Too bad that the pork rinds (flæskesvær) were the industrial version. Real flæskesvær has a rim of fat attached that make them much better.

Hi Emmy! Hob Nobs are not digestives. Hob nobs are very oaty (quite rough) whereas digestives are more of a wheat (more smooth). (for those who doubt me, I am british- lived here my whole life- and I eat a stupid amount of biscuits!!)

I don't quite understand why you only take a bite and high caution with the alcohol chocolate...? The amount of alcohol is negligible. Yet you seem to have no problem eating the other alcohol-free snacks loaded with sodium, sugar, fat, transfats and hydrogenated fats which are terrible for the baby.

    • @nickolasmoss9601
      @nickolasmoss9601 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

She stated quite a few times before that she rarely eats snacks and sweets outside videos. I don't quite understand your logic with alcohol being negligible towards the baby. And high levels of alcohol can harm the baby's health so it was smart of her to be careful

poertjt2 Well, for one, I'm absolutely in love with the language. It just sounds so enticing to me and all the pronunciations and sounds are just incredible (in my opinion.)
Secondly, their historic culture is very intriguing in the sense of vikings (of course, albeit Danish vikings weren't necessarily the ones to discover iceland, go to North America first, etc.), the fact they used to just plummet the English during those times, and their modern culture is just as rich. They're the happiest country in the world (statistically) and it's because they know how to treat their people and what not. PLUS THE DANISH PASTRIES (which they stole from the Austrians because the Austrians actually invented it :D)
      I dont know the Danes have always just fascinated me so much haha. I really want to visit and learn the language. Wow what a long reply, my bad ;A;

Digestive biscuits taste good, but they sound gross. They sound like they would taste fibrous, like cardboard.

Bit of advice, don't buy the First Price brand for quality. They basically make the most basic version of so many foods.
A list of some of the foods they sell:
    - Raisins
    - Chocolate milk
    - Peanuts
    - Cookies
    - Strawberry jam
    - Pasta
    - Sweetener
    - Chopped tomatoes
    - Sausages or "Hotdogs"
They even sell things that aren't food like:
    - Toilet cleaner
    - Rolls of paper
    - Diapers
    - Cat litter
They basically sell the very plain and boring versions of products, that other companies make at a higher quality.
The only good thing about them is that the prices of the products, they sell, are much lower than the same product, but from a different more-known-for-that-product company.
btw, the "salt chips", you tasted last time, were seasalt. The "hav" in "havsalt" is sea in English.

As funny as it is watching you make the yuck face, I'm glad you got to eat lovely dark chocolates instead of a million varieties of salted liquorice this time.
Did mosquitoes always love you this much or have they picked on you more since you became pregnant? (Just watched the SciShow, 3 Reason Mosquitoes Suck video.) th-cam.com/video/CKyrVzvjHWw/w-d-xo.htmlm47s

Oh boy, I miss those thin chocolate wafers so much! I've been to Denmark a few times to visit family, and I would always finish my breakfast with a piece of buttered bread with a bit of that chocolate on top. 😁

Cocio is actually easy to make at home, it is simply 3 Ingredients, unless they changed the recipe, which they may have, as the company was sold a few years ago
    Milk
    Sugar
    Cocoa Powder
It just needs to be low heated for 30 Minutes :)
The original recipe was made in a normal Kitchen, by a married couple, and i was born in the city it was invented, Esbjerg :)

Big fan! But I've got to ask what are you saying just before you taste the "pålægschokolade" on bread?? I've noticed you have been using the term before in other videos :D

Can all the English calm down lol. She mixed up digestive and hobnobs because Mcvites makes hobnobs and they also make digestives. Simple mistake guys :) Emmy this is what a digestive looks like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digestive_biscuit it doesnt have chocolate on them unless theyre chocolate ones ^-^

This is a lot more like the things I grew up with and I think the whole thing about the Cocio is spot on. I don't like American chocolate milk, because it's always way, way too sweet. Same with most of the chocolate in general. I think it's just a different taste palate. Definitely makes me homesick though!

Is marzipan not that common in America? I just noticed that you keep explaining what it is to the viewers ("it's a kind of almond paste"). Also, great selection of Danish sweets!

  • @Barl3000

Cocio is actually inspired by american chocolate milk, since the traditional danish chocolate milk is a bit different. It is called "Kakao mælk" (Cocoa Milk), is lot thicker and has a heavier chocolate taste. Cocio taste basically like Kakao mælk thinned down with regular milk.

There are cell phone apps that keep bugs away. Look for one that uses more than one frequency. Turn it on whenever you go outside, or when bugs might come get you. It works for me!
