"Nice!"
I know Rome 2 has his flaws but my god it has the most epic Battles of the series
@Wesley Richardson i love medieval 2. imagine how awesome rome 2 could be if it had the modability of medieval
Yeh i love it
Alias Alias if rome had video fragments it would be great
Napoleon 3
The game was close to being really great. I know it’s been a while but some new potential evidence came up about the titles development and it seems pretty damning for their upper management. Article by a former dev involved in the battle AI. One who had a pretty bright spotlight in the trailers. Terrible read, not because it’s badly written but because it’s incredibly frustrating and you feel so much pity for the guy.
Highly recommend checking it out. Rome 2 news should do the trick.
Actually, the lusitani and the romans have some pretty nasty history with each other, so seeing lusitani fighting romans just for fun wouldnt be too far fetched.
also the sammnites mercenaries,
Are the lusitani the now a days portuguese?
Touched Spaghet well sure but wayyy after the punic wars
@@kdfjajsjsjejbxjejsjd2193 yes
Really
It would be heck of a show if pirates were in other team figthing firstly Rome and later landing in Carthage to sack the city.
remember that time when war of colony was stealing your footage?
yeah, that video is getting close to 3mil views....crayz
Pixelated Apollo Yo since you’re right here is this going to be every Monday? And side note that video introduced me to your channel and total war at all!
The__Critic It just keeps getting worse!
War of colony isn’t the only game doing that. Every MMO game is stealing footage and doing false advertisement on Facebook. Guns of Glory steals footage from two games, one of which is a survival game. King of Avalon steals footage all the time.
Nathan Applegate what game does lords mobile steal from? (this is random memes alt by the way)
You should defenitly do a special battle about Spartacus, a army of gladiators against a Roman army
There's actually an entire workshop mod about the Spartacus Uprising for Rome II, you can play as any faction or as the slave uprising itself. Maybe Pixelated do something with it!
The romans will probably win that
This is the first great battle I actually watched on PA, and let me just say that you are AMAZING!!! I decided to rewatch, and wanted to let you know that this video is kind of like my introductory video to your content, and I LOVED it. Love you, man, keep it up!
Always good to see naval combat and siege battle and to have both of them in one battle is the most epic thing you can watch
I feel the the Carthagen player put up a spectacular defense here. It seemed like every moved the romans made, they has a response to and held ground a lot longer than I expected. And just when you thought he/she was done for, they sent two more units out of nowhere into the fray. Well done.
Sometimes when I'm watching TW videos and the player makes mistakes or stupid moves I'm like What you shoulda done so and so....
But sometimes when you're a player is not easy to always make the right choice in the heat of the moment.
Great video Apollo.
I remember when I was a defender on this exact map and I was playing Rome I had about 4 armoured legionnaires out at sea and I kept them in revserve and near the end of the siege when we were running out of troops I dropped these 4 units off and got behind everything archers pikemen hoplites most of the enemy force it was the best feeling every till you get cycle charged in the back but the generals bodyguard which I had forgot about but we still won any way
Awesome to see Carthage fight, definetly my favorite faction
It's pretty silly that the victory point is at the lowest part of the map, and it's not the Carthaginian citadel.
I like watching games like this, because they really show the small details that determine victory from defeat.
Lusitani, or as Apollo says, Lucytony
Apollo you missed mass suaside at 4:41 always found that mechanic the funniest in Rome total war 2.
Best Rome battle ever thanks pixelated appolo
I wish siege battles were likes this in Warhammer 2. Such a missed opportunity!! The siege battles would be epic!
Hi Apollo, love your videos. please do not take offensive. I just wanted to say that hiring pirates is almost always been done by the states which can hire. the reason is pirates are well experienced, not always organized but maneuverable and effective to harass enemies. love you!
I am eating greek grapes while watching this glorious.
At least it didn't turn out like d-day and 5000 troops dead on the beach....lel
Edit: thanks for the like Apollo!
Hope you keep up the good work..great vid by the way
That was a valiant defense. The Romans had more than I thought.
"Lusitani sending over some swordswomen...
...NICE"
I have been watching for 4 years
Ah yes, the famous mercenaries Lucy and Tony, haven’t heard about the, from you for a while, Pixie 😉 bit of nostalgia for my lunchbreak
Really cool siege ! when I remember that there are no naval battles in three kingdoms .. the total war are not excellent as before 😥
Been watching your uploads for the past week and am totally addicted. Love the commentary which adds loads and also your knowledge of the game. Sets it apart from most streamers. Thanks loads :)
Thank you for making this, I really like siege battles :)
Super fun vid your the best i bougth Total war Rome II because you are here Thanks for all the content have fun further in your channel
Loving the start of seige week
Glorious!!!!!!!!! Seige week, thanks again Apollo!!
Apollo you have made my Monday so much better, and for that I thank you! Cheers from a very long time fan!
Now that what I cald a battle, your commentary making it more cool Apollo
Хорошее видео к оригинальному Rome2: Total war! Мне понравилось.
In this video: Apollo, the dyslexic mysogynist.
I'm joking of course. Great video, alright commentary
I came to Chartage,I conquered Carthage,I salted Carthage
And then reclined in a chair eating grapes and drinking the tears of Carthaginian widows
No u
Lol, I had so much hope for those fiery balls of justice.
That was epic! Really enjoying "Siege Week" Thank you Apollo :)
Here’s an idea. You should do life of a soldier but as an elephant rider. Just and Idea though. Love the videos. Keep up the good work.
Maybe if Carthage had some calvalry and elephants to sally out, archers far earlier on the walls, and a few ambush groups in the forests, Carthage would have totally had it.
This was pretty epic, but it got me longing for a clash between gladiators and club levy.
Loving the amount of Rome 2 vids lately 😁😁 ALSO WOOOOO SIEGE WEEEEEEKKKKK
just started to play rome total war after seeing you play had fun must get rome 2 thanks
Moment of silence for the dude that was controlling the naval romans... didnt even get to play 😔😔
This model of Carthage is a little bit off scale from how actually big it was.
These total war games are Apalo at his best. I hope they release a good total war game soon we need him back in the community
Rome 2 battles look SO good nowdays, 60 fps (my pc) and looks amazing. And the glitches are gone
Pixellated Apollo. Where you can see Lucy-Tony and RDA fighting alongside Carthage against Rome. :-D
Fun fact we learned today about Carthage and this battle is already this is my favorite battle
Damn you must really be digging Rome 2 with all the videos. All hail Apollo!
That naval battle was just really unfair.
I was the one who hosted the battle and the naval battle was not designed to be fair, it was supposed to be a one-sided fight to begin with as the land battle was a 3v2 with 3 attacking Romes, the remaining forces of the naval battle had to reinforce the hopelessly outnumbered land defenders and save the day, that's how the battle was designed.
Great video, the Lusitoni... wait LosiTANI had some bad luck with their traps. Also, Lusitoni women - nice!
Not just the swordmen but the swordwoman and swordchildren too
That was awesome!
ports , natural enemy of ships, everyone knows that
By about 38 minutes in, I would retreat most of my units, using some soldiers as a decoy/sacrifice, and hope that enough time could be purchased for me to rest my soldiers and regroup at the hill at the center of the city.
again another magnificent battle nice job apollo
Hell of a way to start off Siege Week!!!!
Just off the bat, I like the Roman player and his naval skills. There was a reason they could contend with Carthage at sea, and that was by no means their actual naval combat. Apollo, out of all things you get wrong, you got the crow right. The bridge designed to grapple and hold enemy boats, so Rome could use their superior military capabilities at sea. I've said it so many times, Romes greater skills lies in holding the line, and changing out troops fairly often. You'd be surprised at the minimal losses.
Just bought total war rome 2 today just because I liked these vids about total war n stuff
how is it going for you?
i very much just need one more war hammer video live from you just one more is all im asking after seage week
Carthage did have a proper not mercenary navy though. (Before it was sunk.)
It was there strong point I believe.
Yeah, they used to rule the seas!
Best siege battle I've ever seen. Amazing
You never disappoint Apollo never!
What an awesome battle. Sadly the Lusitani were too spread out near the wall and couldn't get to the town center in time...
do more naval battles especially napoleon
really fantastic battle! quality narration
Keep up the great content man. You make my day.
At least now we know Apollo's biggest weakness.
''The LusiTONI, oh, LuSOTAni, the LusoTONNEN troops,
oh crap, i mean,
LU-SI-TÃ-NI, now i got it right.''
Hahahha, your vids are the best
We need more naval battles!
Nice Video man. I like this one really much. 👌👍
This was amazing
This look like an other epic battle!
u second!! :-)
Glorfindel the golden and proud of it x)
@@Olivier-yb7zh lol this was my 4th time i was first in a video im always 3rd or 5th or 10th
No u
Rome 2 with Your graphics looks amazing! You should use debug camera for much better freedom of movement. It is very easy to activate it, there are howto videos on youtube.
What does it do?
@@cardaroy3556 it unlocks camera zoom and movement.
I knew this was over the moment that the Carthage pikes got charged while out of formation
Looks like the romans forgot to pray to Neptune.
That was an excellent battle.
This is probably my favourite battle
been watching you since warhammer nice to see how much youve grown!
Yeah siege week
I´m simple I see Portugal or Lusitania, I instantly press like :D, good siege battle!
I actually did a battle like this in my grand campaign. As Rome I attacked Carthago with about 5 armies, one of which was a transported one. I have the battle saved and it's actually quite amazing. It isn't a custom battle, but like, it took me like 20 turns to set up in the grand campaign + an entire campaign as Rome to make it possible.. So eh.. Like pl0x
Dude the maxed out graphics looks so good
Seems far better than Three Kingdoms. I never though I would say that about Rome 2.
I want to see cav charges
But the naval battles are very amazing and also very quick
I was looking at your merch and saw the defenders never won hoodie I was like that’s the truth and I need that hoodie
Binge watching these siege battles three left to go
"Lusitani using their wemen to make some money" if you know what I mean ^^
Shogun 2 is the best total war game but that also looks fun
With every lucatony lucatani you do a puppy is strangled...if you get it wrong no ones arsed
I wish you'd do more siege battles by sea
Ah, Apollo.
Long time no see, at least for me, but it's nice to prepare some coffe and watch a good massacre.
Considering Carthage maintained good relations with Gaulish and Iberian factions, the idea of the Luisitani fighting at Carthage actually has historical ground; there were most likely Carthaginian allies at Carthage...
Are you using any graphics mods?
And what’s your brightness/gamma
7:25, Jesus that’s dark. I can’t even tell if that is a feature or a coincidence
Love your vids
#pixelated Apollo : do you have some particular graphic preset to have a render like this ??
Your water is amazing !!
12:32 Rapollo, straight from the underground.
You don't need to worry, you are pronouncing Ardiaei in one of two accepted ways.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssss. Siege week is here
Excited for siege week
