Purchased this device some two weeks ago to use alongside my iPhone 14 Pro and I'm absolutely loving it. It's super quick, and responsive. The glyph interface offers is a refreshing novelty in the world of smartphones, and I love it. The hate this phone gets from some people is totally uncalled for. Nothing is a company trying out new things, and it's exciting to see what's more in store.
I like the dark colors theme which do reduce the blinding lights from the bright colors from the stock Android OS. The dark icons is definitely less intense on the eyes with all the bright colors.
I switched from my Pixel 7 to this and I'm very impressed. I don't miss my pixel at all. Well only miss that "call screening" feature. But everything else has been great. Get great software, great performance and amazing battery life. The camera has been good enough for me. Highly recommended this phone to anyone that's looking for a flagship that won't break the bank. Looking forward to seeing what nothing does with the Nothing 3.
Picked up the 512gb launch edition.. beautiful phone feels great... haven't enjoyed a new phone since the Huawei P9. Really excited to see what Nothing has in store going forward.
First British blower since Wileyfox. Much respect to Carl Pei for basing Nothing in good old Blighty. That’s aside, it’s a strong upper mid-ranger and definitely worth considering over the Pixel 7. Such a shame we couldn’t have a zoom lens but can’t have everything eh
I was so tempted to get a Wileyfox back in the day, they had a neat logo, I love foxes and they came with modded Android. But sadly, I was not able to get one here since they didn't ship outside the UK
I guess the Nothing team did their research before releasing OS 2.0 & phone(2). Not many people know you can just change the entire UI to monochrome in most devices' accessibility settings and get that distraction free mode without spending a dime. And, for the record, its much easier to just glance at the lock screen for notifications rather than looking at some silly lights at the back & wondering wtf exactly is going on. So, in essence, this phone is just much ado about Nothing.
@@jesusbarrera6916 No, but if you got the best looks paired with very capable and actually good hardware like in this package - why not.. and with that price point even more
There's an obvious problem with the flashing lights on the back.....if you want to cover it with a case...but I do like the look of the phone and they seem excellent value.
Hi, I really appreciated your very "over the top" review and with "raw" terms to highlight a truthful opinion! I live in Rome, Italy and I was planning to get the Nothing Phone 2 but the launch price here is absurd and I'm waiting for prime day for some good offer! No reviewer talks about the microphone part of these devices, and I wanted to ask you since it has 3 microphones, how does recording music (live concerts or even simple home acoustic guitar sessions) work? given the lack of a headphone jack via Bluetooth, how is the performance with headphones? what cidec does it support? for the photos I agree, I need a good product that has a battery that lasts all day until the evening and that is a valid travel companion during point-and-shoot trips out of town...I await your advice, thanks Luca
Chris, thinking of getting this for my daughter for crimbo, camera tech doesnt matter, just battery life, the abilty to waste hours on youtube and tiktok, and a good few hours on genshin impact.... Seriously yes, but it's amazing how many 'premium' phones are scratched up after just a few days of being used as an actual phone (rather than simply occasionally used to take pictures)
I wish Nothing Phone (2) would be equipped with 2 better features. It still can't beat my OnePlus 10 Pro and since they fixed the bloody issues so many months after this phone release I am not mad at it anymore. I would consider swapping for NP(2) though, only if they had a fast wireless charging and a hardware alert slider like OnePlus phones. Let's wait for NP(3) then 😀
@@camotech1314 What won't happen? Upgrading NP(3) to a faster wireless charging or adding hardware alert slider? I would appreciate the first one, I can live without the latter, although I'm very used to it.

I was not interested in it until i saw the phone 2 it definitely has some possibilities the only thing I don't know about it is that you wouldn't want to protect it with a case which would cover the gliph. This phone is to expensive. 700 euros for what? To much cuts and sacrifice's. Not the latest chipset, bad camera's, not the fastest charging,no charging adapter, no 5000ma battery like most of the phones..
Love my Nothing 1 with 12gb ram and 256gb storage. Also is smaller and cheaper than this phone. I feel like they should have put SD7 Gen 2 in Nothing 2 instead. It would increase battery life and lower the price significantly.
I have purchased the phone 2 and the speaker is pretty awful. It sounds tinny with the absence of base. It’s a lot worse than my 4 year old Oneplus 7 pro. Does anyone have the same experience ¿

And what we most certainly don't want is a "Kick in the Cock"😂😂. Belting review as always Uncle Spurt. Wondering whether to go for this in 256gb or a OnePlus 11 in 256gb, seeing as the OP11 has dropped in price and can be had for only £50 more🤔🤔🤔
I have an OP 11. They are a few issues. Back glasses are prone to cracking in people's pockets. Mine has. It's a major design fault with the design of camera bump. Unlike the Oppo find series it's not built into the back glass as one piece so any pressure on the camera bump puts too much pressure on the back glass and it shatters. The software is a mish mash of colour OS and Android. They call it Oxygen OS. It's no such thing. It has some horrible annoying quirks. You can't use full icon packs on the standard launcher. If you try any 3rd party launcher it has a very annoying 3 second input lag. The night mode doesn't do anything. There is no difference between photos taken in night mode or normal photo mode. The 100W SuperVOOC charging is a gimmick. It charges just as quickly using a 65W oneplus charger... The list goes on.
