I made one of these in extra large and use it for toting clean laundry out of the dryer. It is perfect no matter how large the load! No more leaving a trail of socks behind as I transfer it to another room!
I only started to crochet a few months ago and I was able to crank this out in about 4 days. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern, it's going to make a great Christmas gift for my good friend :)
Thank you so much! It turned out great! I had 4 weight cotton in 3 shade of purple. It’s huge! Perfect for me being so tall. Will be back to school gifts for my grandkids’ teachers! ❤❤❤
Getting my cotton, and makeini several of these since stores are no longer carrying bags. I've seen several but this one is first I've seen I like Thank You.
Thank you very much for the video and very well explained demonstration which has aided my understanding a lot more. I will certainly be making this over and over for family and friends! 🌹
I like that bag. I’ve made some similar. They are nice, reusable, and washable ❤ Thank you. Looking for the next one. We use the yardage instead of meters but of course I’m in the USA, Virginia I’m still wanting to do your flower shawl but I got to get so wearable cotton. I’m on a budget 😂 The neckline… I might have trouble with 😊
Just finished/made my first of many French market bags! Bought a bunch more colors to make more of these wonderful bags. Thank you for this great tutorial!!💗
I have made something similar but love the way this one has been done, we love using these as our shopping bags they hold an awful lot. I will be making more presents for Christmas......
Looks fabulous, I’ve been wanting to make a shopping bag like this for ages. 🧶💗 you can buy Barilla brand pasta sauce down here in Australia as well. Fun to see the prices of your groceries. Looking forward to the produce bag tutorial Anja.
@@OpheliaTalks thank you Anja. My lovely daughter is also making one. I think it will be great for leotards, slippers and ballet class paraphernalia for my five year old granddaughter.

Yaotzin7781 you might just have to watch the size of the bag doesn't get too big for what you want as the yarn is thicker, but it should be ok. Hope this helps, Anja x
I used 4 weight. It is HUGE. ❤❤I suggest shortening the straps so it doesn’t hang down too far. I am 6’2” and it was perfect for me. I was able to get 28 skeins of DK yarn in it. Hope it helps!
For me it will be a lovely beach bag.
A great idea Cosmiccoffeecup, enjoy and thank you, Anja x
@@OpheliaTalks I will. I have many beach days ahead this summer.

I’m excited to see produce bag too. I have heard of using them as yarn cozy for wound balls of yarn if using center pull.

This is soooo beautiful!!!Can I use hook No.5?Thank you.
Yes of course you can daricafaranov5922! You'll just have looser netting with bigger holes. Anja x
@@OpheliaTalks Thank you very much Anja.
Love it en vind de kleur ook leuk Anja❤😊
Thank you Lashera, I wanted something I could find quickly!! Anja x
Super
hi - i know you say to use cotton; would there be a huge difference if i use acrylic yarn? will it not be as stretchy or would it get damaged?
@peacelovehappines931 it will actually be much more stretchy, so be careful how big you make it, and how long the handles!!!! Thank you, Anja x
@@OpheliaTalks ahh, okay!! thank you so much for replying!! xx
I have size 4 medium weight in cotton. Would it be too heavy for this bag?
Yaotzin7781 you might just have to watch the size of the bag doesn't get too big for what you want as the yarn is thicker, but it should be ok. Hope this helps, Anja x
I used 4 weight. It is HUGE. ❤❤I suggest shortening the straps so it doesn’t hang down too far. I am 6’2” and it was perfect for me. I was able to get 28 skeins of DK yarn in it. Hope it helps!
Lovely. I would do it a little bit shorter because tends to expand. Thank you❤
67ilsalund you can of course do it whatever size you wish, it's personal preference, Anja x
Anja, do you think that this would work in raffia
Hi dennylynn, I don't think it would as raffia is actually quite fragile, and when crocheted up it's quite stiff, so wouldn't have the drape. Anja x
@@OpheliaTalks thanks Anja x
❤❤❤❤❤
Is this yarn a #3 or #4 weight?
user-on7zd8yi8g it's a double knitting so it would be a 3 weight yarn, thank you, Anja x
Did I miss it????? how do you join the sides of the bag??
Cheryl at 10:47 timestamp you will see I start to decrease the sides, there's no sewing it together. Thanks, Anja x
👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Is this wool or cotton thread?
Hello mohuyaghosh5794, I do tell you in the beginning of the video what I'm using!! Thanks for watching, Anja x
@@OpheliaTalks Many many thanks ♥️
