    • @yarnTh3ory

    Hi, love this pattern! I'm just having trouble with the logic of corners and skipping a stitch, you kinda gloss over that part.. Can you please explain in a bit more detail what you do exactly?

    • @yarnTh3ory
      @yarnTh3ory  ปีที่แล้ว

      Please check out the written blog post for this pattern on my website ❤️

    • @anonymousopinion228
      @anonymousopinion228 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So like once you've made your base and you slip stich to that middle stich it should be like making the base all over again same pattern basically ... you'll "skip" 2 stiches by chaning two and double crocheting into that last rows double crochet ... the hardest part is that very first row for the base if you can do that you got it.

    I’m trying out making my mom one of these - is “multiple of 3, +7” the correct size change? Your chain at the start was 35, but 35 is a multiple of 3, +8.
    I could just try it out, but the yarn I’m using is really small and I’m going to have to use a lot more than 35 chains to get a decent bag, haha :)

    • @scifisyko
      @scifisyko 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I decided to try crocheting with plastic grocery bags, i like the irony of making a market bag out of plastic bags.. but girl when i tell you, if you think youre doing really well and getting very confident with your skills, go ahead and try to use plarn. It will humble you so fast 😭 it look me at least 45min to complete the base of the bag. Phew, its gonna be a hard one but u am so excited for the outcome!

    • @emilykimbrell2233

  • @emmawashington
    @emmawashington ปีที่แล้ว

    This is beautiful! The yarn i have is 51% cotton and 49% rayon from bamboo. Would that work?

  • @ipod4316
    @ipod4316 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Maybe I'm a bit stupid, but I can't tell when it starts to bend. I feel like I'm just making the base bigger and bigger.

    • @yarnTh3ory
      @yarnTh3ory  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The walls of the bag should begin to form fairly quickly. Are you by chance continuing to add increases at the corners?

    • @donettygodinho2492
      @donettygodinho2492 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the same reasons i opened up all my stitches 3 times..
      Now the 4th time its still not curving. Looks like a flat even on the lenght 19th holes and breath 13 holes

    So we can't use regular yarn for this, it has to be braided?

    • @yarnTh3ory
      @yarnTh3ory  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can use other materials. I would suggest two strands of a worsted weight cotton yarn held together to create a strong bag.

      It takes time to get your tension just right. You should practice making a small swatch (square) using the stitches from the pattern until you get your desired result.
