Why did I never think of using a little paint brush?! Brilliant thank you 😊😊
Thanks for the link to the holder, it's just what I'm looking for at the moment. Re the cleaning, I have invested in an Ultrasonic cleaner that I just throw all of the components into every few days as well as following your cleaning steps. It works well.
Nice one glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for the feedback
Thank you for a detailed tutorial. Keep up the good work!
Another excellent, straight forward video. Everything you need to know, nothing more.
Thanks for the video! Extremely helpful. Keep up the good work.
Father Christmas is still bringing them in for ya!.. Judging by your face on the H&S vid.. it is always Christmas when you get a new airbrush.. and what a beauty.. you had a smile from one side of the room to the other.. and so did I just watching you both.. If they have a new infinity in the pipeline I don't know how they are going to better that Evo. It looks the business.
Nice work, DRED. Gratz on the H&S invite & appearance!
Thank you, very informative and helpful.
Thanks Rob answered all my questions in one go. Bye the way enjoyed your video with Warwick. You two (sorry 3) looked like kiddies in a toyshop with the new Evo24. Great show .
Thank you for this video, it was just what I needed.
Your welcome glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the feedback
Those h+s assembly and disassembly are idiot proof and I'm the biggest one 🤪🤪 thanks Rob 😊😊😊
Great cleaning tutorial! 👌🏽I only add lube from the cup to the front of the brush. I find it to work just as good. I did lube the whole needle one time, to find out the needle chuck holder wouldn’t hold the needle and would slide fairly easy. Thought I had stripped something. Cleaned the lube off and worked great afterwards. Lovey brush👀. I’ll be back says Warwick !!👌🏽👍🏽
Sets the standard for clarity and thoroughness. Thx.
Another informative video and thanks for the link to airbrush holder.
4hank you and your welcome it's a good one that works 👍
I've seen people polish needle tips with jewelers polish. An extreme I never attempted. Good vid, thx.
Grazie per queste informazioni!!
Hey rob thumbs up on this video so when I get my squigmar black evolution 2024 sometime in the coming week I’ll be able to deep clean and take care of this airbrush.
Brilliant! I just bought this airbrush.
I have another video coming up on this airbrush which will be helpful thanks for watching
Thanx for this information i will go and clean mi airbrush the right way.
Some good info there Rob on looking after your new H&S Evolution brush, the more I see this the more I like it as it's a beautiful looking brush even though I don't use them I can appreciate the quality and work that has gone onto making it👌🙏👍
Stop it John! I want to wait and see what the infinity would be like .. so I can make a decision between the 3. Robbie better do an awesome review on that one that would be able to convince the wife it’s justifiable😉
All you need to do to convince your wife is to do the usual....
Wine and dine her, buy her some flowers and a box of chocolates and tell her the infinity would be a great asset to her as well she could use it for her makeup and for cooking then buy her a cheap £20 brush and put it in the infinity case😎 it just can't fail🤠🤣
@@JohnWD40TC02 great advice thanks😎🫡🤠😀I’ll keep you up to date
Thanks for this perfect turtorial👍
Your welcome glad you liked it 👍
And thank you for the feedback on the video
Super helpful vid! It really shows you know what you're talking about with real world time behind the trigger. One thing I've taken to using is those squirter medical bottles that some tattoo shops use. The ones that you can squirt while they are standing upright. Easy to squirt with a pinpoint spray and doesn't spill when I knock it over. And ya... I use Q-Tips / Cotton Swabs all the time with no trouble. And I use the cheapest of the cheap ones to boot.
Yes spot on I want to get one of them bottles 👍thanks for the feedback much appreciated 👍
❤ thank you as usual perfect explanation
Your welcome glad you liked it 👍
Thank you for this comprehensive video! It's awesome. What might cause paint to collect on the very front of the airbrush? Specifically those two prongs at the front. I'm finding paint is collecting there and later it splatters if I don't clean it off 🤔 am I doing something wrong?
very good tuition video, learn a lot from it.
Great video! I appreciate the tutorial!
Thank you glad you enjoyed it 👍
sweet brush love my ultra and maby next xmas the evo will be my next one to replace my old evo
Like you I pull the needle out from the back but what I do is put some cleaner in the cup and use a artist brush cleaning what part of the needle that's visible then turn the needle and repeat pull the needle out a bit repeat, pull the needle out and wipe it off then put the brush bristles in each hole and turn the brush then pour some cleaner through, put needle back in "job done".
Hello Dred. I look videos about Airbrushes since a few weeks. I never, never, never saw anyone ho clean up this with so dedication like you. Absolut fantastic. I look many videos about airbrushes because i want to by one (my First). First i want to buy the new H&S ULTRA 2024. I want to paint minis (Warhammer) and terrains. I saw a video from H&S with Warrick, Andy Wardle and you. From the time you have the new H&S EVO 2024 in your hand you are so charmed from the evo, that i wan‘t the evo too 😅. In germany (sorry my english is not verry good) the new H&S EVO 2024 comes out end of january. I can‘t wait this few days 😫😅. Great Video. Greetings from germany 😉🤘🏽
Thank you much appreciated

Great video. Interested to know a cleaner you might recommend. I’ve used the Iwata and Vallejo stuff before. Should I use a heavier cleaner like the Tamiya one? Primarily use acrylic based paints with the occasional wash.
I've always got thinners to hand so that works for me I think find one that works best and stick to it 👍
Thanks for watching and feedback on the video
Another well produced and informative video. One question, do you ever take your cap off?🤫
Hi if you mean crown cap yes all the time if it's the h&s prong cap then no you can work with them ones on
An alternative to dedicated airbrush lubricating oil is Wahl hair clipper oil. It is extremely low viscosity and works just as well and at just under £7 for 118ml, roughly £60 per litre, is way cheaper than Iwata lube which is £16 per 10ml, which represents a staggering £1600 per litre! A complete no brainer!
Mukka you've forgotten to mention the dred fx tip tool 😊😊😊
Great video
Thank you glad you enjoyed it
@@dredfxcustompaint Exactly what I hoped H&S would stick on their channel, but you beat them to it! It's the little things like where to lubricate that helps a beginner.
❤️❤️
@@crangon78 👍
hey dredd can you please show us the tip dry tool .. where i can find it or may be make myself ?
thanks for another great video. this would be my first H&S brush, I was curious if you recommend using a mac valave attachment to control the air pressure on the evo? i noticed H&S has a evo that has their valve but its a big price jump especially compared to just getting one online.
Grab one for your airline they work good and it will do the job 👍here's a link for one

Grazie
Waiting to see what the new infinity has to offer. Back then the 1st Evolution was my first brush, the infinity the 2nd.
Yes both brushes you have are nice I now what's coming with the new infinity and cannot wait 😀 thanks for watching and the feedback
@@dredfxcustompaint Have a few more, you know, It happenens, the dust and the rising collection. I love my Iwata brushes as well. I need always 2 brushes ready for Rock and puddle.

If I am understanding this, if I flush everything clean between colors and immediately after a session, I shouldn't have to take the whole thing apart...ever. Is that correct?
I guess I don't understand why anyone would leave paint in it overnight when it takes seconds to flush clean.
Exactly just flush it after each session and your good to go
Tried all of that but still the Evolution craps all over my artwork when least expected. Never got anything out of this brush. Don’t know about Evo but for me it should be NSU - no sodding use.
I have one of these and, as a new airbrush user, really struggling. Session one was great. I cleaned it, or thought I did, but session two saw it blocking. I thought I had it sorted but bubbling back. I cleaned again. Left it. Now, within a minute, it blocked.
Any ideas? I’ve followed your video and baffled. Thanks.
What paint are you using first off 🤔
@@dredfxcustompaint Vallejo air primer. With thinner (not sure it’s needed). I think something was due to the trigger being fitted incorrectly (by me) as it’s now working okay. I think 😀
Do you have a Zenithal highlight tutorial?
Thanks for replying.
@@EstebanMcC glad you got it sorted 👍 as for the highlight tutorial I don't sorry
Please Help! My rear chuck doesn't grip the needle well. If I tighten it softly like you do, it doesn't grip. If I tighten it twice as much, it grips the needle but the rear chuck comes loose half a notch when I pull the trigger back. The airbrush still paints but the rear chuck isn't stuck in place. Is that normal or should it not move at all after you tighten it?
Hi it shouldn't do that it may have been over tightened so now it won't grip the needle may need a new one not sure with looking at it 🤔
I would drop h&s an email with the problem you have
@dredfxcustompaint noooo, I did email them waiting on a response. I remember I was getting air bubbles in my paint cup so I overtightened it and it stopped the bubbles. Maybe the needle wasn't seated correctly.
If it still works is it fine or should I get a new one? The gun is brand new I've only used it twice
Where can I get one of them cleaning pots bro ????
Everything airbrush mukka
@@dredfxcustompaint thanks mu man 😉😉
My crown cap won’t come off…what am i doing wrong??
Great video by the way.
The prong cap just pulls off the front of the brush the next part you undo
It is supposed to…but it sits very tight..cant grip it enough to take it of
This happens when paint gets under the crown cap and dries. Remove it and leave it in airbrush cleaner for a few hours. It will come off.
There is no paint…it is brand new..not even used yet. The extra nozzle that comes with it also the crown is stuck… i can spin then around although with some resistance, but the wont come of 😢
May I ask where you bought it
@Dred, Good advice. Yes, on a side note. Some prefer removing the needle at the nozzle end, some the reverse. Something I've noticed, drawing the needle from the nozzle/spray tip for removal. The stamped indentation of needle size ends up being a bit over sized and catches while passing through the plastic seals. Don't get me wrong, love the reminder of the needle in the brush, helps remind of the nozzle, you know. Thought was, if I can feel the passage of my stamped reminder at the end of the needle , I think I'm degrading the seals if one is so anal as to totally disassemble an airbrush. Read many old-timers stating total disassembly is unnecessary unless one hasn't done standard cleanup while working. I've also read, not sure in all cases', some manufactures will void warranty due to user disassembly..
Not an issue, H@S needles grab the seals on the way out the front end. So I would pull back to preserve the seals. H@S needles are fine, love needle size indication, just something for me to ramble about. In my defense, H@S rocks, good brushes. All I work with, they trained me.
As far as I know they haven’t been sent out yet.
I have one preordered, on the website they say the shipping will start on 17 january...
No matter what I try, I can’t for the life of me stop this sodding brush from spitting. Checked the seating of the needle, all connections checked and bees waxed. Cleaned to within an inch of its life. Whether it’s Createx or inks the same problem. Idont get this with the Iwata or the Badger even changed the compressor hose.
That's strange 🤔 having no problems with mine
@@dredfxcustompaint I got so fed up with it that I sent it back to Graphic Air. They did a very deep clean and it still sprayed poorly. Changed the nozzle and still not 100%. They also changed the air cap as it still wasn't atomising correctly. Now it seems to spray like a dream. They will test it more today and if OK will ship it back to me tomorrow.
@@cyrilpreece2658 great news must be the air cap or nozzle then 🤔 that's doing it that's a big surprise to me that it came to you that way
Because I have seen the testing station at h&s and the guys there test every brush with paint
