bought 11r a month back and didnt click pictures that much and one day we were in a restaurant(pub) which was very poorly lit and I was blown away by its low light performance didnt except such good photos under low light.
As per latest community update from Nothing, Nothing OS 2.0.2 is coming in August. You should have done this comparison after that update as that update is going to improve the camera of Nothing 2

No it doesn't. Only thing OnePlus has over Nothing is Netflix HDR support (which comes at the cost of bloatwares) and higher pixel density. Phone 2 runs most apps on 120Hz refresh rate and it has LTPO. 11R doesn't. It comes with poor front screen protection. That along with a curved display panel is a disaster. Talking about performance, NothingOS is far smoother than OxygenOS. It shouldn't even be compared.

For me camera has more priority than battery, generally in this price segment finding a balance between these 2 is tough, I have a pixel 6a, it has a slightly low battery life, but that's not actually a big deal, here also I would pick the pixel 7a, it's camera is exceptionally better than the other 2. I wonder how will it be if we installed gcam on one plus 11r (5000 mah), it may become the perfect phone at that price range, they should include that as a separate section into the videos, it can really change the camera performance.

In my experience if still photography is your main consideration go for pixel but if you take video even a little bit stay away from pixel even that maybe a pro variant because pixel is always bad in video be it detail retention or HDR bloom correction pixel is utter disappointment ( from 7 pro wounded experience)
Has been a week since i got my phone(2). If you are planning to buy it only for it's glyph, then DON'T. You will most likely don't use it and only turn it on for ringtones, notification, and timer. ~But after using it, i realiszed the OS of this phone is INSANELY good. Way better than any other phone in the market. ~If you prefer your PRIVACY and SECURITY, then go for this phone. The only options are Pixel or this one. ~The design is very good, as of now two people have stopped just to ask what phone I'm using. ~The camera is really good. (especially rear) Most likely if you are a professional you may find some faults, but if you are a average user like me then the camera is really good. ~Charing is very good. (in 20 mintues 45 - 50%) ~But most importantly, if you want to be productive, not get lost in the cycle endless scrolling and wasting time, then this phone does a great job in preventing it. Just install Nothing Icon Pack it will make all the apps black and white.

People would say it's hassle but again it can make a huge difference even on Pixel, Samsung or iPhone
Been using the nothing 1 for quite sometime now and honestly I'm not having any reason to upgrade now. I really liked the phone 2 but after the os update on phone one, the only difference they both have are the glyphs. I'm not having any issues with phone one. You forgot features like Now Playing, Magic Eraser, Android Beta Program for testing future updates and whole lot more on the Pixel. These are legit features that deserve a point IMO.
I may recall that Oneplus has lot many features too like 1) work life balance , Focus mode (i use it for insta :P) 2) bedtime scnario 3) draw over screen for few actions (flash n all ) 4) zen mode, perofrmance mode with fps n lot stats. 5) phone clone utility. 6) alert slider to quick toggel for meetings, naps etc. While stop timer and glyph lights are good but then..above weighs far more

After being launched, It has already got 2 updates with lots of bugs getting fixed and some features getting added as well (like 2x in portrait)... The whole team of the NOTHING company is appointed to work on just 2 phones, and their history regarding updates was pretty decent with Phone 1, so just go for it

Got the phone 2 12/256 at 46k including charger (per order 50% off on accessories )and I'm pretty happy with it in . Everything feels so smooth and fast the gamit the camera everything although it still needs optimisation in gaming a bit i get render lag in the phone 2 but not between fights (BGMI) and the artificial lighting camera performance needs to be fixed . Well i trust nothing in software department they've already rolled out 2 updates on this phone .

OP11R has 1.5k display while he said 1080p. On Performance mode, it scores better than nothing. And camera is also good. Don't listen to this youtuber, he is totally biased.
I don't know exactly the price in India of last year's high-end smartphones, but, in many markets, smartphones like OnePlus 10 Pro, Oppo Find X5 Pro, S22 Plus (Snapdragon) even often S22 Ultra, Vivo X80 Pro, Pixel 7 Pro, iPhone 13... are priced at almost same as this Nothing Phone 2, and personally, I think they are all better deals than this Nothing Phone 2. 🙏🏽

Just wanna ad a quick advice, If you have read this it will surely help you making your buying decision. Review is based on price to performance. Nothing has definitely good software definitely better than Oxygen os but it's not something special and you will be bored after few days. They both have now pretty stable, bloatware free experience. Coming to camera's there nothing much difference as of know but i know it will be going to better after updates. They both have best chips so they will not lag in any day to day usage. Use of Gliff light will vary person to person. If you really want to go with nothing you can wait for sales. But remind you as it does not comes with charger in the box so add that price to the phone and at 39k Oneplus offers a phone that is suitable for most day to day users. There's nothing special as you can get Samsung S22plus at 50k right now( it will be cheaper during sales) if you are going for 45k with additional costs then you should consider Samsung S22plus or Iphone 13 or 14 during sales. Samsung is way better in every aspects even in most stable , clean and bug free software with better build, cameras,ip rating and Samsung branding. Thanks for reading hope it helps ❤
Bro literally skipped that OnePlus performance can be uncapped in the settings. Also OnePlus's Alert Slider seems more handy to me and it charges the phone in almost 35minute and lasts 7-8hr. It seems like he's keen on selling the Nothing Phone 2 which is also no doubt is a great experience. But I like it's OS more than the gimmicky glyph lights.
There is a reason S22+ sells under 50k. That phone is trash. Dead battery and overheating out of the box. iPhone 13 won't come under 45k and Nothing Phone 2 performs much better than iPhone 13.

i was happy with my nothing phone 1 but i anyways switched to the phone 2 and first of all the battery is amazing, i can last more than a whole day of heavy careless use (phone 1 i had to use battery saver to last a whole heavy day but mostly good) but as i saw with the phone 1 improving over time i can see that the phone 2 will also improve at the same rate espessaly because i got the 2.0.2 update today improving the HDR photo night mode and portrait blur which were the only slight problems in the phone noticed by reviewers

Actually, OP 11r has a 1.5k resolution display compared to full hd+ on NP 2. If u switch on the high performance mode on OP 11r, it shows similar benchmarks to NP2, infact on Cinebench (& wildlife 3D test), OP performs better. The review seems biased although NP 2 is better than OP 11r, fact!
@@JessePinkman-uf9zhu wish, my friend actually has NP 2 and battery life is almost similar. I do casual gaming and still manage 7 hrs which he does as well. But with 100w charger in the box, 11r has an edge in case of battery.
@@mehh04 I get 9 hours of SoT with my Phone. Maybe your friend's device is defective. Do check out battery tests conducted by several creators on TH-cam. The difference is huge. The 100W charger degrades the battery quicker. They are also expensive to replace. Not exactly an advantage. There's a reason Samsung and Apple offer 30W charging in their flagship devices.

With 15w charging, they manage to lose more than 5-7 % battery health. I previously used realme X2 pro with a 50w charger for 2.5 years, trust me, battery life was the least of my issues. My 11r gets charged in like 22 mins when I plug it in from around 20. That's a win for me. Maybe not for you🤷. I wouldn't mind charging it again (which I never had mostly) cause I can charge 2 times with the time I'll need to charge NP 2.
I had the OnePlus 6 in 2018 which i purchased for 39999. Compared to that price, you're getting good specs for the same price point esp when you compare it with othr flagships from last year rocking the same processor.

Avg cameras, speakers, haptics, No IP68/,67, USB 2.0 etc @45k+ is not acceptable on Np2. Lastly, Op11R is simply better for gaming due to better thermals. Also, Pixel 7a has better software due to its incredible AI and Titan security chip. *I would put Nothing's UI below Pixels Material UI and Samsung's One UI.* Btw, Wireless charging and Ip67 on Pixel 7a are way more useful than glyph lights. People have no clue about heating issues in pixel even in pro models. You can't even attend a meeting outside and it gives me a fear of exploding always. I don't have the problem in iphones for some obvious reasons.
So many dumb things Prateek said in this video. The biggesy joke was the justification part on NP2 HDR capability on Netflix portion. HDR conrols the contrast and gives a superior result over the SDR. Brightness does brighten up everything, even the dark scenes. Contrast, which is much higher and balanced in HDR, produces a balanced true to life video/ picture. That clip he played was a dark, night scenes. It isn't suppose to be that bright. The peak panel brightness of all the phones, NP2 here is 1600, obviously it looks brighter than the others. It is irrelevant and absurd while watching Netflix or streaming anything at all. It just looks dumb. I don't hate NP2, actually considering getting that. But this is a huge negative for a ~50k phone. What a joke!
It doesn't just end here. This is a roller coaster. Prateek showed us the CPU throttling on IQoo, but never showed us neither the 11R's or the NP2. 11R is the champion here. It just doesn't throttle more than 3-4% in the long run. Whole NP2, for obvious reasons throttles just like a normal phone. Don't know why Prateek never mentioned it here.
Totally biased towards Nothing phone 2.. Skipped the fast charging feature which is very useful in day to day usage, plus widgets and always on display, i think OP has gesture controls and those widgets are just useless to be honest..the alert slider is a much more practical feature..
If Carl Pei wants to compare Nothing phone with iPhone then they should have plans to provide more number of years of software support as similar to iOS. Else why we need to buy at premium price.
Okay man, the problem with hype is it makes people blind to practicalities. Having IP67 resistance alongside wireless charging is much more practical than jingle lights. As simple as that.

My Nothing Phone (1) had Motherboard Issue. I used it for 14 Months and one day the Mobile got switched off, I approached the Service Center and they have asked me for 21000/- INR to replace the Motherboard 😒
Nothing OS is excellent. Pixel with a cheery on the top, also this brand focuses on little things and pays attention to detail. Although phone is bit overpriced.

Bought nothing 2 512gb variant, it's so damn good, It takes crazy clear pics, The user experience is just awesome. Glyhps are not that useful but still look very awesome, everyone asks about this phone, it instantly grabs attention. totally loving the experience man. Also played GTA SA definate edition, it runs smoothly. For 37k I can't think of anything better.

For me camera has more priority than battery, generally in this price segment finding a balance between these 2 is tough, I have a pixel 6a, it has a slightly low battery life, but that's not actually a big deal, here also I would pick the pixel 7a, it's camera is exceptionally better than the other 2.
I wonder how will it be if we installed gcam on one plus 11r (5000 mah), it may become the perfect phone at that price range, they should include that as a separate section into the videos, it can really change the camera performance.

In my experience if still photography is your main consideration go for pixel but if you take video even a little bit stay away from pixel even that maybe a pro variant because pixel is always bad in video be it detail retention or HDR bloom correction pixel is utter disappointment ( from 7 pro wounded experience)

Has been a week since i got my phone(2). If you are planning to buy it only for it's glyph, then DON'T.
You will most likely don't use it and only turn it on for ringtones, notification, and timer.
~But after using it, i realiszed the OS of this phone is INSANELY good. Way better than any other phone in the market.
~If you prefer your PRIVACY and SECURITY, then go for this phone. The only options are Pixel or this one.
~The design is very good, as of now two people have stopped just to ask what phone I'm using.
~The camera is really good. (especially rear) Most likely if you are a professional you may find some faults, but if you are a average user like me then the camera is really good.
~Charing is very good. (in 20 mintues 45 - 50%)
~But most importantly, if you want to be productive, not get lost in the cycle endless scrolling and wasting time, then this phone does a great job in preventing it. Just install Nothing Icon Pack it will make all the apps black and white.

People would say it's hassle but again it can make a huge difference even on Pixel, Samsung or iPhone

I really liked the phone 2 but after the os update on phone one, the only difference they both have are the glyphs. I'm not having any issues with phone one. Nothing Phone 2 directly fight with 40-45k Range... genuinely Nothing 1 Glyph light I was excited for max 1 months...then hardly I noticed glyph... Nothing phone is overall a great device but the glyph thing is a bit weird.
Come on man giving 1+ a 1 in terms of software is just wrong. Oxygen OS is pretty good why such hate? 1+ still gives a charger and a cover man that's just beautiful. No other brands does that.
Remove the Glyph interface (not the glass back) and relaunch it at least 8k less. There You Go, Flagship Killer that most would buy.
You should join their marketing team. You can help them reduce the cost by 8k just by removing a few LED strips.

Nothing has definitely good software definitely better than Oxygen os but it's not something special and you will be bored after few days. They both have now pretty stable, bloatware free experience. Coming to camera's there nothing much difference as of know but i know it will be going to better after updates. They both have best chips so they will not lag in any day to day usage. Use of Gliff light will vary person to person.
If you really want to go with nothing you can wait for sales.
But remind you as it does not comes with charger in the box so add that price to the phone and at 39k Oneplus offers a phone that is suitable for most day to day users. There's nothing special as you can get Samsung S22plus at 50k right now( it will be cheaper during sales) if you are going for 45k with additional costs then you should consider Samsung S22plus or Iphone 13 or 14 during sales. Samsung is way better in every aspects even in most stable , clean and bug free software with better build, cameras,ip rating and Samsung branding.

Bro literally skipped that OnePlus performance can be uncapped in the settings. Also OnePlus's Alert Slider seems more handy to me and it charges the phone in almost 35minute and lasts 7-8hr.
It seems like he's keen on selling the Nothing Phone 2 which is also no doubt is a great experience. But I like it's OS more than the gimmicky glyph lights.

I work at Netflix as a Software engineer and let me confirm that Netflix supporting Hdr has nothing to do with Netflix pre-installed or not.
Pixel 7a only problem is it's chip but i am sure tensor g3 will solve this issue and we might get tough competition from Google in future.
It's a good chip unless you're a hard-core gamer....and in that case, get the Op11r.

i was happy with my nothing phone 1 but i anyways switched to the phone 2 and first of all
the battery is amazing, i can last more than a whole day of heavy careless use (phone 1 i had to use battery saver to last a whole heavy day but mostly good)
but as i saw with the phone 1 improving over time i can see that the phone 2 will also improve at the same rate espessaly because i got the 2.0.2 update today
improving the HDR photo night mode and portrait blur which were the only slight problems in the phone noticed by reviewers

OP 11r has a 1.5k resolution display compared to full hd+ on NP 2.
If u switch on the high performance mode on OP 11r, it shows similar benchmarks to NP2, infact on Cinebench (& wildlife 3D test), OP performs better.
The review seems biased although NP 2 is better than OP 11r, fact!
I personally use 11r, 100w is a breeze and gives me well above 7 hrs of SoT.

The 100W charger degrades the battery quicker. They are also expensive to replace. Not exactly an advantage. There's a reason Samsung and Apple offer 30W charging in their flagship devices.

The biggesy joke was the justification part on NP2 HDR capability on Netflix portion.
HDR conrols the contrast and gives a superior result over the SDR. Brightness does brighten up everything, even the dark scenes. Contrast, which is much higher and balanced in HDR, produces a balanced true to life video/ picture. That clip he played was a dark, night scenes. It isn't suppose to be that bright.
The peak panel brightness of all the phones, NP2 here is 1600, obviously it looks brighter than the others. It is irrelevant and absurd while watching Netflix or streaming anything at all. It just looks dumb.
I don't hate NP2, actually considering getting that. But this is a huge negative for a ~50k phone.

Prateek showed us the CPU throttling on IQoo, but never showed us neither the 11R's or the NP2. 11R is the champion here. It just doesn't throttle more than 3-4% in the long run. Whole NP2, for obvious reasons throttles just like a normal phone.

Totally biased towards Nothing phone 2.. Skipped the fast charging feature which is very useful in day to day usage, plus widgets and always on display, i think OP has gesture controls and those widgets are just useless to be honest..the alert slider is a much more practical feature..

My Nothing Phone (1) had Motherboard Issue. I used it for 14 Months and one day the Mobile got switched off, I approached the Service Center and they have asked me for 21000/- INR to replace the Motherboard 😒
Nothing OS is excellent. Pixel with a cheery on the top, also this brand focuses on little things and pays attention to detail. Although phone is bit overpriced.
At 45k they should have included the charger and all. Its overpriced. Everything included and 45k would have been better.

Bought nothing 2 512gb variant, it's so damn good, It takes crazy clear pics, The user experience is just awesome. Glyhps are not that useful but still look very awesome, everyone asks about this phone, it instantly grabs attention. totally loving the experience man. Also played GTA SA definate edition, it runs smoothly. For 37k I can't think of anything better.

It's darker because that's just how HDR works (especially on Netflix these mfs make it way too dark),
If you want control of brightness and want SDR instead you can turn off HDR In the settings.
