Although I don't have the money to go on any of these trips right now I really appreciate that you do them. I'm a single female and I don't have any friends to travel with like that, and I wouldn't go by myself. So one day hopefully I'll be able to go on one of these group trips. ❤

13:57 Mangosteens are so good. They are difficult to find in the US and in fact were illegal to import until 2007. I tried my first one in Vancouver. 😋

I've spent about 21 years in Thailand and lived there continuously for 18 years. The little hole in the wall places rock. And if you get out of Bangkok the prices drop on everything and guest houses are often far more fun than hotels and far cheaper and some have pools. I was shocked at how much room rates had gone up. My old hotel has gone up 50% post pandemic.
Also medical care in Thailand is vastly better than in America or Canada. I've had 3 surgeries there and one was a right shoulder reconstruction after a motorcycle crash- Thais are abysmally wreckkess drivers so be careful.

Definitely empathizing with the heat. I got heat exhaustion when I was there and it knocked me down for awhile which was a bummer. Looked fun though! Curious to see how Phuket treated you since the vegan options there were a bit more hit or miss for me depending on where I was.
yeah it totally depends on where you go in phuket but we definitely had a great time~ next thailand vlog will be in phuket :) omg yes the heat is very unbearable sometimes... so sad!

That sounds pretty damn good plenty of grapefruit in Bangkok. Thailand can be hard to stay away from the oily food and can be easy to gain weight, but good thing there’s lots of Muay Thai gyms to train at, Carbs FTW!! 💪💪💪
well its not the oil..most ppl go down pretty fast in thailand especially fat americans
its the sugar that makes ppl fat..not many seems to know that Thailand is the second biggest whitesugar producer in the world..after brazil..

It's both. Oil and sugar.
Both can co exist as negative for health outcomes and longevity and it dosen't have to be an either or fallacy. There are plenty studies on dietary fat health consequences just as there are plenty studies on refined carbs/sugar consequences. Fact!

Doesn’t pad Thai have egg?
2-3 servings of rice vermicelli or pad thai noodles (I used 1/4 package of 454g noodles)
1/2 package firm or extra firm tofu, cut into bite sized pieces
Sauce ingredients:
4 cloves garlic, minced
2-3 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp tamarind paste (find this in your local Asian supermarket or the Asian section of regular supermarkets)
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp vinegar
1 cup water
1 cup peanuts
1-2 cups bean sprouts
1/2 - 1 cup chopped cilantro/coriander
4 green onions, cut vertically
Sriracha (optional amount)
Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional)
nope. as you'll find out, most if not all of what you ever wanted to eat is accessible without harming animals.
You can get it without egg
