Rob you are driving me mad at the moment! I can't afford the new Infinity 2024 as yet and I'm pulling my hair out thinking of ways to raise the cash as quick as I can while you are bumping out these videos making me want one even more. 🤣 I've had the old Evo, and I now have a custom Infinity, because when I bought the Giraldez, that was a let down for me, so I created a Frankenstein from my infinity with the best bits of the Giraldez and sold off the flashy short body, Rhino horn and handle. Now my Infinity looks and feels fantastic. But the Infinity 2024 design has just blown my mind, I just know that I have to get one, and when I eventually do, the rest of my airbrushes will just be gathering dust.. A great discussion video Rob as always.
@@astralsolari I think the hole line up for 2024 is wicked but I still love the old brushes to pick now and again 👍and the end of the day you have an h&s in your coletion already that you get on with so win win when the time is right you will get one I know it 😉
It's nice to hear you say it the way you did when you were talking about what you can achieve with a brush. Too many people think a detail brush will make them a better painter. Really it's the skills, practice, knowledge and trigger control that make you better. Using a precision brush just makes it easier to pull that out and show it when you know what you are doing.
@@rankcolour8780 hi thank you for the feedback on the video glad you enjoyed it 👍 and yes the more experience you have on a brush does help That's why I like to do these sorts of videos for people starting out they get to here the full breakdown of what they are going to get Thanks again all the best rob 👍
I bought the Infinity 2024 when it was available, and am very excited to get it. You are such an inspiration to work on my skills. I hope to do it justice!
It was good to hear your thoughts on how the new 2024 brushes have changed from the older designs this info should be very useful to anyone starting out on their journey in airbrushing which will save people a lot of money buying brushes that won't help them and is a waste of money, I wish I had something like this when I started with my full size spray guns👌 I had to laugh when you said you was like a kid in a sweetshop when you got the latest H&S brush as I'm the same when I get a new gun, I just can't wait to get using it😛😂
Great video, I have the Evoloution and the 2024 Evoloution and find H&S design, engineering and manufacturing are at another level with the 2024 version. So god knows what the 2024 Infinity is like to use. I have watched you're art work with the Infinity and it's amazing, good to see your enthusiasm on these three airbrushes.
@@harryaudia6 totally agree with you 👍 the infinity is something else it really is 🤩cannot put it down at the moment thank you for the feedback on the video Really appreciate that
I bought Infinity last year when I kind of returned to my child hobby. I replaced them with Evo2024 triggers. Larger place for my index finger is just a bonus. New construction of the trigger has no play like pre 2024 trggers. This is the main upgrade/repair compared to the older brushes. Now, I'm just waiting to HS to send me an confirmation email to send me their new Infinity.
I just fell on your video and I have to agree with you as I have been using the Infinity brush for over ten years painting German N gauge model trains. I bought the Squidmar yesterday and like you cannot wait to start using it. I'm really looking forward to using it. Interesting how you said ladies would love using the old Evo as their fingers are small and I get that as my hands as super small for a guy, which is a bonus using H&S brushes. I had to put up with the aching for nearly a year due to my very small hands. The pain factor is your brush training IMO! Seen your Bruce Lee video you are a scary artist man very impressive.
Rob, I saw the video when you modified your older Infinity trigger to make it more responsive. I was wondering if they corrected that problem with the new Infinity?
My ranking Takumi Micron, old Infinity, Eclipse, Ultra 2024, Evo 2024, Evo Silver - now i hope the new Infinity change my ranking at the top. We will see, i promise i will test and explaine fair. But i trust in Warrick. The combinaton of new technic and easy to use everyday cant fail.
I bought the ultra 2024 and love it. I just recently bought the squidmar infinity 2024 brush and am excited to use it. Do you think I jumped the gun and should have bought the evolution 2024 instead as my next jump up? I keep hearing the evo is a great workhorse. Can the infinity also be a workhorse or is it only meant for fine details/finishing touches? I haven’t properly trained my airbrushing muscles yet so will be a bit before I start using the infinity anyway but curious of your thoughts
I started with an evo solo in nickel, picked up an al plus version, then the HP-B+, a sotar and a giraldez infinity. Over the years I've developed trigger feel and how I want a brush to perform. For some reason the Iwata just performs that little bit better only because it sprays the different types of paint (Tamiya, MRP and Xtracolor) easier and finer. However, I find myself reaching for the al plus more. I've not had a 24 H&S yet but looking forward to getting the infinity. It will be interesting to see if the air velocity has changed and if the air delivery has changed at the front like does it still have the half moon slit on the R/H side.
I am not too hot about the cup, the bottom on mine gets small scratches that might develop into something noticable in 30 years or so. Jokes aside, I worked with the Ultra with a year with barely any instructions and now I rock with the Evo and feel really comfortable with the tool
@@anthonymelcher2704 the eclipse is a great brush are you mainly using that for base coats and bigger stuff🤔 I don't paint miniature but if you need the small stuff the evolution 2 in 1 setup with the 0.28 and 0.45 would be a great upgrade for you I think
I am currently using it as an all rounder for about 9 years now, but find if I want to get really close to do some OSL work or help with quick blending on a small scale it can be a struggle some times. Some of it is I need even more practice, but wasn’t sure if upgrading to something like the infinity or evo would give a little more precision when up very close.
I have the Evo 2024 and the Kyiv Infinity. I also primarily paint miniatures. The Evo is fabulous for priming, zenithal, glazing with inks, etc. It can also do an OSL if you are careful with the trigger; the beauty of the brush is that it will really deliver a lot of air and paint when you pull the trigger back all the way, but with a gentle touch and less PSI you can create with a lot of detail as well. I swap out between my Evo/Infinity (and I did pre-order the new 2024 Infinity) because I really like to use the airbrush for as many aspects of the paint project on a miniature that I can. Including base coating, shading, detail highlighting, etc. The higher level of detail from the Infinity is perfect for that.
