truly disliked it. Then I dipped my toes in during the pandemic out of hobby void desperation, and somehow found your channel TH-cam surfing one night. Thank you for illustrating what healthy self love can look like and inspiring us all to seek more authentic whimsy and delight in our lives. You’ve helped me slow down and feel a bit more comfortable in my own skin. Sending love and appreciation your way 💜
I love this so much!! Chit chatting and hobby sharing is so nice! So many of these videos are no talking and I prefer this so much more, thank you! Just what i needed 💗
This video got me out of my depression slump today! I felt so unmotivated and I was being so harsh on myself for not doing anything productive and when you went into mental health and being kind to your inner child it helped me so much. Thank you for taking the time to make this long video I loved it and it made me feel less alone and I also coloured for the first time in ages. You’re awesome and I’m so glad that this video was suggested to me on a day like today💜
I’ve been following for a few years and I just want to say I appreciate how wise and authentic you are / are able to convey those traits with both vulnerability and boundaries. Your content is really refreshing and it’s noticeable that you have sincere values!
i'm still in the middle of watching but your view on downtime and rest and hobbies has been so eye opening to me this past year. i'm definitely still working on it and unlearning lots of things but your videos bring so much comfort and joy! thank you for sharing your thoughts with us :) was so excited when i saw the length of this video, absolutely love a yap video!!
Thank you for this video 🙏🏻. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to watch the whole video, but there was so much value, so I stayed and listened… You make this world a better place ❤
You are probably one of the only TH-camr/tiktok creators that I watch on repeat. I truly feel like you opened up gaming for me and made me feel like cozy games are also games. I love your content ❤
I’ve been here since your early TikTok days and I was so excited when you first started your TH-cam channel. My TH-cam interests go through phases (like whatever certain topic I’m interested in) but you’re a staple in my subscriptions! And also you introduced me to my all time favorite cozy game: Cozy Grove. I’ve played it from the beginning several times and it’s my go to comfort game
hey cozy K thanks for posting this video! i loved it and hearing you talk about unlearning bad habits and thoughts has helped me so much! seriously appreciate it. i've forgotten to take care of myself and feel like i'm basically living at my job and constantly filling my head with stress and work. i need to prioritize my hobbies and things that make me happy. love your content! thank you
It's so nice to hear from other people who had similar experiences growing up! From being the minority in your school to the hair journey-- I love it all. Thank you for sharing 💝
I’m late to the game but thank you for this yappy video! Love hearing about your life - and it’s the perfect listen while I’m doing boring chores around the house! You inspire me every day to be more positive and find the little joys in every day life ❤
I loved everything about this. I feel like your insights and perspective through your answers really shows why you and your channel really is a cozy, safe, space for all your viewers. It garners and promotes such positivity, self-love, and self-worth in every essence. I discovered your channel at the end of 2023 and it really helped kickstart and re-spark my creativity as well as get back into hobbies that I abandoned for several years. Your 'Healing Your Inner Child' video is what helped my pause and reflect and realize that all these hobbies I abandoned were essential to my identity, what made me happy, and made me feel the most like myself and since having that realization, I am back on a much happier path in life. Thank you for taking the time to make this amazing, thorough video for all of us and for answering all our questions, and a very big thank you for always being the fill-in cheerleader and bestie that we all sometimes need. :)
Thank you. seriously you give so much great advise about re-programing your thoughts and taking care of yourself. I work 12pm-9pm most days and 7:45am- 6:15pm other days I'm exhausted and have no time for my hobbies, even on my days off I'm just exhausted and yet I feel guilty if I sit all day and do things I enjoyed without doing something "productive" first.
I love an appreciate all of this info you talked about as a person! I feel the exact way as you do about kids and marriage and so does my partner of 8 years ❤ great to get to know you as a “friend” 😊
just discovered you today and i am so glad i did. You are so intelligent and well-spoken while being kind and warm. You are definitley inspiring in so many ways. And! inspiring in a way that makes me want to be a better person in my own way and through my own journey instead of wishing I could be the "perfect person" that some other creators can make me feel. Thank you and I will be bingeing for the next coupla days
Okay I swear my last comment, I have DREAMED of being a creator and I was very steady for a while, and then I got burned out due to stress and I just creatively had more juice. I was ignoring more important parts of my life and now I feel like oh, it's just easier to let that dream die. I remember being a kid growing up on the start of TH-cam and going home after a long day at school thinking, yay time to watch my fave creators and knowing one day I would LOVE to do the same thing and to connect with others. Watching this has just given me so much insight into my own goals, work, creator-wise, all of it. Kennedy, while we all love the coziness, the maturity, and outlook on life that you have is so rare, having the mindset you do in your 20's is purely inspiring, it really is. I can't wait to try to apply some of this thinking into my own life genuinely. So thank you for sitting in that hot asf room and giving us insight and transparency, it really is beautiful.
It was so nice to hear you talk about letting the feelings define you. I’m going through a hard time right now and I just need to remember it won’t always be like this.
I just finished the video, loved all the questions and loved more the transparency in the responses. I really appreciate that you change your focus to not being about products, to be honest it's hard for me to follow content creators that only do videos because there's a sponsor, it feel so forced. Also watching content creators with a 9-5 helps me to feel grounded. My two cents regarding guilt when it comes to rest or hobby time is watch out, it happened to me and turned out to be anxiety, luckily I catch it just in time before it became a big deal. I literally didn't do things I enjoy because I had to do chores or work, or whatever I deemed productive.
Yeah sponsors are just a part of us creators being able to be full time, but I understand the ad fatigue lolol. And totally agree on the need for a mindset shift!
I recently found your channel and you are just a breath of fresh air. Aside from not identifying with your experience as a woman of color, I identify with so many of your past and current struggles and I felt so seen! I love to see someone on a journey of growth and healing that isn't just part of "grind culture"
kennedy!! this video has been so insightful to watch, the way i feel so similarly to you in many aspects of life, not only from a creator perspective, but also how i have always known in my heart that i don't want children or necessarily marriage either. so thank you sm for sharing! 🫶
Just wanted to say wachting your video’s savedme during corona/1ste Pregnancy and now with my second Pregnancy im bedstuck again and your doing it again, thankss so much❤
You are actually the most wonderful person and content creator!!!🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 Thank you for sharing your struggles and vulnerabilities~as someone who struggles it was so refreshing and inspiring to hear~much love!
Working on some cozy body doubling videos this fall (with no talking lol)! Would love to hear which hobbies/activities you want to see!👇🏽🤎
Crocheting or reading together would be fun ♥️
Anything crafty! 😍
@@CozyK can we please do the dishes and fold laundry? 😭😂
@@charmingkaradefinitely this!! and cleaning/organizing videos
Your mom being an interior designer makes so much sense! Your taste for decor is immaculate!! 🤌🏻
It’s incredibly refreshing to find someone who is also choosing to be childfree.
I need an extra set of hands at work because before me, there WERE two people doing this job, but hiring someone new are probably the last words management wants to hear :/
Gonna...try to block all of that and focus on a few minutes of coloring.
This could be from a number of things, so try tackling one at a time:
-food.

I had no idea how reassuring and validating it would feel to hear someone talk openly about being childfree on here, you’re an icon ❤
Thank you.
I'm sorry to hear about your brother! I am glad you've found reasons to continue. The world needs you!
Sending you love ❤ you’re worthy of it.
I'm so sorry about your brother ❤
Sending love to a fellow cozy friend. ❤ we got each others backs
sending you peace and unexpected sweet, beautiful moments that spark happiness in your heart. this is so tough to grow through and you're doing a wonderful job.
Child-free and switched to tea after coffee-anxiety? I’ve never related to someone more in my liiiife! I really appreciated and loved this cozy video, thank you for this! 🎉
I saw color and yap, and I came here YAP YAP YAP!!

I have ran myself a candle-lit bath SPECIFICALLY for this video! 2 hours of bliss 🤎

I’m in a candle-lit bath at this very second haha
Right!! Took me so long to realize I was the last person to take my own advice but I got there! loll
I really appreciate you
sending hugs
Your content brings me so much peace and joy and I hope you know how grateful your audience is for you!!!!
that makes me so happy to hearrrrr 🥹🥹
Hearing you say that you used to think you did not look good with curly hair completely bamboozled me. When I watch you videos I am always in awe with how beautiful your curls are! It's interesting that growing up you thought straight hair to be the ideal because I always wanted curly hair as a kid
Aww people our age have all been there with the curl acceptation journey! You look so great, I'm glad you grew your natural hair back. Also, thank you for your channel. It's become my happy place online.
I love this community omg

Basically learning how to have fun again 😊 I loved getting to know you better 🤎🧸 The format of this video was just what I needed ✨Hope you’re having a good day (or taking care of yourself if you’re not 🫶)
I love that mentality!! And thank youu🫶🏽🫶🏽
didnt see the video length but im sooo glad i stayed for the whole thing. the way you speak is so well put together and straight forward. the part where you talked about not putting yourself down and not letting your thoughts have agency really struck with me. your one of the few youtubers that make me feel better after watching, and not like im just internet rotting lmao. i appreciate your channel a lot❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank youuuu🤎🤎
You have tremendous insight for one so young. It has taken me years, decades, to get to the point where I can even begin to let go of "stuff." It will still take me some time to stop the "fight or flight" feelings and just be. I felt different and not accepted for different reasons than what you mentioned but it is difficult to know you are not accepted for who you are and to feel it is not, and never, enough. Refreshing to hear this spoken out loud "you are enough" "it is ok." Thanks, Kennedy. Keep up the great work. I'll be around. Btw, I love your hair.

I did not expect this video to be so healing.

You always inspire me to relax harder than I work
“Relax harder than you work” I love that!!!

Ahhh this came right on time 🥹What I love most about your yappings is the balance between just real talk, being vulnerable and mental health insights versus hobby’s and cozy relaxations. Honestly it goes hand in hand perfectly!
Didn't come expecting a free therapy session full of things i needed to here...thank you actually
This was SO healing. THANK YOU.
Thank you for everything you do and the comfort you provide us all 🧡
You are someone i can actually watch for 2 hours
this was SO SO good!! loved learning so much about you and just everything in general.
HER NAME OUTFIT SCREAMS COZYYY! LOVING HER HAIR!!!
Thanks to your chatty vlogs I've been able to make great progress on it (:

You are so wise and your advice is always so comforting.

I’m late to the game but thank you for this yappy video! Love hearing about your life - and it’s the perfect listen while I’m doing boring chores around the house! You inspire me every day to be more positive and find the little joys in every day life ❤
Loved this Q&A! i just realised that one of my cosy hobbies is to just watch horses be horses, so I've just applied for a job at the stables nearby :)
LOVE your long videos! You are so kind and easy going, I always put your videos on while I do my hobbies and it's super cozy
Your always so inspiring I literally started watching you for cleaning videos and because I loved your curls I stayed for your opinions
